For all ranks, consult the following chart: OFFICER RANKS i. Senior Officers -- a. Line Captain -- b. Captain ii. Executive Officers -- a. Commander -- b. Lieutenant Commander -- c. Lieutenant iii. Junior Officers -- a. Sub Lieutenant -- b. Acting Sub Lieutenant -- c. Ensign ENLISTED RANKS i. Non-Comissioned Officers -- a. Fleet Petty Officer -- b. Master Chief Petty Officer -- c. Chief Petty Officer ii. Other Enlisted Ranks -- a. Petty Officer II -- b. Petty Officer I -- c. Crewman Ships Captains, Executive Officers (XO), Medical Officers, Pilots and Operators can only be officers. Engineers are NCO ranks and above. Everyone else is enlisted (any rank, but DO NOT make a 17 year old Master Chief, I will find you and kill you!) This is the breakdown thus far.. Note that NOT EVERYONE CAN START A SHIP. Your character must be experienced,they cannot be recently freed and handed a Captaincy. If you want a Captain character, then please register the character before you register the ship.
