Districts:

  • Army District - The section of Eagle's Nest and surrounding land dedicated to the army's needs. Includes barracks, R&D facilities, training and proving grounds, as well as "central command"
  • Magical District - Same as the Army district except the buildings appear to be reinforced for both external and internal explosions
  • Air Force District - This technically covers all land around Eagle's Nest for 20 miles. Within the city proper it contains three air fields, barracks buildings, R&D facilities, and two training facilities. Ground combat training is done within the army district.
  • Civilian District - This contains non-military homes, schools, hospitals, temples, two universities, bars and clubs, as well as the civilian government buildings

Points of Interest:

  • Eagle's Nest Military Base - Even though the entire city shares this name, this is the main base that once served as the original Royal Palace and continues to serve as the auxiliary palace.
  • The Royal Kaymakli National Museum - Located next to ENMB
  • "The Wall of Blood" - A rust colored wall upon which the names and original military branch of those who have become a part of the royal elite are inscribed. A single line through the name denotes those who have died in the execution of their duty. Stands at the entrance to every barracks building.

The history of Kaymakli as a nation is a short one when compared to the history of other nations within the world of Arda. What had originally been an abandoned military base which was found by Zaron would quickly become the headquarters for a mercenary army led by him. Accepting a wide range of recruits from both the local towns and villages, as well as other parts of the world, the abandoned base quickly became active once more. Dubbed "The Eagle's Nest" by Zaron, he and his mercenaries would specialize in providing protection services to the local populations which did not fall under the safety offered by larger nations.

Resulting directly from providing protection to the local population, for a price of course, the original mercenary group quickly found itself in a new position as more and more towns and villages offered to become a part of the Eagle's Nest. Seeing an opportunity for stability, Zaron accepted these offers. In time the amount of towns and villages which volunteered to be a part of the new nation, named Kaymakli, expanded to consist of approximately a quarter of the mainland. The latest, and last, city to be included in this expansion has become the city of Philadelphia which was liberated from a criminal government after a siege that lasted several months. As time went by the city of Philadelphia would shift from a once semi-independent city to the nation’s political capital as the major syndicates were taken down and the ice zombies which once terrorized its’ citizens were destroyed.

Taking a military isolationist stance, Kaymakli has refused to enter any conflict which did not directly involve them. Instead it has entered separate trade agreements with the nation of Erufu across the mainland sea to the west and with the island nation of Xenshi.

Kaymakli as a nation is generally open to all so long as the laws as followed. After all, it is both a military nation that tries to remain out of international conflicts and a nation run by a vampire and werewolf which isn't a den of murder/slavery (i.e. goes against common narrative).

If someone wants to play an official position such as a higher government member/military officer they would need to contact me (Ed). This is mainly so I can make sure they get the correct information for their position. Same applies if they want to be a member of the royal guard, but that is more due to the special stipulations (they being blood bound to Zaron specifically).
