Physical Description: Six foot, three inches tall. Weighs approximately 210lbs. Has a pale yet healthy looking pallor unlike most vampires. Has got long, jet black hair and chocolate brown eyes. Usually has a goatee of some sort. Branded on the palm of his left hand is a black crescent moon. When he speaks, and really most of the time unless he has a need to use them, his fangs remain retracted in his mouth. His voice is a mixture the natural deepness of a baritone with the slightly higher tones of a tenor when it comes to certain letters. It should be noted here that Zaron does not breathe unless he has to in order to smell something or to speak and that he often forgets to blink, as well as the fact that when standing in front of any reflective surface he will show no reflection nor will he turn up on a camera unless one is looking directly through the lens at him.

Personality:
Public - Upon the eyes of the public, Zaron projects a personality that could only be described as cold. Indeed, he makes little effort to hide the fact that he is an undead vampire. "Warm" gestures are almost completely absent, and when he speaks there is no emotion within his voice. To the world, he is the cold, undead, yet benevolent ruler of Kaymakli. The one whom will make the hard decisions but always with their good in his thoughts. The exception to his coldness are those rare public events where the entire royal family, including his adopted son, are present. It is there that one might catch a brief glimpse at the king's private personality.

Private - If in public Zaron is as cold as the harshest winter, then in private it is where the rays of his summer could be found. It is here that he allows himself the indulgence of those vestiges to his humanity that he has clung onto over the course of the centuries. The vampire dies within the halls of his private life, remaining so unless necessary, and the father is allowed to live.

Power Weakness: With the exception of Auspex, all of Zaron's disciplines require him to use some of his blood in order to activate them (as in the case of Celerity, Potence, Fortitude) or for each usage. By forcing Zaron to loose blood in one way or another, one can cut down his ability to use his powers. The exception being with Auspex as that is all mentally driven but it's powers can be countered with less drastic measures (someone with strong enough mental training can resist his telepathy, overwhelming the senses he heightens, breaking his concentration, ect).

Background:
There was once a divided land where crime and instability were the ways of the land. Where poverty varied from settlement to settlement, and corruption ruled the largest city of them all.

No more.

That land was united, conquored, tamed. The festering boil was brought to a lance, scrubbed, and dressed. The people were unified. All species were accepted.

All because of a vampire that wished... no more. The would be king united the divided land, gave it a common purpose. He helped defend it when the world looked to be in peril.

In the end, the vampire became a king. The king of one of the larger nations within Arda. A king with a family once more.

But all kings must step down. All vampires must eventually slumber. His queen was not left to rule. His "son" was given the option to take the mantel in the future. His nation was left to the machinations which he had left in place before slumbering.

A tomb was created beneth the statue to him found within the military capital. Each night the "Bloodening" occurred, a ritual where those who belonged to his royal guard would offer a sacrifice of either 8 pints of cold blood, or a prisoner sentenced to death, within a room completely sealed off from all light. For it is within this chamber that the king rests, existing as a mass of "living" shadow which either absorbs the sacrificed blood... or kills the prisoner. On the first of each month they each sip from a vessel containing blood which was left behind by the king in order to further their lifespan, and further bind them to him.

Or so they believe.

Even a king deserves to step away from the crown. And he never quite liked the tradition of a long slumber. One tended to miss so much that way. Sure, he intends return every hundred years to give his retainers some more blood. Even stick around for a bit. Who knows. Perhaps he might just let them all rot at that point, in the most literal fashion. Who knows how he might feel in a hundred years.
