This afternoon, details have been released regarding the current controversy of Reverend Justin Price and the anti-mutant extremist movement that's caused violence to break out on a near world wide scale. The President has pushed for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to issue a warrant for the arrest of Price, after being met with an unexpected amount of opposition from within both the Bureau and the Senate. Both parties were forced to buckle however, after the United Nations stepped in demanding that Price be brought to justice, as acts of violence by those totting the banner of the Church of Templar have been breaking out in countries all across Europe, Asia and even closer to home.
And while we in America focus our attentions on the extremists in our own borders we've managed to loose track of the sheer scale these riots have taken. Canadian Government group, Alpha Flight has been forced into a self-imposed exile until things die down, and even British team Excalibur has decided they'd rather deal with the outcry for blood in AMERICA rather than in their home country, after their last assignment that called for them to remove a half-mile long banner that'd been hung from Big Ben that declared "Burn the Abominations."
However, despite the recent call for the arrest of the Reverend for charges of Attempted Genocide, the big wigs of Washington and the world over find that their true opponant is decension in the ranks. This was made abundantly clear in what is now being refered to as the Officer's Rebellion, the incident that occured last weekend when Riot Police were sent in to restore order to the protestors outside the Xavier Institute in Salem Center, New York and instead turned upon the Institute itself, distributing weapons to the violent protestors.
Similar acts have been reported all throughout the country in everything from medical teams, to firefighters, to the National Guard. And while we of the homo-sapien species remain safe from the violence, we are far from being safe from the madness.
