//OOC// figured this'd be easier than trying to figure a time for everyone to be online all at once ;) We'll call this random X-Mansion school staff meeting. Among those asked to attend on top of school staff would be Lorna Dane and Betsy Braddock. This meeting (via the board) is meant to be an open forum for staff/X-men discussion on the UN's proposal as delivered by Shiro Yoshida as well as additional school ongoings.
//END OOC//

Thank you all for coming once again. First I'd like to begin by addressing the United Nation's proposal offered to the school in regards to the super-powered registration treaties for Registration. A document was delivered to me to review that detailed out a proposition by the UN. They wish for us to publicly support the Registration despite our country's somewhat firm stance on non-compliance. In return for this support they are offering to not only give additional funding to any school supported by myself but also allow attendance at such institutions to act as an alternative for time in the service of the UN's proposed Training Programs for beings with "Exceptional Abilities." I have my own thoughts on this matter, but I wished to hear out the thoughts of the rest of the faculty with regards to this issue.

On more friendly ground however, are matters of the student body. It has been brought to my attention that several students have aparently been either producing or sneaking in illegal substances onto school grounds. I do not feel I need to remind you all of our no-tolerance policies on the matter, and that we do offer a rather effective in-house clinic for treating students with substance addiction issues.
I feel an additional way to combat not only the use of recreational drugs but perhaps also hone in some of the rather rambunctious behaviour being exhibited as of late would be to initiate a new program of student teams. In the past this had been exhibited through the use of our training teams X-treme Red and Silver. However with the influx of students in the wake of going public as a school accepting mutants I feel it might be a good time to expand that program. I would like those of you willing to council the students both in their development as children as well as in the development of their abilities to volunteer for roles as Advisers. We will manage it as one Adviser per student "squad" and should enough of you be willing perhaps arrange a Co-Adviser position.
In this arrangement I believe we will have a more effective method of teaching the students a certain degree of comradry ((spell bad >_<)) as well as giving them an outlet for certain competitive needs by allowing the teams to compete both academically and extracurricularly.

I'm open to any thoughts, arguements, suggestions or statements of volunteering.

 First!

I'd like to volunteer as the Adviser for an X-treme squad, as it'd also give me a chance to continue training those who were on the X-treme team.

I'll second that motion, Liam. You've spent quite a lot of time with the X-Treme already, and there's no reason it shouldn't continue.

In response to the Registration, I think we all remember what happened the last time the Government tried to make us register. I'm not sure it's a wise thing for us to register. It would make us enemies of the state within our own country's walls. And after the recent attacks from the protestors, and the Mojo Incident, I'm not sure we're at full capacity to handle that great of a threat to the students, as well as ourselves. Especially considering that we already had to facilitate a counter-attack with the Mutant Registration Act..I trust you all can follow my logic from there.

*Scott clears his throat and adjusts his glasses before he speaks again*

As for the no tolerance advisory, I would like to stress it as a Headmaster that we ALL, myself included, need to step up and make sure that the illegal substances are cut to zero. Logan, I know that you have beer on the premises. If you would..when you feel the need to drink, if you'd take it out back or off the grounds. Out of sight, out of mind. I know what I'm asking is not easy..but I think it's best for the students. As for the other illegal substances, I believe I will be asking some of the staff with psychic gifts or enhanced senses to patrol a bit. Make sure that it is not happening anymore. I agree with Charles on the in-house clinic.

As for the student teams, I am all for it. I will advise and lead a student team, if need be. I've got zero qualms with it and I think it would be a excellent way to inspire and create ways of competition within the student body- and even the staff here.

*Shrugs* I keep it under lock and key, not my fault Laura can pick a lock.

For once I agree with slim. Registerin' this school would put is in a bad light, and I ain't up for going against the nation... again. I've played this game before, won't do it, and I suggest you don't either. Don't need to put ourselves in the line of fire with the government more so then we already are. Plus, not all the students are going to go along with it. Ya prepared to handle a schism here amongst our own? I ain't.

*Doesn't say anything about the teams.*

*Standing next to Logan, her arms crossed and pnik visor upon her head she nods along with Logan and Scott.* Scott's got a point, Professor. I'm not ready to have what happened last time, happen again and this time it may be worse. The students are already a bit shaken up from all this talk of registering. *She sighs, moving some hair from her face behind her ear.* As for the teams, i've got my handful with Gen-X, trying to get everyone back into the swing of things, that and getting Alex onto the team so the kid doesn't get into more trouble than he has been in. Along with the illegal substanences, I can keep my eyes and ears open. The students go in and out of the city, so its hard to tell who gets what from whom. I'll search the woods for any plants that shouldn't be there and any hiding spots students may have found to place things.

Ah'll say this: when I was a student here the idea there'd even be drugs on campus never even seemed feasable. I can't say I like the idea of the stain on this place if it is going on.

As for registration, I'd like to point out that there's a number of us, especialy X-force from when we were still the radical faction, that have a number of outstanding criminal records. And a lot of those records happen to be by the same countries that are pushing for the registration.
