Thread for Meta-Registration Treaty Update Index | New Thread | Reply | Close | Stick | Delete  Meta-Registration Treaty Update Remy 10:35pm, November 14, 2007 [Edit] [Delete] As some may or maynot know, the United Nations with military backing by (but not limited to) UK, Japan and Red Nation (formerly Mexico) have created a treaty that would require all countries to present a register of all super-powered beings and entites in their borders, including but not limited to aliens, mutants, super solders etc. Now, I cannot post for the stance of every nation as a number of them are player run, so those with countries under your control feel free to reply and give said nation's stance. but here is the current breakdown of events: -President Knight has stated clearly to the UN that the US will NEVER bow to registration. At present US Congress is in agreement with Knight, however several political factions and parties have begun to speak out in agreement with UN policy. -Under the wording of the UN's treaty, New Atlantis would also fall under this proclamation, thus far Namor and all Atlantians not only oppose such a Treaty but have also launched several attacks upon UN supportive countries such as UK and Portugal. -The Red Nation (formerly Mexico) has set up a border defense on the US border, and all military presence they have there indicates an imminant invasion, as declared by the leader of the Red Nation, Red Skull's "assistant" Ultron, this is a direct response to their failure to comply with UN regulations. -The Japanese and UK have also begun a seabound blockade on the US as a result of this failure to comply, several countries are boycotting US goods in protest of their refusal. -The US has of yet launched no aggressive actions against anyone, largely in part due to the current mixed feelings in Congress as a response to the worldwide reaction they have received for opposing and a desire to reach a peaceful solution.
