Some people, mostly drunk beggars, are reporting that they were "attacked" by some of the local plant life. Also, every once in a while, the park "quakes". The shaking does not last, and is not strong at all - only people & businesses in the vicinity of the area feel the shaking. The plants are the attackers, attacking anyone who happens to delve in deep enough into the park. The victims list is no longer limited to drunk beggars, but also credible citizens and even some city engineers that would have been investigating the "minor quakes centralized in the park." The attacks mostly consist of "vines or roots springing up and grabbing people, then tossing them away." Occasionally there's also a fallen heavy tree branch tossed in there. Any psychics that might try probing the area would note that there's some sort of "sleeping consciousness" deep in (and under) the park, and that it is the "unintentional" source of all this trouble. However, unless they were particularly powerful, they wouldn't be able to get into this person's mind; it would be like a (sleeping) steel trap - nigh impenetratable. They would be able to tell that all of the trouble is just unconscious and instinctual reactions to protect itself. It's actually more like two separate consciousnesses that are currently molded together and inseparable. Also, some time in the middle of the night, all of the trees in the park spontaniously started growing buds.. Yes, against normal growing patterns and season, and yes the weather should make this impossible to happen naturally, but something is making them grow. The very same something.  update and finale' Rose Davenport 7:51pm, February 08, 2007 [Edit] [Delete] Since Rose's removal from the park by "Wiccan", the park has returned to mostly normal. There's a strange, dead plant in the center of the park, next to a large and deep hole. The park no longer acts "possessed" and the buds that had started forming have already died in the cold. The park will still grow normally come spring, and city workers can now work directly in the park to repair all the electronics damaged by the EMP burst.
