General Chat Rules
- Respect everyone in this chat.
This shouldn’t even NEED to be said. However, it is clear that some people don’t understand the importance of this rule. EVERYONE is to be treated with respect in this chat, not just admins. Any insults, derogatory terms, or attacks on another chatter is a banable offense. If an admin or a mod gives you a warning first, I would take it, as they are being extremely nice by not banning you outright.
- Keep swearing to a minimum before 10pm EST.
IC and OOC, we don’t mind the use of curse words, however, because of the time, we’d like to keep excessive swearing down until 10pm, as at that point any young impressionable eyes won’t be watching. Certain words are simply NOT allowed, and said words are under the filter.
- Keep all IRL problems/other chat issues/personal grudges OUT of the chat.
IRL- I understand that sometimes life can get you down and all you ask is for a little sympathy. Granted, as friends, we are here to give it, however, we would appreciate any depressing/angry rants remain outside of the chat and on AIM where it belongs. Rants often bring down the energy of the room and kill it for the night. We hope that this chat is a way to ESCAPE said energy, and it would be much appreciated.
Other Chat Issues- Yes, we are a part of a giant chat portal dealing with many other chats and sometimes other chats can rub you the wrong way. HOWEVER, due to issues in the past, we would LOVE it if you keep any rants, raves, or anything else dealing with other chats(including, but not limited to the other Marvel chats) out of this chat.
Personal Grudges- I don’t care if another chatter took your puppy and threw it over a cliff, ANY grudges you might have over another user stays OUT of this chat. Period.
- No arguments.
Debates are a wonderful way to get to know other people’s opinions on things, and we encourage having discussions about issues happening in the outside world. However, the moment a debate turns into an argument and seems to not be going anywhere, you will be asked to stop.
- No Password/Handle Stealing.
THIS IS A NO WARNING PERM BAN! If you have ways to obtain other’s passwords, good for you. However, if you are to utilize this talent, hack into another’s handle(ANY HANDLE, Not JUST admin), YOU WILL BE PERM BANNED FROM THIS CHAT. If you change your IP, we will ban THAT handle as well and report you to Tino. This is a serious issue. This is something you just do NOT do. And so, punishment is severe.
- HAVE FUN!
We are all here mainly to have fun and escape reality. We are here to involve ourselves in a world we all have come to know and love over our lives, and so, please, come in here with an open mind, a good disposition, and a love for X-Men and RPing!

Rules for Role Playing
- No God Moding.
Despite this chat taking place in a world where the impossible can happen...does not mean that it WILL happen. If in an instance where you are ruled as god moding, the Admins and Mods have final say on the outcome of a dispute. Do NOT get angry if a fight does not go your way due to an admin ruling. We will try our best to rule fairly in a manner that will be equally beneficial to both parties.
- No Killing a Character without Players Permission.
I know how incredibly tempting it is to just out a character you don’t like...but as it’s been an unwritten rule since the beginnings of Wildman’s chats, you cannot even harm a character, much less kill them, without the acceptance of the character’s player. We take out all the fun, don’t we?
- Discern Between OOC and IC
This is more of a courtesy thing then an actual rule. Because some people have strange ways of Role Playing(I mean any other way outside of the “Actions in Asterixs” method), if you are not under an OOC handle(it’s easy to tell which handles are OOC and which ones are not), please use parenthesis to speak in OOC.
- Don’t Interfere in Planned RPs.
If people are RPing in chat and you want to join in, just make sure that RPs that you want to jump in on are not private pre-planned RPs. Some people might let you join in, but don’t get upset if they don’t. Also, don’t interfere in a pre-planned RP, even if you have a small part of said RP. If something happens to a character that isn’t yours, and you don’t agree with it, keep in mind that what was done to said character was something the player agreed with and planned.

Registration.
Cannon Characters
If there is a cannon character that you wish to play, please check the complete Userlist here: http://pjj.cc/x/register/biglist.php
If the cannon character is not listed on this list, then you are free to send in a registration form.
There is a note I must give, though. The cannon characters played here are their forms as seen in X-Men and Uncanny X-Men prior to 1997. Characters in their Ultimate X-Men Forms, Movie Forms, or having any powers they didn’t have prior to 1997 are prohibited. You must know about the characters when they were old school. If the character has developed a power after 1997 and you wish for that, you must ask us if you can eventually incorporate that into the character(we’ll usually say yes, anyway, and that gives you a plotline to achieve right off!).
Cannon characters have a TRIAL time. Once we register the character for you(depending on the knowledge you typed in the registration form), you have two weeks to try the character out. If by that time we do not believe your depiction of the character is accurate, we have the right to take the character away. If you convince us, the character is yours until you wish to pass on the mantle.
DISCLAIMER!: We admins have the right to take away a cannon character at ANY TIME.
Already Registered Cannon Characters
In the event that you wish to play a cannon character, and said character is taken, you must contact the player of said character. A cannon character that the player has surpassed the trial period belongs to THAT player, NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN IDLE AS THAT CHARACTER(people have lives, and sometimes a good 6 months can pass before they can get back into the swing of things), and so you must ask them if they wish to pass the mantle. If yes, then BOTH of you must contact me through E-Mail(jayamichan@yahoo.com), so that I know it isn’t a scam, and that I can reset the password. DO NOT GO AROUND ME TO ANOTHER ADMIN IF DEALING WITH AN ALREADY PLAYED CHARACTER. YOU WILL MORE THEN LIKELY LOOSE THE CHARACTER.
If the player of the character says no...then you are out of luck.
In the event where you do not know who plays the character, E-Mail me (Again; Jayamichan@yahoo.com) and I will give you the contact information of the player of the character. From there, you must continue with what I said above. I WILL NOT GET A CHARACTER FOR YOU.
In the event where I, or any admin I ask, don’t know who plays the character, I’m afraid I cannot give the character away unless there is an UNKNOWN next to their name. I understand some of you might not agree with this, but you have to understand that I cannot keep track of who plays what character, when they have last been seen, and if they will or will not come back. If a character goes UNKNOWN, there’s more of a chance that the player of said character is not going to be coming back, thus giving you a better chance of getting the character.
Do NOT complain about this rule, as managing the X-Mansion is NOT my life and not all that I do with myself. This is the easiest way for me to manage current users, and if you don’t like it, I’m afraid I have to tell you TOO BAD.
DO NOT EVER ASK IF DEADPOOL IS TAKEN! EVER! Deadpool is taken, and will forever be the players character, regardless of anything. To mention the name in chat simply prolongs his much anticipated return.
Original Characters
Original characters are allowed, as long as you do NOT make them Uber-powerful. We’ve had power caps in the past. Most of those have been lifted with the exception of;
Psychics(telekinesis/telepathy)
Temporals(time shifters)
Pyrokinetics are NOT under caps anymore, HOWEVER, due to the fact that this is a very popular power, PLEASE think through other powers before deciding on a Pyro.
Also, BE CREATIVE! This is a chance to make a character of yours part of the Marvel universe! Have fun with it!

Lost Passwords/Deletion of Characters
If you ever accidentally lose your password, feel free to E-Mail me (once again, Jayamichan@yahoo.com), and I will reset your password.
If you ever want a character deleted, it’s the same as above...simply E-Mail me, and I will delete your character.
However, you MUST let me know in some manner that it is you(though I’m pretty sure I know who plays who.)

”Spring Cleaning”
Usually this actually happens in the middle of the summer(around July). Any characters with an UNKNOWN beside it’s name will be DELETED. So! If you do NOT want a character that you wish to play in the future to be deleted, be sure to log in as said character often(no, you don’t have to RP with them). I will notify you all on the board when this will be taking place.
If after a Spring Cleaning, you find that your character has been deleted, you have ONE WEEK to let me know so I can reinstate your character. After this one week, you must re-submit a registration form.

Hopefully this will help people understand why we admin the way we admin, and what they should understand, written down or not. This is here because in the past, we admins have been ridiculed and our rulings challenged. Now that I have these rules witten down, I dare anyone to say we’ve ever been in the wrong in any rulings we have made.
I hope this makes things clear, and makes RPing in this chat more pleasant and enjoyable for all of us.
