Sometimes, your characters need some alone time. Something they do by themselves, be it thinking or training or what have you. These little moments weren't ever intended to kick off another interaction with a different player, but were simply to give the others some insight into your own PC and help characterization along. That's what this thread is for, and feel free to use it as such

“Hourai, will hurry up with the tea?”

Alice sat in the library, book in hand and reclining slightly in her chair, still not in the best of moods. Apparently Hourai was not either. The doll made this abundantly clear when Alice felt the cup of tea crack against her forehead and the hot tea splatter all over her and the book she was trying to read

To say she was surprised by this course of action would be the largest understatement of this tournament so far.

She stared up in wide eyed, blank confusion at Hourai, who floated there with arms crossed, glowering at her master. “… Did you actually just… Come here” The doll shook her head. “…. Hourai, come here now” Still it stayed. “…Hourai! Now!” she got a continued glare in response. “…Shanghai, would you kindly drag Hourai’s ungrateful self over here.” Alice fumed. She waited…. And frowned as Shanghai did nothing of the sort, instead hiding herself behind Hourai in apparent fear of Alice’s retribution, but nonetheless not at all listening. “…What has gotten into you two?!” Hourai gave her a mild flat look in response. “…What, yesterday? I was completely justified in my action. If he would have been mortally wounded, the organizer would of stopped me.” Continued flat look. “Yes it was a bit drastic I suppose, but I am sure someone has explained this to him before. On this island in fact. Obviously he needed a sterner lesson.” The dolls didn't budge. “Oh you wretched little- Fine. We’ll convene the court then. Happy?” She snarled. Shanghai breathed a sigh of relief, Hourai only offering a brief nod and a continued glare The trio floated off towards Alice’s apartment, disappearing behind the door.

Alice sat in the middle of an empty room, requested for this specific purpose. The floor had seven circles on the ground, each a different color. Alice floated into the middle of the room, shot Hourai a glare, and sat down. She took a deep breath, reaching into her magic reserves and her mind at the same time. A glow became to form over each of the circles. A each slowly took shape, and soon a doll matching the color of its circle was floating in the seven places. Blue, Orange, Indigo, Violet, Green, Red, and Yellow. Alice’s eyes drooped slightly, and all three dolls suddenly snapped to life. The blue one cleared her throat and began speaking in Alice’s voice, though it carried much more confidence and authority than the puppeteer ever spoke with. “Hello everyone. This convergence of the Shanghai court may now be-“

“WE’RE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!” Wailed the orange and yellow ones in unison (Also in Alice’s voice, though with nowhere near the same confidence) , the orange slumping to the ground instead of floating and the yellow beginning to sob.

“I thought we agreed last time we hadn't decided yet if we qualified as ‘people’ per say. We are youkai instead of human now.” Commented Indigo in monotone as she adjusted her little spectacles

“Not all that relevant indigo” Blue chastened mildly. “I assume you all know why we’re here?”

There was some awkward mid air shuffling by most of them, before Green rolled her eyes with a snort

“We’re here because we decided not to put up with a little snot’s sexual harassment and made sure he’d never do it to anyone else. “

“Which was a terrible idea!” whimpered yellow, literally quivering in the air. “What if he complains to Batman? What if batman sends that terrifying robot monstrosity after us?! I DON’T WANT TO BE YOUKAI PASTE!”

“Bah, the safeties would kick in before that became an issue” Green scoffed.

“Actually as we just learned, the organizer does not always interrupt violence. It is quite possible that Hank Henshaw could beat us within an inch of our life. Or even a millimeter given robotic penchant for precision” countered Indigo in monotone once more.

“Which we would completely deserve” groaned orange, lying on her back on the ground as she stared blankly at the ceiling. “How pathetic is it that we let a small child anger us to the point we took such drastic action as an impromptu castration?”

“He deserved it!” sniffed Violet, nose in the air “We are his better in every way from ability to intelligence to morality. For him to pay us such an affront and go unpunished would be absurd.”

Red sighed. “ I am just disappointed that our first tou-“
“Stop right there” deadpanned Blue. “We would likely not be in this mess had you not had such a violent and conflicted reaction to this whole mess.”

Red put a hand to her chest with a gasp. “Why I never. Its not as if he was attractive, he like five years old on top of looking like a hairless baboon. It is not my fault you all never let me-“

“Stop”

“I am just sayi-“

“Do not continue that sentence”

“I swear it was just a surprise rea-“

“No. We are ignoring your opinion for the rest of this conversation. In fact I put forward a motion that Red may not speak again this court. Agreed?”

Five yeses rang out almost in unison. Red blinked, fumed a moment, but simply crossed her arms and pouted rather than go against the court. Blue sighed and looked over them all. “I must say, I have to agree with Orange for once. While the action of our response was quite well implemented , that we felt the need to act so is rather… disappointing. Violet, you say that he deserved it because he’s lesser. But if that is the case, did we really need to lose our control so easily from his simple actions?”

“I… perhaps not” Violet muttered, shifting uncomfortably “One such as us /should/ try to present a better example to to others.”

“Anyone who uses us as an example has no chance at succeeding at life” muttered Orange from the ground.

“A-and we still might get pasted with in an inch of our life by the robot” mewled Yellow.

“Bah. You’re all wimps. “ growled green, crossing her arms with a snarl “Kid deserved it, and we actually got to do something violent for the first
time in months. Do you understand how /boring/ it is for me without Marisa to duel against?”

“I am unsurprised that surrounded by the wonders of the multiverse, your only concern is the lack of things to point lasers at” mused Indigo

“Can it jackass, you’re just happy you have a library to work with. All I get is the occasional /chess/ game, and I have to share those with you” Green sneered.

“Ooh, sharing, how terrible” Indigo countered, a somewhat mocking inflection to her otherwise continued monotone.

“Ahem.” Interrupted an unamused Blue. “As always listening to you two banter is… well amusing isn’t quite the right word, but whatever it is, it is getting us nowhere. All give their final word, and then we shall vote. Violet?”

The doll looked to both sides before sighing. “I suppose that even though the little cur may have had no right to treat us like his little sex education toy, we should not let those so far below us anger us so.”

Blue nodded “Green?”

“You’re all idiots. Brat got what he deserved, and we looked cool doing it.

“Yellow?”

“WE SHOULD APOLOGIZE AND BEG BATMAN NOT TO SICK HENSHAW ON US ;-;”

“…Right. Orange?”

“We should apologize. Maybe tell everyone how terrible we are and ask them to just beat the shit out of us in unison before they kick us off the island. We deserve it.”

“… O…k. Indigo?”

She adjusted her glasses. “While this is more of a morale quandary and thus out of the purview of my expertise, simple logic dictates that we would wish only our enemies to fear us, and for our allies to trust us. This does not appear conducive to trust”

“Right. As for myself, this was much too far from perfection than I would like. A perfect youkai is polite and understanding of other’s shortcomings, and strong in will. And certainly does not make little children cry after subjecting them to one of the worst pains imaginable. So with everyone's last wo-“ Red coughed expectantly “… With everyone whose /relevant/ last word given. All those who say we were in the wrong and should make amends?”

Blue, Indigo, Yellow, orange, violet, and red (though with much glaring) all raised their hands. Green sighed, before grudgingly raising her hand as well.

“Then we are in unison. This session of the Shanghai court is over, back to your places everyone!”
And a brief shudder later, all the dolls fell to the ground lifeless, Alice’s eyes snapping open. She sighed as she rubbed her eyes. Hourai and Shanghai, having been waiting outside, both floated over and gave her a small hug on the arm. She sniffed slightly and gave them a small smile “I apologize you two. Heavens know I should listen to you if you tell me I’m wrong.” She rubbed her eyes one last time and made to leave.

Far across the island , in a remote part of the island sat a young fifteen year old alien boy by the name of Goku, who for lack of a better word was just scared. He always respected Alice. She protected him from that strange lady who wanted to take a bath with him and grab his tail. He kind of understood why Cirno got mad, but he honestly thought she acted more like a boy! So, when Alice cut his thing off, it really hurt his feelings and more importantly made him hide under his blanket in his room all night. But then he remembered back home..

"And that's why we want you to save our village-ah!" The young village girl cried as Goku patted her private spot with his hand.

"Oh you are a girl! " Goku yelled, but then SUDDENLY-punch to the head by Bulma.

"OW! What was that for!?"
"YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHY MISTER!"

And then later with the village chief..

*Pat Pat*

"Oh you are a girl!"

"What a randy boy!"

*Punch*

"PLEASE STOP DOING THAT, GOKU!"

Then with Ooolong..

"AH! What are you doing, you weirdo!?"

"Sorry! But are you a boy?"

"..."

"OF COURSE I'M A BOY YOU TWIT!I'LL TAKE A BLOOD TEST, ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS! OF COURSE I'M ONE!"

"Uhh..."

THEN with Nam..

"Gosh, that was a mean bird!"

"Yes, with sharp claws-*pat pat*-AH! Stop it what are you doing!?"

"Sorry!I just wanted to see if you were a boy. It's hard to tell sometimes. You can touch me if you want."

"....No."

And there was that one time where he took off his clothes in the middl of the street and Yamcha yelled at him. But that wasn't the point. He figured something was wrong and that was why Alice cut his thingy off so he'd apologize..

The little alien narrowed his eyes and hopping down from his tree, decided he would apologize to Alice.

"Take care then."

With a final wave, she saw Merisel off as both of them departed from the Beating Grounds. The two traded blows many times over the weeks, both with swords and fists, but she knew when someone was needed elsewhere.

It's odd how staying in the room heals (and she needed it more than she lost her spar) but at they at least didn't need a clinic to heal in this place. It didn't take long before she sat back up, ready for some adventure. Or at least she thought she did if she could think of something to do.

"Sheesh, now I know how Holmes feels."

Well... there's always Althados. Often times, when she touched her sword, she gains memories of previous wielders. So far, she's counted five different individuals. Not that she liked most of the experiences. Then again... it's at least better than nothing.

"Am I really that desperate?"

Apparently she was, as she shrugged and reached over to take her sword. And for a surprise, this memory was upon herself...

"You're too slow!"

"And you're too confident"

She thought she tagged her best friend Rebecca. But it turned out to be just another blur. A shove from behind revealed her best friend's position, to which she immediately rolled out of the way. She's always been a cocky one. even picking a steel cage for this stimulation.

"For a someone betting on buying lunch, you're not even close."

"All I have to do is tag you and I win. I banking on a screw up pretty soon. You're only as fast as the speed of sound."

"Keep saying that to yourself. It won't get you any... whoa!"

Talking always messed up speedsters, which was why she took the opportunity for a strike. Still too slow as Rebecca performed a hop over her low arching swing, even jumping on her back before somersaulting onto the ground... where she found her back tagged. Brittney managed to turn around and pointed her sword at her opponent's back while the other girl recovered from her jump.

"Ah, shucks I thought it was a good idea..."

"Good thing you tested your theory in here. End program."

And with that, the room dematerialized into a hollow metal room. Brittney grabbed a towel while Rebecca quickly grabbed a pill from her purse to swallow.

"Thank god for sugar pills. I have no idea how I could have handled diabetes with my metabolism."

"Didn't stop you from joining the Pegasus Initiative."

"Which wouldn't have happened after my sister helped convince my parents to get me in." The two made their way out of the school since classes were already over to make their way to a Subway store. "Seriously, you may not like being divorced, but I'd take a single dad over parents who dote me around to no end."

"My older sister took that spot and you know it." She jabbed Rebecca on the shoulder before they entered the store. With the right customers, their sandwiches were created within seconds. It wasn't long before the two of them sat down across from each other. Rebecca did her best to slow down her eating habits, which for her case meant she will finish in half the time.

"You got any plans to do with yourself?"

"Well, winning the district's theatre award for the club got me interested in acting... but there's no way I want that kind of drama." Another bite from her sandwich. "I'm just gonna wait out and see what the future holds out on me. I've gotten good enough grades for college after all and I have no plans to join the military."

"With that sort of thinking, you may end up in another country," she laughed. "In that case, you better get ready for a ton of surprises."

"At this point, high school threw me enough curveballs to expect anything to happen..."

Now that she thought about it... she's sure as hell ate a ton of crow ever since she got here. But... she's had enough of a trip down memory lane for one day and she let go of her sword. Only to find out her room go dark.

"Oh crap! I slept threw the day again?"

Maybe she can at least salvage the night, and one change of her clothes and she was off to the kitchen for some food...
