Zion has no knowledge of them. No ships of theirs have been seen, not even shadows of where they have been. No traces do they leave of themselves, not even when they venture into the Matrix. They are careful to avoid the Zions in the System when spotted. They tread carefully, and so far, their caution has paid off in having few run ins with the Agents or spies of the System itself. They have seen the rise and fall of Zion, and the great cities ressurection from the ashes.
They are survivors of the Zions, rescued from crashed or destroyed ships, runaways, and of course those unplugged from the Matrix itself not to mention descendents. Nomadic in nature, scavangers of the past and present. Their knowledge of the One Prophecy has been lost in the passage of time and memories of those that had come before, leaving it all but erased from the Nazirite history books. To them, the Oracle is their savior and guide, despite her being unseen by Nazirite eyes in over 100 years.
They salvage and scavenge what they can, picking up artifacts going as far back as the first War between Humanity and 01. The Nazirites are adept at technological repair, however they have extremely limited production capabilities, thus making most, if not all of their technology mere scraps from Zion or the Machines. Indeed, all of the Nazirite ships are located and jury-rigged vessels once a part of Zion, abandoned after attacks from the Machines rendered them inoperable in Zion's eyes.
The largest of the Nazirite ships has a crew of up to eight members. Each group have strong bonds with each other. Thier ship is their home, the crew their family. Rarely do they congregate with other Nazirite ships for any length of time but to pass information along or to socialize for a small time. They have extensive knowledge of the tunnels, especially the more smaller ones. They are able to move about on the surface without drawing attention to themselves from the Machines. They have one thing the Zionists don't; Fresh meat. Small animals that have either survived or arisen out of the ashes of Earth's war-scarred surface that the Nazirites have learned to hunt, but not to wipe out. |
