 An idea?

Once we're finished with all the current storylines, a few ideas were presented on how to proceed from here.

My idea is as follows:
We return to the beginning of the 24th Matrix, which would put the time period in the 1950's. The Rebels would be extremely small in number, and System/Agent's wouldn't be a known threat to them yet, i.e.: occasionally, a Rebel goes in, and is never heard from again.

What do you guys think?
Also, I want you guys to post possible ideas here.

Hrmm, unique setting for a pjj chat. Though making people stay in period might geta bit buggy. The only questions I have are: Is the Rebel technology in the real world the same and how are people who are plugged in going to find out about the Matrix? correct me if I'm wrong, but computers weren't around then, at least not in any fashion that a person could own.

It would certainly makes things more challenging, plus the fact that there weren't computers around meant that the Rebels couldn't be so selective about who they unplug. That would leave allot more room for people to bring in different characters instead of essentially having to fit the format of programmer or hacker, etc. I think it should be put in the 70's though. I would love to see Muller with a fro, and Stone with a gold plated DE that has "Bad Ass Motha Fucker" on the side

Or......how about we set the chat 50 years later ....the rebels have one somewhat. But a spark ignites (Metaphorically *SMACKS DAVE*) and all hell breaks loose between the remaining machines and humans and a war on the surface and the matrix breaks out. But just a thought. Im really digging the 1950s idea. BIG TIME

One thing I feel I have to say, upon seeing what I have seen upon entering the chat today. I think this current story needs to be ended faster than it is currently being allowed to do. For example, I remember back when the shamblers could be killed pretty much anyway, or so it seemed. Now I come in and I see that you must cut off the heads, and that is the ONLY way to kill them. Isn't this getting ridculous? I mean seriously. It's hard enough for a foe who's head must be shot, and this is just stupid. If you can't simply shoot them, that means smashing or caving in said skull won't work either. Thusly the only weak point is no the head, but the neck. Even if this isn't strictly true, I think that the folks in charge have fallen too in love with the current story, and they are, perhaps unintentonally, keeping it going, making it WORK instead of fun. Thats why I haven't spent much time around, is becuase invincible enimies are just not fun. Why bother fighting Stone when you know that no matter how well or smart you fight, your going to lose? When fighting normal agents, a bit of cunning and the right tactics could save you ass. It becomes a "you automatically lose" situation.

To sum up; instead of making things more and more difficult with mooks, try leaving them weak, so fighting them doesn't become work, as people generally want to have fun, not work, when they rp. Focus on making it fun, not work, keeping the mooks weak, and the main foes the real challenge. I don't mean to crtisize hugely, only a bit. Maybe the whole point has been lost over time

On the note of the Shamblers, it wasn't meant that all of the Shamblers could only be taken down by decapitation, just some that had recieved upgrades. I thought it would make things more interesting, and maybe get people in fighting a little more if they had something to actually fight against. That part of the story can easily be written out though if anyone else has a problem with it.
