[Delete] | Rules WILL be enforced, if you can't handle it, too bad. REMEMBER: Its just a game, its not real, its supposed to be FUN.
FIRST OFF....this room used to be known as Star Wars The Twirling Twi'lek. Alot of rules can pertain to SW, mutant or any uber powerful characters.
1.No god-moding: If your character can't do it, then you can't make your character do it.
2.No OOC arguing: This room is for fun and RP. If you have a problem with someone, take it to AIM or use the message system. Do Not continue the argument further in the room or bring it up at any other time at a later date. That will get my attention and you don't want that either. It will also get you kicked out of the room for a "time out" if you continue to argue as well.
3. No Use of OOC knowledge IC: If your character doesn't know it (even though you do or its in their profile as OOC info), he/she better not use it IC. If that happens, that RP will be nulled or modified if someone complains.
4.No Admin Abuse: My word as Admin is final on all settling of arguments. Period. Do not argue with me or any of the other Admins in the chat, discuss it with us on our IM's. If you insist on dragging the argument on in the chat, we will kick you out for an undisclosed period of time. And you can calmly talk to us once again over our IM's about our mutual problem before you are let back into the room. Abuse over IM will not be tolerated either.
5. No Player Abuse: Admins must know that the room is about the players and having fun. No Admin will abuse her/his power over players IN the room. They will not scold them OOC, threaten, or any other such type of insult or abuse in the chat. If there is a problem, Admins should be allowed to contact you over IM to discuss said problems. Or I will step in and neither one of you will want that.
6. DO NOT come into my room to just insult people you dislike or just in general!! You will be given only one warning and then you will be banned for an undisclosed amount of time. I will not tolerate this from anyone!!!!!
7. Admins engaged in RP's where an Admin decision is required can NOT be the one to administer that decision, it must be done by another Admin and that includes myself.
8. OOC Banter: On occassion there is some that happens but for the most part; If rp is going on...No disrupting the rp with constant OOC posting. If someone complains have some respect and stop.
9. For those who have/want Jedi characters: You MUST have a detailed history to prove that they are such. As Jedi characters will be heavily watched dogged by the Admins. If the room already has several Jedi already in it, be kind and wait til one leaves, cause honestly, no one likes to see a Jedi convention in the room unless there's a meeting of sorts ;-) .If its an already established character and known by many, you need to check with me first for approval. Your force abilites are the basic Jedi abilities, anything special MUST be posted in a profile after its been approved by an Admin.
WARNING: There are only a VERY select few Jedi characters that are quite strong in the Force and these are well known & well established characters for the most part.
10. Using the Force: This is a tricky one and will be very much watched over by the Admins. If your character is force sensitive, it MUST be posted in a profile along with their abilites and these will be limited. Each characters abilites in the Force will Vary of course and all force sensitive future characters Must be cleared through an Admin or myself.
Special Note: You can not have any force abilites that are listed in Galaxies or any of the SW games, sorry but that is my final word on the matter.
11. The Ap'Taji: This is MY Faction with a very complex history to it (which a portion of them is on the message board). If you want to join up with them, you MUST come to me directly and we can discuss your future with them ;->
12. IC Fights: These will be heavily watched by the Admins, and those Admin who IC fight with another Admin will be watched by ME! If an Admin is involved in an IC fight, another Admin must govern if there is a dispute. Killing of characters is a MAJOR No No as is mutilitaing or posting damage on another's character! Unless it was prearranged between the players and you need to let an Admin know this. However, if a character is pinned down with no means to escape, the player of pinned down character must understand that they have been checkmated, and a happy solution to this must be agreed upon by both sides But the player of pinned down character MUST comply with the fact that they have been checkmated. An Admin must be notified of the event via IM or email. NO and I repeat NO acts of senseless violence will be tolerated. Such things WILL attract the attention of local authorities, or worse. (Senseless violence: Shooting someone when they have not done anything to your char in this chat; This is only an example and not the true definition..if a question arises on whether it is senseless or not, consult an Admin)
13. Child Characters: Severely limited. Must be approved by me. You can discuss your character with an Admin and they can then bring it to my attention for discussion before approved. Just so you know, these characters can not be your primary character, sorry. And NO child character under the age of fifteen can have a lightsaber or romantic interests, cause come on now, kids think the opposite sex is icky anyway.
14. As for clones, there are three that will be revealed eventually in the storyline further down the road. And two of these are currently NPC characters at the moment. No Other Clones will be allowed. Ever
15. All new technologies/special equipment must be explained in your profile and approved by either Liam or Sabine. No uber technology will be permitted. Admins reserve the right to alter/change anything about these technologies as we see fit if we feel the technology is getting out of hand. Besides all technology has a weakness in some form or another. Do not expect instant approval as the Admins must confer with one another before approval.
16. If for some Bizzarre reason your charcter is killed, No bitching if you do die. This gives you a chance to make an even more glorious character who rocks.
17. There will be NO OOC discussion of politics, religious beliefs or of military service in the room. Out of respect to others take it to PM's or AIM!
18.Registered players may not be ignored (unless this was approved by an Admin for peace keeping purposes). Otherwise registered players powers are approved by the Admins and all IC posts must be acknowledged by both registered and unregistered characters.
19.Ok this is to make it Official...as the original posting about profiles seemed to have been deleted by its author for some reason...I'll make one myself here:
Character Profiles:
Yes Every registered character must have a profile. No matter how lame or extravagant you choose to get with it. Just slap one up. You can always go back when the mood suits you and make it purdy. Just list the basics is all I want, name, weapons, ships, equipment, abilites. Character history can come later when the mood suits you.
All that I ask is that once your character has been registered, you have 1 month to get a profile up before any of the Admins will start to "remind" you about it.
20. If you are being beaten in a fight, you cannot, under ANY circumstances bring in another character of yours to save that character. IE: if you are playing Jim-Bob the Retard who happens to piss off a wookiee, you cannot bring in Uberforcius Maximus your stronger-than-ObiWan-Yoda-Darth Vader-Luke Skywalker-combined character to save Jim-Bob. Jim-Bob is wookiee fodder. This also includes any NPC characters you play in a faction.
21. The Admins are not George W. Bush. There is no such thing as the "No RPer left behind" policy. If you happen to feel left out of an RP, find/make another one or find a better way to get involved. Do not complain to the Admins. We dont want to hear it. We are not here to hold your hand or help you figure out how to get involved either.
22. The Admins are people too. Do NOT harrass us because we tend to play with some more than others. We have the right to play with WHO WE CHOOSE WHEN WE CHOOSE TO DO SO. Again.. it is not the job of the Administration staff to hold your hand and think of ways for YOU to get involved.
23. ACT YOUR AGE. Just because someone called you a "doody-head" or said something really insulting does not mean you get to flood the chat with insipid, moronic OOC crap. Take that to AIM if you MUST do it.
24. If you don't like my rules, too bad. I'm not forcing you to stay in my room. If you are only in my room to cause trouble with people you don't like, Get Out. I don't want you in my room then. If you continually disrespect me or other players, I'll ban you myself and that will be the end of the story for you.
And I'm sure there will be more as things come up.
