My name is Major Wilson Courageux, and I will be briefing you on the Facility Reord operation. I have been assigned the mission of retaking the Reord Facility. You, in volunteering for this mission, have been assigned to me. I have been the the service many years and, as such, have been in and seen many conflicts. Too many. Know, though, that I am a capable leader, as I know that all of you are capable commandos. Take out a datapad and prepare to copy. Please hold all questions until the end.
Situation:
Facility Reord was the main manufacturing arm of a small arms company known as Dead-Eye Galactic. They were in the business of producing very illegal, but very effective, armaments, such as long ranged energy mortars and disruptor grenades. I'm quite sure than none of you have had the misfortune of coming against these weapons. I hope that you don't come against them tonight. A group of Eclipse soldiers swarmed the Dead-Eye facilities three days ago, on D plus one. Specifically, they overtook Facility Reord and, after turning Reord's experimental weapons on the rest of the compound, quickly fortified their position. We do not anticipate a Ne'Kressis presence; all the same, be prepared for anything. We cannot be sure how Facility Reord has armed and defended. This will be a standard assault; move in, assault the building, and kill or capture all inside. The weather, unfortunately, will not on our side. Blizzard-like conditions have been predicted for this evening. Dress warmly.
The assault force will be comprised of Jedi and Republic commandos. I will allow your squad leaders to break these up into teams as they see fit. The mission is simple: retake Facility Reord with minimal casualties.
Air support will be available as needed. Two hundred troops will be kept in reserve for support, as needed. A contant line of communication will be kept with Headquarters for communication. Status reports are expected every ten minutes. |
