What follows is a history of the SoD setting. Book events up to the NJO have taken place. SoD replaces said NJO events, so the Vong are NOT in this setting. Additionally, the Junior Jedi Knight Series and the Young Jedi Knights series have also not happened.

This will be formatted at some point.

7200 years before ANH
-The Gree Enclave receives a visitor through a recently discovered ancient gateway, a humanoid energy being known as Sa'an. The energy being is from a race known as the Ekishzai within the Ferai galaxy and is in exile from a 'terrible darkness' that is enveloping their galaxy where the Ekishzai can "nolonger light the way". In return for sanctuary, Sa'an offers his knowledge of Ekishzai technology in the hope that one day it will serve to thwat the 'terrible darkness' within his own galaxy.

6500 years before ANH

6000 years before ANH
- The Shekdai War ends with the defeat of the Shek'dai forces. The Shek'dai are punished, whilst the Be'teris and U'aiou are reintegrated into the Ruling Council. Kizan is hunted down and captured and his soul is put into eternal torture and captivity. The vessel is sent off into the far reaches of space never to return.
- The Gree make excellent technological progress due to Sa'an, especially in the field of dimensional engineering which would baffle the Imperial scientists to come. Hypergates are established within the Gree Enclave, which serve as rudimentary gateways based upon the Gateway linking to the Ferai Galaxy. Whilst the original Gateway uses an unknown power source and is based in a different theory, the Hypergates make a use of Hyperspace itself.

5000 years before ANH

17 years after ANH
-Ne'kressis arrive through the northern rim of the known galaxy and enter what is known as the Unknown Regions.

Unable to use its vast manuervability and with a bombardment of missiles and torpedoe's the Ne'kressis ship is destroyed. Malus and Deianeira respond with a biological weapon that whilst totally ineffective against the Ne'kressis is able to strike down Zaisius. The G'keti choose to study the weapon and thus mistakingly forget about Zaisius and his lack of immunity. Zaisius dies as a result. The G'keti are highly ridiculed.
- The Ne'kressis begin their invasion of the Outer Rim and Mid Rim with their Directorate and Aurora allies. Dathomir, Ithor, Kashyyyk are the first worlds to fall.

- The New Republic is unable to respond to the sudden threat. The Senate begins embroiled in feuds and doubt. Admiral Coltar liasons with Senator Drax Milamber in an attempt to study the new "unknown" invaders which sparks the multi-million credit Camelot Project.
- Disgusted by the Aurora resistance, the Ruling Council conduct a galaxy wide purge of all known Aurora facilities and vessels. They seize control of Aurora territory and wipe out the "inferior" faction. Aurora Prime is born from the ashes.

- Tyler Sizas is created with the memories of Zaisius by the G'keti with help from Shek'dai Soul technology. They unfortunately are unable to recover most of the former Gatekeeper's memories and likewise fumble the human instincts. Tyler escapes the Ne'kressis and becomes a rogue Gatekeeper.

- Yaga Minor within the Imperial Remnant begins operational once more and the Moff Council agree to a hasty and concentrated military buildup in an effort to prevent the disaster happening once more. Communication with the Republic is heavily disrupted due to the Ne'kressis territory cutting both the Remnant and Republic apart.

Kalle is beaten back, yet Coltar arrives in the Camelot and is able to destroy the invading Ne'kressis cruiser and support vessels. This marks the first victory for the New Republic over the Ne'kressis.
- The Shek'dai begin bleeding of their own technology through the gates at Shakurus without the Ruling Council knowledge.
- Yun Sunrunner is able to defeat Agent Korik and Agent Charne. This infuriates the Ruling Council to no end as they resurrect the dead Agents and hastily reassign them to support the Eclipse in different areas of the galaxy. Sunrunner is however imbued with the Khal'ya and whilst able to power personal Nek'ressis items, it severely limits his force abilities.
- The Directorate launches its biggest single concentration of forces in an attempt to make a territory planet grab in the Corporate Sector. It is believed that if the Corporate Sector vast resources can be harnessed then the New Republic will be overrun in months rather than years. The Remnant notice the attempt and send their own task force in an effort to counter the effort.
- The Ne'kressis make a surprising push into the Core in a major offensive against Corellia. The New Republic forces are brushed aside yet the arachnid invaders do not carry forward to grind against more heavily fortified systems. Centerpoint Station is captured by the Eclipse.
- Agent Korik unwittingly helps Kizan escape the dirtball of a planet he resides upon in a Ne'kressis body bringing the former "Destroyer of Worlds" back into the Imperium.
- The Directorate ask for assistance within the Corporate Sector. In response the Ruling Council send an envoy to the New Republic - to bring in an era of peace and end this war and allow the stretched Ne'kressis to send a portion of its fleet to eradicate the Imperial thorn.
- Within the hasty peace, the Eclipse continue their terrorist actions in disregard to the proposed peace plan - the Ne'kressis make no attempt to correct their "children".
- Jekrakto Agents uncover a Shek'dai plot to ruin Kra'gressis and bring the Har'shook into disfavour of the Ruling Council. Dalris and Zarin flee from the Jekrakto upon Corellia. Directorate forces for the first time begin to make a stand verses the Ne'kressis forces for the first time in two years. Dalris uses the DarkSaber to enter the Corellian system and destroy the Kraiken flagship. He however is captured along with Zarin. The Directorate slips further into total Ne'kressis domination under the Ruling Council rather than the Shek'dai.

Using an army of soul powered constructs, the Shek'dai rampage through the Jedi Academy, capturing the souls of many force sensitives and Jedi upon Yavin. Luke Skywalker's soul is captured along with many of the other Jedi Masters. Even with the valiant efforts of Yun Sunrunner and other Jedi, the Shek'dai are able to capture a significant amount of souls for insidious purposes. Raltise, realizes his heritage as an Ekishzai, marks the first sighting of the old race to the Ne'kressis for over seven thousand years and is able to protect a group of Jedi from the Shek'dai Dharma ambush within the jungle. The retreat of the Jedi is shortlived as Ruling Council forces arrive. A Har'shook Dhalein and Thalein arrive in the Yavin system after following Auron and Nay-Tei and begin to blockade the planet - firing upon the Shek'dai forces. The Shek'dai are forced to retreat yet Raltise is able to block the Khal'ya connection to the vessel with great effort. A New Republic fleet from Mon Calamari led by Vice Admiral Sayir Tulon arrives to drive the Ne'kressis away, but in a final mockery of the "Impure" the crashing Shalein activates its phase drive to annhilate most of Yavin IV. The Jedi Order has been dealt a crippling blow.
- Senator Nrala Maty'lya attempts to assassinate President Delaric during a crisis Senate meeting upon the peace treaty and resultant event of Yavin IV. Bothawui withdraws from the New Republic and almost immediately petitions to join the Ne'kressis Imperium. The Ne'kressis are all to happy to accept - with the eradication of the Bothan defense force.
- Zhalimar, a prestigious "Gifted" Eclipse Priest captures Senator Nhesh upon Coruscant. Zhalimar is discovered by a mercenary group who are able to foil his plans and reveal the mutant hybrids that the Priest is developing within the bowels of the New Republic capital. Coruscant thus narrowly avoids an invasion from within by Zhalimar. Senator Nhesh reveals her account of events within the Tapani sector and recently upon Coruscant to reveal the Ne'kressis lack of respect for any peace.
- The New Republic refuse the treaty.
- Rihani Ambrai is made head of what's left of the Jedi Order. A new academy begins construction on Coruscant.

Using Prefekt to lead them to Korriban they dump him upon the planet to thwat Malus. Prefekt narrowly beats Malus as Agent Jedan oversees the Sith's termination. Fearing the supposed "Sith spirits" and how the Shek'dai could possibly use them, the U'taris begins to bombard the planet with its thousands of phase missiles. Eve
and Nyevin narrowly rescue Prefekt from certain death, although Agent Jedan is not so lucky as the Ruling Council condemn him to death. Korriban is destroyed.
- Phoenix Eclipse, leader of the Eclipse is called before the Ruling Council and executed for the Eclipse Order's failure in terminating the Jedi Order.

23 years after ANH
- Rohan Ambrai, Jedi Knight is shown the fate of Luke Skywalker as he is shown a secret base for the Shek'dai. Skywalker now powers a massive construct that builds the Shek'dai technology. Inserting a soul into Rohan, they hope to use him as a medium between themselves and the New Republic.
- Amongst much fanfare and celebration four new Camelot cruisers are launched at Kuat Drive Yards. A Nekressis fleet attacks the parade but is totally destroyed. During the conflict, one of the rearmost Camelot cruisers fires upon it's brother/sister ships - crippling their main systems, before entering hyperspace. The Eclipse have gained possession of a Camelot cruiser.
- The Satek Stone is prevented from falling into either Shek'dai or "Loyalist" Ne'kressis hands. A mercenary group now seek out the rest of the pieces to go with this artifact.
- The Battle for Corellia begins. High Admiral Kalle and Navy General Coltar lead one the biggest operations since the conception of the war in an effort to retake Corellia. Upon arriving at the planet, a massive fleet is shown to be present from the Nekressis yet an element of it hangs back. Centerpoint Station is destroyed in the initial phases of the space battle. Gruelling fighting ensures, with a startling relevation that the Nekressis can create illusionary copies of themselves that baffle sensors. For the first time in open combat - the Nekressis attempt boarding of enemy vessels, though accompanying Jedi defeat the attempt. The Republic is able to gain a foothold upon one side of the planet, yet fighting continues against what appears to be an almost endless amount of Nekressis ships. Eclipse forces retreat into hyperspace for the most part, yet many ships remain behind on the opposite orbit to New Republic vessels. Troops begin landing.
- The Shekdai lead the Utharis into an ambush, attacking the flagship/station of the Nekressis Imperium and capturing the soul of one of the Ruling Council itself. With this, a new Shekdai war has begun which infuriates the Harshook and Ekishnak. Bickering ensures between the clans.
- War rages upon the planet. A New Republic striketeam encounter a underground labyrinth underneath an old Cor Sev base which was sealed from the outside. This labyrinth is Nekressis-made, including a phase portal into a cesspit of a town used as a prison used to test new creations from the G'keti. The striketeam penetrates into this town and beyond until reaching the nest of a new hybrid creature (Gobblygookscarything). The creature seems to have been spawned from a Nekressis originating creature and a Vornskr providing a beast that hunts down force-users and drains it from them. The striketeam barely escape yet cause significant damage to the nest.
- A plague sweeps over the New Republic forces which hampers efforts to mount an effective assault. Kuole is exposed as a former-gatekeeper known as Kizan who dedicates himself to helping form a cure against the Nekressis bio-weapon. With a group of Jedi, he penetrates into a G'keti medical facility to retrieve the necessary data. A temporary cure is produced, yet secretly Kuole has implanted a gene that will wear down the willpower of a subject. He hopes to build his own cult and army in which to oppose the Nekressis Imperium.
- Imperial forces arrive in support of the New Republic, yet disaster strikes when the Imperial General is forced to crash land upon the planet. He is taken to an oceanic based slave-camp for the Eclipse. Miss Black, a light-side Jedi, responsible for intel on gobblygookcreature and retrieval of the cure is able to mount a daring rescue. Zhalimar is defeated (yet again) and escapes from the camp as it embroils itself within turmoil of thousands of escaped slaves running amock - even the Nekressis envoy assigned to the base makes a "tactical withdrawel" in haste of the inner rebellion caused by Black and her team.
- The cities of Tyrena, Bela Vistal, Doeba Gurfel amongst others are liberated from Eclipse/Nekressis control.
- Inexplicably the Nekressis withdraw their remaining space forces from Corellia, effectively bringing the war for the planet to an end. Coronet City quickly becomes the last bastion of Nekressis control, yet despite New Republic efforts withstands assaults. With casualties already numbering hundreds of thousands, the New Republic ceases its actions against the Coronet "Spire" leaving the city within Nekressis control for the time-being so a more effective assault can be organized after the rest of Corellia had been totally secured and rebuilding was way underway. Without Nekressis support, it is believed that the Spire cannot constitute much of a threat - yet this has not stopped a ten mile radius from being cordoned off around the seemingly impregnable fortress.
- Celebrations rage across the Core and Remnant as word of victory at Corellia reach them.
- The Shek'Dai arrive at Coruscant with a fleet. They deem it 'diplomatic' yet it is clearly a fleet prepared for possible invasion. Rohan Ambrai is present to act as mediator and ambassador for the Shek'Dai in their proposal of a treaty with the New Republic.
