[Delete] | -Declaration of Defense! The Commonwealth is formed!-
Weary of the constant years of fighting between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire, many worlds have opted to cede from the two galactic governments and formed their own union. Lead by the King of Naboo, Forseti Ullr, the Aegis Commonwealth's charter was signed and ratified by the governments of the member worlds.
Forseti Ullr was elected as the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth and helped usher in the smooth foundation of a galactic power. King Ullr gave the following statement at the convocation:
"We cannot stand the constant warfare any longer. Ever since the last days of the Old Republic, sheathed in the bloodshed of the Clone Wars, the galaxy has not known peace. Therefor, we have decided to leave this constant warring behind. The Aegis Commonwealth is open to those who wish for true peace. BUT, this alliance of worlds is not without the will to defend that peace. The Commonwealth forces will keep our member worlds safe, we will deal with any aggression from any outside aggressor with due force and we will ensure the Commonwealth's peace and stability. Our arms are open in welcome to any who wish to join us, and our fist will strike any who come at us with weapons. May the Force be with you."
