[Delete] | In a stunning move the Imperial Forces struck a hard blow against Bespin and Thyferra in a two fold move. This move brought Thyferra under Imperial control, while Bespin managed to avoid being taken thanks to the timely arrival of Republic Forces.
The Imperials at Bespin were driven off and the remaining forces on Cloud City have gone into hiding. However, in a bold move, the Republic seems to claim Cloud City as Republic controlled space now. Not long after the announcement was made by Admiral Valhalla, a ban on their actions on Bespin was filed by lawyers representing Megadyne Industries. This ban will, at least for a little while, prevent the Republic from having any say on what goes on in the Bespin System, and prevent them from taking any action in the system as well, that includes military maneuvers. When asked why they filed this motion, the lawyers simply said that, "The liberties and freedom of certain people in the system have been taken away due to a trigger happy Admiral thinking to finish what the Imperials started. If the Republic is allowed to take such bold actions without any checks, how then are they any better than the Imperials?"
The restriction will be in effect until the case is formally reviewed next week by the Supreme Court of Coruscant. |

[Delete] | Due to the currently Imperial tun government of Thyferra, exports of Bacta from the planet are nearly non-existent, which has caused price for small quantities of the substance to be astronomical. The prices on the Black Market are said to be even higher, making many shady dealers of the substance to become rather wealthy.
This action has caused the Republic to start seeking out alternatives to Bacta, since this is now the second time in the New Republic's brief history that they have suffered a loss of Bacta, the last time being the aptly named Bacta War against former Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard. |
| Imperial Prefect Put to Rest |

[Delete] | Imperial Prefect Jenisteen Dirano, wife to known man of influence Christoff Dirano was killed in battle. Sources indicated that she was attempting to free a planet from a rebellious faction who intended to impose a strict anti-alien policy that would mean death for a great many who wished to travel to other worlds. In a daring and bold move, Jenisteen challenged the leader to single combat, and was felled in battle by the tyrant.
In an official statement by the Moff Council, an official state funeral will be held in honor of Prefect Dirano, stating that she embodied the best qualities of the Empire, and the Order it wishes to restore to the galaxy. The funeral is expected to include the home fleet of the Empire, along with several high ranking members attending the service.
*OOC Note: The Funeral will be held Saturday night, roughly 9pm (EST), all Imps are requested to attend if you're able. |

[Delete] | Today a terrible accident hit the Republic Senate hard. A transport carrying several senators from various worlds such as Naboo, Coruscant, Mon Calamari, Sullust as well as other sectors accidentally dropped out of Hyperspace into the path of a stellar fragment, all were killed when the transport collided with the fragment, totally destroying the ship and all aboard. The member worlds who lost their senators are scrambling to get replacements to the Senate whilst in a state of mourning for their lost people. |

[Delete] | An unexplained mystery has appeared during the months of open warfare between the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire. On the edge of the outer rim two ships engaged in battle, and the fighting was intense according to official statements from both governments.
However, in the middle of the battle, contact was lost with both sides at the same time. A Republic Destroyer was sent to investigate, and the Crimson Dawn, captained by starship captain veteran Lionel Mandrake, reported back that both ships were found adrift in space. Both ships had been gutted of major systems, and the crews of both ships are missing, presumed dead due to the heavy damage both ships suffered from whatever they encountered.
At this time neither government has issued any statements on this matter, save for that they are continuing their investigation. |

[Delete] | In a recent tragic turn of events, several people of varying Force talent complained of a great pains and other similar trouble all at the same time. Force trained investigators with the Republic then tracked down this disturbance to a planet far removed from the galactic troubles currently plaguing the galaxy. The world was a remote place known as Durrinium. What was found there was considered by many who found the planet to be one of the most devastating scenes they ever found. Every single form of life on the entire planet was found dead. Man, woman, child, the elderly, even the beasts and birds. All dead. According to the Force Investigators, it would appear that the Midi-chlorians in all forms of life were found absent from the beings of the planet, as if some great force had swooped in onto this planet and drained the 'Force' from every single life on the planet. What happened to all this is unknown, but reports will be made when, if anything, is known. |

[Delete] | The Jedi Order is now an enemy of the Republic! After a surprising turn of events in which a Jedi tried to murder Senator Visio of Naboo, the Republic issues warrants for the arrest of the entire Order and dispatched the third fleet to Ossus to take control of the Jedi Temple recently constructed on the planet.
Fleeing the planet before the fleet could intercept them, the Jedi Order have now escaped and their location is unknown. Warrants for all known members of the Order and any known enablers and supporters who give them aid or shelter.
