[Delete] | Just to see who thinks what and a nice board chat, in the line of Star Wars, what music strikes you as epic? Can come from movies, games, or just music CDs you like to listen to, whatever you think is epic, post and we can discuss.
Myself I find the following game soundtracks epic:
Final Fantasy (The Star Wars of Japan)
Castlevania
Mega Man
Kingdom Hearts
Metal Gear
Shadow of the Colossus (beautifully epic)
Prince of Persia
Onimusha (espeically the third, they use variation of Dies Irae for themes in the game, which is awesome)
Okami (heavily Japanese inspired, but epic all the same)
For Movie soundtracks, I find:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Anything Alan Silvestri does (Van Helsing, Beowulf (which wasn't an epic movie, but the music was))
Superman Returns
Hunt For Red October
The Conan Movies
If I think of more, I'll list them.
