[Delete] | I've noticed that there have been issues arising in the past month alone that I feel that I need to address. If you take offense to anything I say, I do apologize, but I have had complaints that will also effect how players will play some of their characters and what characters will be allowed.
1) If you are bored enough to make OOC comments about a current main story rp, either keep your comments to your self, talk during private messaging, or maybe...make a character to fit and join in..? It's not rocket science.
2) This is a Roleplay fantasy setting: do not take what happens here so personally. We all have our fears, doubts, phobias, and psychological triggers. Also, I am more than okay with relationship rps, as the setting could have an air of "Let's repopulate the Earth!", but once a character decides on who you are going to play that relationship with and try to stick with them. Back to triggers, some of us were left for other people, try to be mindful of that.
3)DO NOT make a character that is reclusive and then complain that no one plays you. If you want people to interact with you, get involved in story lines or go where people congregate in the setting and interact. If you stay on the sidelines, don't expect much as no one will know your character even exists. Again, not rocket science.
3a) If someone does interact with the character, play your character true to how you made them, but don't ignore them and act like they are beneath you or your character. I'm going to start gagging players for intentionally ignoring other players.
3b) If there are people you do not wish to rp with, that is well within your right to say so, but don't ignore people when you are role playing and then complain how no one plays with your character or you.
4) While I do not feel that ALL roleplay in this chat should be planned, but there is a main story line that has been planned out and talked about among everyone here. (If anyone has any questions to bring them up to speed, I will gladly answer them, so please PM me or send me an IM over AIM: eclipsepantherkn) There is a main setting: every room has one and this room is Post World War 3/Armageddon/Apocalyptic New York City/Japan/Canada/D.C.Things are being rebuilt, just keep in mind that trade is probably the best currency at the moment as there is no economy and barely any civilization to speak of.
5) This one goes for real life too: No matter how big you think you are, there will always be someone or something bigger than you. Honestly, if you center your characters around attacking and fighting people, just to prove you're better, I wouldn't expect much roleplay either as it gets old.
6) Character deaths: they will happen and I leave that call about characters dying up to their players. If your character dies, do not complain, just start a new character. I don't care if it is an illegitimate child your character didn't know about. Also, don't use one of your own characters to help a character in a fight, unless you started the battle roleplaying BOTH characters.
7) This goes back to the first item on the list, OOC banter: If there is a large rp going on, try to keep the ooc to a minimum as people are readying to find out how they need to react and what they need to do to have fun and stick with what is going on. When things are slow, do it within reason. I just ask that you refrain from it during large scale rps.
8) Be mindful that everyone has their own story lines within the chat that fit around the main story line, but I'm not allowing anyone's story in particular to overshadow the plot of the chat.
9)There are NEUTRAL areas in the city that all Factions are allowed and there is no fighting allowed, but do things happen, yes? The story line calls for it sometimes, but it doesn't happen often. One of these places is the Pit Stop in Brooklyn. I will be making a board post as to what these locations are, but I believe the only established one is the Pit Stop.
10)It will take a 2/3rds vote, out of three admins, to ban/ask someone to leave the chat, but if you apologize and try to come back, it will have to be a unamious vote (3 votes for) to allow you back in.
As we are getting more people and more diverse ideas for RP, if you have any ideas, please, put them in a board post, poke me on AIM, and I will see if I can work it in to the story and the setting. All I ask is for people to be patient with me and the story itself as it is being played out.
