The populace of Attilan exists in a rigid structural system of service to the better of Attilan so that each person is assigned a role to fufill based on their unique Gifts and how they best serve the city. Those with brilliant minds are placed in the Scientific Houses, the most prominent of which is the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) with the Innovation of New Tehchnogoly Department following closely behind. Those with offensive of defensive combat abilities are placed primarily in the role of the Protectorate, which serves as a unified army and law enforcement team. And those with talents that would aid in food production are placed within the Agriculture sector. Those with less specific Gifts are placed in the General Sector where the more non-specific labor fields are presented. The people of Attilan are ruled by the Royal Families and more directly by the King of Attilan, currently ruled by King Agaragon Boltius. The other members of the Royal House have no official standing beyond the Queen though Agaragon and his betrothed are not yet wed so there is no official Queen. Below the station of the King and Queen is the Council of Attilan, the heads of their independent sectors. Advisors to the King, they are imbued with power to oversee their respective sectors of society in the service of the people. The city is protected by a sytem of bio-filtration fields that scrub the air of all toxins from outside of Attilan. These fields can be used as holographic porojectors allowing the island to cloak its exiistence from prying eyes. The island posseses an advance anti-gravity system that allows it to float in the air and is equipped with a mass spatial distortion generator allowing for it to teleport though this is kept to a minimum for fear that the discharge of the system could be detected by those outside of Attilan. All Attilanian children are placed through extensive physical and mental training from the earliest possible age to ensure that they are the fittest specimens possible to endure the Testing. If they emerge from the Testing triumphant, then they are allowed to take part in the Naming ritual. The failures of the Testing are denied the right to the Naming and are assigned a designation to be catalogued and relegated to Unterprim the home of the Alpha Primitives. The Testing: An ancient ritual, the Testing sees the youth of Attilan enter into adulthood by being exposed to the Breath of Athil. They are taken into a cave known as the Mouth of Trials and where in lays mysterious energy producing crystals known as Terrigen Crystals. These crystals release a mutagenic gas known as the Terrigen Mists. Those exposed to the Mists emerge either with a "Gift" or transformed into a biological state known as an "Alpha Primitive" believed to be a form of de-evolution of their structure. The Naming: All children of Attilan take two names, the name they are given at birth by their family and the name they adopt after passing the Testing. A sign of their transformation from child to adult, the choosing of who they would be now. A Bonding Ritual of ancient tradition sees mates exchange their unchosen name, commonly known as their Binding Name. A name known only to those who knew them before the Testing. The Alpha Primitives: Those who fail the Testing are transformed into physiological specimens with unique but similar features. Usually bald and broad in figure, the Primitives possess superhuman strength greater than other Attilanians. They are also more fortified against germ and bacteria then the typical Attilanian as they have a superior immune system. However their physical appearance is their notable of their disgrace, while each possesses their own unique mutations they are almost uniformly missshappen with bald scalps, distorted facial structures, and abnormally smooth skin. Baring disfigured or additional limbs, they are used as the primary labor force for the jobs that the Attilanians do not wish to do. They reside in Unterprim, an underground labrinth of tunnels and equipment that provide the maintetnance and services of Attilan that have been turned into the city of the Alpha Primitives.  The Attempted Assassination of Black Bolt Black Bolt 8:56pm, October 23, 2017 [Edit] [Delete] Unknown forces attempted to assassinate King Black Bolt in the nigh, however the King was able to flee with the aid of an Alpha Primitive known as Kogan Triumph and the hound of Attilan, Lockjaw. Similar assassination attempts were made on the lives of Black Bolt's allies forcing Black Bolt and those loyal to him to flee their island home for NeoX.
