General
1. Do not be a dick and to respect one another. This is a hobby and an outlet. Let's not ruin the fun for each other by being petty.
2. Respect the staff. If we ask you to do something, do it. Otherwise we have every right to ban you for disrupting the peace of the chat. This extends to all conversations in the room, as well as conversations pertaining to the room outside of JJ (i.e. on social media, discord, etc. etc.).
3. Put up your character profile(s) as soon as humanly possible.
4. After 30 days of absence from the room you lose your canons. Coming back and making a single post will not count as a return; you must be present for several days for it to count as a return, in that time if it's at the tail end of the 30 days we'll waive losing your canons. Exceptions can be made if you give the admins a reason for your absence.
- If a player chooses to delete their characters they become available immediately regardless of time away.
5. We currently do not have a canon cap. However, we expect everyone to police themselves or we will step in if we feel you're going a bit crazy regging canons. Have as many as you feel you can adequately and regularly play.
In Character
To prevent some issues that tend to occur in Marvel-focused rooms we may, from time to time, need to address them via IC-focused rules.
- Cosmic entities are to be considered not playable. Our goals for this room are to keep the story arcs more toned down than other Marvel rooms in the past, as well as make the characters more character-focused (i.e. they shouldn't be defined solely by their powers)--think a la Spider-Man Homecoming "if you're nothing without the suit your powers, then you shouldn't have it them." If your character has a "tap" or "link" to a cosmic entity, consider that tap/link dormant and unable to be used at all until or unless approved unanimously by all admins.
In general, if you have a character that falls into this category, just tone down their abilities to a level below city-shattering and you'll be fine. Any attempt at going beyond that should be ignored by all other players and admins will handle the player using said abilities. If you have any questions about power usage feel free to talk to an admin.
Characters like Galactus, Uatu, etc. etc. may be used in the future for specific story arcs but only with admin approval and for a very specific set amount of time.
- There will be no new characters registered that are mutant/cybernetic combos as a result of the Infection plot as of November 16th, 2017.
These rules are subject to change at the discretion of the staff as needed.
