Located at 407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center in the town of North Salem, located in the very northeast corner of Westchester County, Neo X. The Institute was originally Xavier's family estate that was converted into the first school for mutants. The school affords room, boarding and education to children of any age though typically they come in at first grade equivalent as early as six and can stay on until a legal adult when they graduate. Some students are allowed to continue on at the Institute until as late as age twenty six, but are expected to find lodgings off campus.
To qualify to be a student you must show potential in intellect and mutant power alike. You must be a member of the Empire as the Imperial Institute only accepts the most promising individuals that the Empire can provide.
