It seems that Frost Pharmaceuticals has a leak, or that's the rumor as lately there are new drugs available on the market that give you that much needed high as the addictive substance can for brief periods of time amplify ones mutant power. Edited 8:36am, October 22, 2015 by Felinx, author.  Olympian Beasts Felinx 4:51am, April 20, 2012 [Edit] [Delete] In the days of Ancient Greece, the Gods of Olympus had decided to create a series of creatures, beasts have you, that were tied to an element that was best tied to the God. Over those years, the great Greek heroes had searched and slayed each one, but instead of Hades claiming their spirits, they had wandered until the time came for them to become reincarnated into a person. A mutant child. These Mutant Children, or Adults, depending on their time of birth, are what are known as the 'Greek Beasts' or as the Gods call them, the 'Olympian Beasts'. Each of the 'Beasts' have a mark on their back pertaining to the Beast that had been reincarnated into them. As far as how the spirits of the beasts work, the ones who possess them hold the mutant X-Gene inside them, but the Beast's spirit had influenced the ability that mutant had gained. On top of the ability, each 'Beast' has the ability to "Manifest" into their 'Beast', meaning they take on aspects of that beast. In some cases, they gain extra abilities as well, but only pertaining to their mutant abilities. Now, this is open to anyone willing to take a beast, but they must list who the character is, what beast they had reincarnated and which Olympian God the Beast is tied to. So far, the Olympian Beasts that are open are: The Water Beast - Tied to Poseidon - Control over water and control over ice to a point. The Earth Beast - Tied to Ares - Control over the Earth. The Shadow Beast - Tied to Hades - Control over the Shadows. The Fire Beast - Tied to Hephaestus - Control over Fire and Heat. The Solar Beast - Tied to Apollo - Control over Light and Illusions. The Lunar Beast - Tied to Artemis - Control over Light and 'Invisibility'. There is the possibility for other Beasts of course. The only one not available is the Lightning Beast, who is tied to Zeus as I've already claimed him due to my character's abilities already. Yet ever, tension lies between those seeking dominion over the waves. A tension that will soon ignite into full scale hostilities... For years, the fabled Serpent Crown has been held in safety by Atlantis. Its safety has been guaranteed as it is presently in the vault of King Namor, in a chest that is warded to only be opened by one with the royal family's blood. This Serpent Crown is a prize greatly sought after by many of the followers of Set, the demon god. Recently for unknown reasons, the nation of Lemuria, which after their defeat by Atlantis had been keeping quiet, has begun to send scouts probing around the city of Atlantis. Already some skirmishes have broken out between the two factions. The chaos of the seas are slowly coming to a head.. Eventually he managed to escape not only Imperial hold but also the planet itself. He vowed revenge against the planet Earth for what was done not only to himself but his crew as well. Brief Summary of Plot: Johann Schmidt, under the guise of Dell Rusk has used his influence within the Imperial Special Affairs division to seek out various religious and occult items of significance. He seeks Imperials to find the location of the True Shards of the Cross which were rumored to have considerable powers including the capacity for miraculous healing. Though the reason they are sought by Special Affairs is unknown, considerable resources have been sunk into finding leads for characters to follow up on. At the same time S.H.I.E.L.D. has also learned of the Empire's sudden interest in these occult items, specifically the True Shards. In an attempt to cut off another manner for the Empire to garner power, S.H.I.E.L.D. has put together their own team of researchers and investigators to do their best to keep the Empire from claiming their powers. Even if said items turn out to be mere relics of the past, they are symbolic items of the world before the Empire and if they have an interest in getting them, it is in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best interest to deny them those resources. OOC: There are dangers involved in this rp, both from NPC antagonists involved with the plot and naturally the battle between SHIELD and Imperial Forces.
