[Delete] | For those of you who are familiar with the game series, it takes place after Megaman X8 and Command Mission.
If not, then read on:
In the year 21XX, after a failed attempt by Humans to migrate to the moon, the Earth is once more attempting to find peace. Reploid work forces have been dispatched to the moon via the Orbital Elevator, to dismantle the facilities on the moon and to bring those resources and materials back to Earth to be used in development projects on the planet.
The Next Generation Reploids, who have the new Copy Chip installed in them, have had their production lines stopped, and all listed Next Generation Reploids are kept under constant supervision.
The Maverick Hunters are currently over seeing the project of removing the materials from the moon for Earth use.
Also during this time, at the city of Metro North, a new Hunter base has been established in the growing city, to keep an eye on Reploid activity in the area. Metro North is located on an artifically created island known as Metro Island. The island is home to many artifical environments, ranging from artic climates to lava spewing volcanos. The scientists on this island use the environments to study ways to harness energy and test new technology. All this technological might in a single area is the main reason for the Hunters' watchful eye here, as Mavericks would make great use of this island's resources.
PS: As Command Mission is set in 22XX, the chat is also set in that century.
