[Delete] | The attacks on the realms have been shown to be mostly the work of the Savage Horde; A collective of Orc clans as well as a new faction calling itself "The Cult of the Eye". They are the ones claiming responsibility for the deaths of the numerous civilians and are just one of the many voices out there calling attention to themselves.
In the Dark Kingdom, a warlord calling himself "The Witch-King" has established a new realm, up in the mountain regions and has taken to kidnapping travelers close to his lands.
Other rumors are also fast running through the lands. That the Lycan's have declared war and have allied with the Savage Horde for one. Also that the Drow have finally returned from the Darklands and seek to wreck havoc upon the entire surface.

[Delete] | The Dark Kingdom's boundaries have closed to all outsiders.
New Angmar has gained a reputation for being an open sanctuary for the Dark Forces of the continent.
Temptation and the Dark Sisterhood has joined New Angmar. War is officially declared.
Somnium and Aurora have forged an alliance, to be sealed with a marriage between Aurora's crown heir and one of the nobles from one of Somnium's house.
Villages and small cities are said to vanish beneath the earth overnight.
The dead are seen walking the roads and stalking travelers. As are Lizardmen, Orcs, Goblins and countless other monstrous races. |

Oz, the only other major player has opted for neutrality.
Seven new realms had appeared, each one led by a warlord with their own power base. |

Half of Sirtopia is now in flames, and the smoke can be seen for miles away.

Refugees are traveling from there to the Auroran Border.

King Duncan has been slain and replaced with a younger man, "MacBeth." His leanings are unknown.
Lord Belgretor has recently endured an assassination attempt. It did not succeed.
Lizardfolk have recently taken to raiding outside the swamp borders.
Queen Ella is rumored to have become bedridden now. Her illness, having gotten the better of her. |

[Delete] | A raid has been conducted within Lord Belgretor's borders. Accounts are sketchy, but a dragon was said to be involved. The targeted place was a mining slave camp.
Auroran/Somnium troops took advantage of this and managed to free a new, defensive fort-town from Lord Belgretor's grip.
Delegates from the Dark Kingdom have been sighted in Gronds territory. |

A bounty of 10,000 Gold for each of the Warlord heads has been issued from Somnium.
Rust Monsters have been unleashed on the battlefield to counter the Turtles.

[Delete] | The Warlords have begun to fight among themselves. Lord Belgretor marches his forces to war against Sirtopia and Phindaren. Grond and Aliaga have allied to counter MacBeth.
The intense blizzards are beginning to increase in power, especially at night.
The attempted assassination of Prince Julian has taken the life of a Cleric of Hope. The people of Aurora especially are enraged and demand action, as it not only killed a beloved figure but also for the day it happened. |

[Delete] | The skirmish between Alliance/Phindaren-Sirtopia forces and Lord Belgretor is becoming known as "The Clash of Dragons". Morale concerning the war has soared because of it.
Hadrian's Wall on the borders of Somnium in the Barbarian Lands is becoming more active. The people of that realm behind the wall are stirring, preparing to take their place in the game occurring now.
The Power of the Warlords has finally broken. MacBeth, Lord Belgretor and Lord Urivay have thrown in their lot with the Dark Kingdom. Yusf is dead, Lord Averagos has stepped down out of power, Grond and Aliaga no longer have the forces to counter the full might of either side in battle anymore and Lord Victor Van Damne has joined his forces with the Alliance.
Prince Severus of Somnium has been found. While the close friends and family are joyful, the people on the other hand are less-then-impressed. Many call for his and his peoples trial for desertion and overall, the division is greater then expected. This prompts an aura of mistrust in Aurora and Somnium. |

[Delete] | Prince Julian has left on a diplomatic mission to the continent of Middle-Earth.
First contact with the formerly enclosed realm of Caledonia has been established and diplomatic talks have been established for later.
MacBeth with the reinforcements from the Dead Lands has finally conquered Grond's territory and slew his fellow warlord. Aliaga and her lizardfolk currently hide out in the swamps.
Last night, a shooting star flew across the night sky. Bright, beautiful... And ultimately, destined for more as it crashed somewhere in the sea, located around the vicinity of the Chain: A number of islands connected to each other. While some venture to determine if there is some portent attached to it, others seek the fallen star for other, darker purposes. And who will get to it first? |

[Delete] | Aurora has found itself recently under attack twice over. Once when the witch, Maleficent managed to sneak into Aurora and slaughtered King Phillip and Queen Aurora. The second, when the Elves of the Sleeping Forest who have long watched our borders were all found dead. Killed by rampaging Orc Hordes who broke through the defenses in the night. The results of which have sparked the following.
Princess Ivonne Constanze has been arrested for high treason and the assisted Murders of King Phillip and Queen Aurora and for Conspiracy to Murder Prince Julian and the Murder of Cleric Jane Hopper.
Current Power in Aurora now rests with her highness Emilie and the regent she has appointed with the aid of several prominent ruling families from both Aurora and Somnium with the absence of Julian from Aurora. |

[Delete] | Third day of fighting. Dark Kingdoms numbers vs Alliance defenses have resulted in a stalemate thus far, though with fresher reserves and summoners, enemy forces currently hold the advantage in the long run.
Dark Kingdom has revealed a mobile fortress, destroyed by a small Alliance group but observation shows it was partly designed from stolen Phindaren tech.
The massive generator brought in has been transported away, its power incalculably too much for the purpose it was meant for. Scrying has proven useless in that regard to find it.
Piracy in the Chain has stepped up, the fleet of Hook searching the seas for something...Or someone. |

[Delete] | With the aid of the Caledonian's and Julian's Middle-Earth/Phindaren reinforcements as well as the death of the enemy force leader Kaldis by Severus, the battle has ended in a general retreat by the enemy, who have holed up in their side of the border.
With this major victory, the Alliance have gained a greater edge over the war in general, with victory being actually in sight for the first time.

Time goes on, and so does our realms as once more into the breach, we find ourselves in this state of war. On the front lines, along the realms where Sirtopia, Aurora and the Wastelands meet, monstrosities were unleashed upon the battlefield as the Dark Kingdom shows that they have not been idle in their time during our cease fire. Monsters beyond what we have faced, cross-bred with the worst of the worst for the sole purpose of decimating our people and our way of life.
Living equivalents of our best war vehicles, they range from the savage to the brutish as our men and women fight gallantly against the beasts that come upon us at this time. But we shall not remain idle, we shall not falter. We stand for a higher purpose and thus shall we prevail.
In other news, it has been confirmed officially that our enemy now has access to the skies, as we do. Now in addition to the roar of the cannons and the cries of the fallen, the sky is now lit up as though it were dawn in the growing dark as airship fights airship for mastery of the skies. What new sort of circumstances these will produce is anyone's guess now. But fight on our gallant soldiers! We will do our part, that you can do yours!

[Delete] | Mass exodus of the refugees whose kingdoms Belgretor had destroyed return to their homes to rebuild and aid the soldiers in holding the lines.
The war is all but over. The Dark Kingdom, abandoned by its leaders falter and send entreaties of peace, one such party even now at the castle.
The Birthday Ball of Emile not only celebrates her birthday, but will also be a fundraiser for the refugees made homeless by the war.
OOC GM note: If you have a PC that might be there, then presume they arrived there at one point or another. This is the precursor to the final stages of the Grimm Wars as a whole. Will attempt to kick this off tonight. |
