[Delete] | The year is 0457 PYW, for those not familiar with events that have taken place within the last several centuries PYW stands for Post Yanelan War. The Yanelan system has fallen to the Orion and the inhabitants of the planet Revius IV have been forced to evacuate to the nearby Star System of Veritese. The occupants of this system were revealed to be the Origin, those who have been fighting against our historic oppressors for the past thousand or so years. Just last month on the 3rd of March I declared to my friends and family that I'd become a play it by ear journalist in order to get the hard facts about who the Origin are and whether or not we can truly consider them allies in this sore state of affairs. This will be the first of many reports of Origin activities during the now revived War for the Yanelan system. I feel that the Era of our defeat at the hands of the Orion will be one that is quite well remembered in the history books of the Reviar people for some time to come.
March 10th, 0457 PYW -
It's occurred to me that the Origin do not speak a single word of the human language. Us Reviarans have been known for our sophisticated Nordic accents but strong ties to the old Historical Britanica Empire. Out of the three races that comprised this Empire it was the Reviarans, the Pesh, and the Imericans. We three races were the core of once belonged to the Britanica Empire before the Orion destroyed it. Our ties to language and history were strong and still are in most areas even with the loss of our many libraries back on Revius IV. The Origin are a breed of their own however. They give us clothing they find on our old home and periodically make several sacrifices in order to communicate with us more fluently. It is as if they are attempting to culturally adapt us to their means of intelligent communications regardless of the consequences this war might have on them. A curious point of note that I discovered not but mere hours before writing this particular log update, was that one of the young men in the Origin military that rescued us had passed away shortly after ushering us to safety aboard one of our own transport ships. He'd apparently suffered several repeated shots to the back while shielding two small children as they scurried to the landing ramp of our transport. I'd never thought to look back. My interest in the Origin as a race continues to grow but above that, my obligation to repay such sacrifice for our people must come first. The biggest obstacle to this however, is that I do not know how to go about doing such a thing. Perhaps further observation of their culture might allow me to learn more. For now, I'll end this log. I'm beside myself with anger this evening, even as I record this log. It seems I misjudged the Orion peoples' capability for horrific deeds. Today was the day of the first signs that the Orion have made their way to this world in the Veritese star system. My blood boils at what I just witnessed this afternoon. My heart also sinks as I learned more about the Origin and how they've been combating the Orion for centuries now. Such Zeal and Iron Willed determination to prevail. The events that transpired today in the city of Restese I can only describe as torment of the highest caliber. The Orion breached the city walls with an Atom Hammer. For those who aren't aware the Atom Hammer is a rather crude device similar in size to a battering Ram that requires at least 5 people to wield. The tip forces molecules at molecular level to separate spatially, warping the surface of an object or objects to allow for(in this case) entry into the city. I bypasses the rules we know about atoms and applies warp drive technology on a smaller scale. Upon entering the city they released their new science experiments upon the citizens of the unsuspecting Origin nation we find ourselves in. Dozens of Origin lost their lives to this attack but what made it all the more horrifying, was that the ones attacking were former Origin soldiers. I swore that even as one hacked at a poor Origin man not 15 feet away from me that I could see tears in that tortured soldier's eyes at what she was doing. I've decided to go without rations tonight, choosing to share my portion for the night with the Origin children of the house that I am currently boarding with. They've been kind to a broken refugee like myself, and the thought of this family being butchered by one sworn to protect them burns hatred into my very soul. Curtis Myre logging off.-------

Luck struck this morning! I've made a breakthrough in determining one of the possible ancient races the Origin might have descended from! This morning I caught sight of the Black Clan family I'm staying with participating in what I can only describe as a custom far too similar to Halloween. The Imericans celebrated something called Halloween in their ancient past but even more ancient than that was the Celtic tradition of All Hallow's Eve. Our neighbors the Celts from another life time were fond of this tradition and as a Nord I must find out more so as to determine if they might be in some way related to the extinct Ganalar People. The Celts eventually became part of the Britanica Empire along side us, the Pesh, and the Imericans but were wiped out by the Orion and their planet cracker war ships long ago. Could the Black Clan have possibly incorporated members of the Ganalar into their fold in the far past or maybe even took in refugees at one point! This news steadies my hand and my conviction to attempt communication with the Black Clan even more. I'll have to ask the local Reviaran Embassy if we still have records of the Ganalar people in our history files. If so, the Black Clan might thank us for returning their history to them should some of them be converted Ganalar! I've made it a step closer to understanding a bit more about the Origin. I must study the other Clans at some point but as it stands, the other Clan on this planet, the Red Clan don't trust us visitors much. I'll have to be cautious when dealing with them.
