But the forces of Darkness can never be truly defeated...for without evil, there is no good. The Lords of Shadow, three powerful beings who are vassals of their lord, Vlad Tepes, seek the means to revive their fallen master. The Steward of the Vampires, Count Nivaria, has come to Transylvania and begins his plan to return the Dark Lord to the living world. Once more the Curse of Darkness spreads across the land, evil rises from the dark, and the forces of good must fight back against this to save the world and their very souls...  Prelude... T 6:59pm, October 10, 2010 [Edit] [Delete] And on a well worn dirt path, now turned to mud due to the heavy downpour of rain, a hooded figure stands over the scene of several robed figures strewn about the small clearing next to the road. The figure moves forward, the boots sinking into the mud with each step as the figure stops at one of the robed figures. Kneeling, a gloved hand reaches out and pulls the pouch on the robed being's belt, the hands sticking out of the sleeve of the dead figure's robes revealed a rather....unnatural hand. Dry and cracked skin, nails long and curved, this was not a normal person. The hooded figure rises and opens the pouch and reaches into it, emptying the contents on the ground save for one item: a scroll. Tossing the pouch aside, the hooded figure unrolls the scroll and looks at the contents transcribed onto the parchment. It was a map, displaying the Romanian country side, and a location marked with a red 'X', the red is the shade of dried blood. "So...once again the war is waged." The figure moves forward onto the path, letting the map fall to the side as the rain soaks the parchment, the ink begins to run and bleed onto the ground, leaving the sight silent, save for the sound of the constant rainfall.
