[Delete] | Okay. Since I'm in the process of bettering-up the News Site, you'll notice there's a "factions" link. Or where a link would go, anyhow. What I'd like to do would be to set up a sort of political stand-by map for the factions, with a short description.
It'd go like this:
TCDL/United Tatoo Sphere Members--Essentially, all the big Tatooine factions. Ion Storm, MEPD (technically, unless pogo wants to downgrade), the CAC, Mech Corps, Thorn Whatshishead's Marine forces, and others I can't think of. Technically, seeing as the planet was ICly Hutt Run for a while back, I can see things like the Red Dragon Syndicate and the Cipriani Mob coming under this umbrella, but that's really up to the people who run them. The guys who banded together to fight the Duchy in the first place--and so that kind of means if your faction is still around, you probably have a seat on this council. And yes Virginia, that means you can ICly yell at Cru when we discuss things.
Businesses--straight to the point. Wolfram and Hart, Shinra, Full Metal Jackals, Freedom Arms, Shadow Wolves--y'know, anything from conglomerates to mercenaries.
Shadows--the tricky part. These would be rumors, possibly not even mentioned(depending on the faction)--guys like SH:BC, The Chimera, or the Nomads and Thanatos types in the deep desert. They play a big part, but they have no official capacity.
Deep Space--Starfleet, DSE, Gorn, DC, New Republic, Empire, The Rubix Cube Borg, Darth Smilies, etc etc. Out of the solar system based factions who are either buddies or enemies.
All I want are brief descriptions, and where your various factions fit in on there, who's the leader, that sort of concept. No huge details are required, but I'm a big enough nerd that I can take 'em if you dish 'em out. So, either "system factions" "bussinesses" "out of system" or "no organized power structure/we aren't here." I'm bringing this up now, 'cause, y'know, twelve hour train ride on Friday...pleeenty of time to make a nifty website or two.
If successful, this should end up as a sort of "primer" for the three and a half newbies we're allowed to get per year. |
