For those who dont know, my sister is an intello in the Air Force (RAAF) and has spent the past 3 months over in the middle east eating dust and trying to sleep in tents during the day when the heat is getting close to 120 degrees faranheit. (i found my temperature converter for you guys!)

She returned to Australia last week safe and sound and very glad to be home! Her and her bf have both taken 5 weeks off work and are travelling up the east coast of australia, and hopefully will be here in a week or so. It will be great to sit down with her then and find out more about it.

This has been her second trip over that way, and by the sounds of things I doubt she is gunna be putting up her hand again! Besides, she is 36 and is getting to that "settling down" stage.

Whilst she was over there she managed to buy up big on perfume at the American BX (?????) and she also managed to get into town once or twice and found a material shop, I'm a big sewer so I received a couple of packages of gorgeous middle eastern fabric. The colours and designs are exquisite! I'm now trying to design a quilt to make that will feature the material.

I am sooo glad she is home!

A nice story and equally nice happy ending. I'm glad she's home safe and sound, Anna.

Much heartfelt thanks go out to her and all the others that served and went when called.

thanks Nicko, Ray & Edzz....i'm incredibly proud of her and so many others contribution to trying to make this crazy world a safer place.

Nicko, your story is a nice reminder of priorities. Its so easy to get cuaght up in our own world and problems, but its a much greater picture out there.
