Recently, much has been said in many arenas about the Bush family, the Cheney corporate machine and others inside Washington stealing and profiteering off the good ole USA.

Many years ago there was a fledgling country starting out. They were living under the rule of a Monarch, a man history often paints as "a bit off center". Liberal leaders of that country decided to overthrow that monarch.

So they met, by secret invitation, to decide a plan of action. Rebel forces had already clashed with the ruler's own army. But they needed a bonafide leader, a man to run the show so to speak.

Attending this meeting, dressed in Militia uniform oddly enough, was a very rich young man. Very rich. He held the rank of Col. But that rank, believe it or not, was appointed to him on his 19th birthday. His brother previously held that rank, but illness forced him to surrender it to his brother as a gift. The 19 year old had absolutely no military training. After receiving this gift, he was sent out to put down an uprising by the King and restore the peace. That was the only military mission he would ever have prior to the meeting. On his single mission, he promptly built a fort on a dried-up riverbed at the bottom of a valley. Rebel forces were able to rain shots down on his men. His men were unable to return fire uphill. Then the rains came, making what once was a dry riverbed into a river again. A lot of his men nearly drowned, and he surrendered his fort. 19 years later, he arrived at this meeting wearing a uniform that hadn't seen daylight in nearly 2 decades. With his musty uniform he brought with him one of the greatest propaganda teams in the history of civilized man that built him up to be a great war hero. He was elected as Commander of the rebel army.

That man, rich as he was, reaped untold monies off the rebel war he commanded. It is estimated that he finagled 500,000 acres of prime real estate off his own soldiers, alone. He is said to have had 9 definite mistresses (he also married for money, one of the richest women in the country) and at least 12 very probable mistresses. He slept with the wives of his generals, friends, total strangers. He partied heavily during the war, dancing and drinking his way.

His staff generals, most of whom also had little or no military training but were political appointees, were so badly entrenched in profiteering and greed that you could write a book about that alone. False companies were paid for goods never delivered to the troops. Money was laundered. When one general was caught, he not only didn't punish him but he PROMOTED him.

This man and his cronies made Haliburton & The Carlisle Group look like rank amateurs. In the end he incredibly won the war, having lost 9 battles out of 11 fought.

The man's name? George Washington.

To think that suddenly, out of nowhere, this country is being fleeced by the very rich is to say in reality "I know nothing about US History".

It's not news to say the very rich profit. It's common sense.
