Welcome to the Crip Crypt. For those old-timers, it's been a long road from the old Patio days on New Mobility.
Lorrie & I feel that this site has finally met all the criteria that we need to chat again. It's secure in that you need a password to log in under your registered name. It's "Private", meaning only those who request membership here are allowed to chat in the chat room or use this messageboard. And it has a lot of great features like posting your picture, linking to your email or instant messenger programs so they can be viewed publically, lots of funny icons, font colors & different font sizes, ignore feature, whisper feature, lurking, and it runs pretty well without the daily crashes we were accustomed to, lol. (I'm told that it runs far better on IE than Netscape)
It has been a long road... and we went through some frustrating times, but we always somehow stayed together and remained connected. We did lose a few chatters along the way, but new people have thankfully come along and filled that void. Now is the time to rekindle old friendships and make new ones. I hope we all see that through. And I hope you feel the same.
One final note, strictly from myself... as a moderator here, I don't like to play "God" and stomp on people. But it is my job to oversee things & I will NOT tolerate anyone taking hurtful attacks at other chatters in a public forum OR anyone taking destructive actions to the site itself. I've already banned a few chatters and I have no qualms about exercising my authority again. So if you should have issues with someone, please take it private with the "Whisper" function (/msg username text) or handle it in email, instant messenges or post it on other sites. We all have waited far too long for a site such as this to allow a few people to ruin it for us all. I can not and I will not allow that to happen. So please, police yourselves or I WILL. Should trouble arise, please forward any problems to Lorrie or myself. We will handle it. And I can guarantee someone won't like our solution, lol.
