It seems like only yesterday...9/11/2001. I remember watching in horror and disbelief, on live TV, as most of us chatters did, as the twin towers burnt then crashed to the ground after this country's worst terror attack.

I had my puter on so I went to Todd's Dis Chat, or whatever chatroom we were using at the time, to see if any other dis chatters were witnessing on TV what I was also watching, incredulously.

I vividly recall exchanging mssgs w/ Os and some other quad that lived on the east coast. Lottsa 'F' words were quickly typed into our keyboards while watching our televisions most of the time.

Os and I were pretty far removed from what was going on, even tho Flight 93 crashed in PA, Somerset County isn't that close to either one of us, even tho we both live in northeast PA.

The closest I was to seeing any of it live was Flight 93 might have shown up as a speck in the southern sky from where I live. Most western flights out of Newark airport show up that way on a clear day. Of course, that day the speck in the sky never returned along w/ it's many passengers. :-(

I probably live closer to lower Manhattan (150 miles) than to the crash site in Somerset County, PA. As far as I know, I knew no one killed in either of the twin towers crashes and terrible loss of life that quickly followed, Flight 93 or the Flight that was flown into the Pentagon. I just remain a sad American. :*(

Is anyone else that reads this board, and can reply, concerned abt an another attack on this country taking place tomorrow, the 5th anniversary from that fateful day? I'm concerned.
