[Delete] | Aetheria is a realm just between the cracks of the Mortal Realm. It's the source of magic and those born of it. The heart of the Weave lives at the center of Aetheria, protected deep in the castle of the Gray Queen.
Aetheria operates in a monarchy, hierarchy one of the most important aspects of their society. The ruler is chosen from one of the 5 ruling families, their title taken from their origin. Gender and birth order is not a factor, any of the family that is of age may be nominated from among the council. The council consists of the eldest living member of each ruling family and representatives from each district of Aetheria. They also then are the deciders of who next will lead.
Most in the larger cities of Aetheria see their realm as a utopia, those on the outter villages may live a harder life, further from the heart of the Weave and performing the less desirable jobs. Those that show little to no magical talent often find their way here.
Recently an uprising has been boiling under the surface of Aetheria, threatening the hierarchy and order of things, wanting more access to the Weave and the power it brings. Those that speak out against the way things are, the way things have always been done, often find themselves to be considered enemies of Aetheria. This is the cause for the larger amount of refugees and out casts from this magical realm. |
