As generations passed and werewolves became a new danger to the mortals of the realm hunters split from the packs. While a modern day hunter may be of any race, most are in fact human. Depending on the hunter and the sect they follow will decide just how much tolerance they have for a supernatural being. It's a nearly even split of those who will hunt any supernatural being and those that only hunt the ones that are a danger. Few of these even have made deals and treaties with varying beings, seeing it as the best way to protect mortals in their area. Most sects start from a family and grow as they gather others to their fight. Some keep their numbers small and treat each other like family still no matter the relation, others are like a militia with ranks and orders passed down the line. And of course not all hunters follow a sect, there are always those that prefer it alone or simply haven't gained access to a sect. These hunters are looked down on by some of the sects, especially the more militant ones, they see them as clumsy armatures constantly in the way. The sect views and ideologies listed below are the overall outlook for each group, the members within may share the views to varying degrees or not at all. Solo hunters are very wide spread, or even smaller groups that do not have a large base of operations or network. Their relationship with others hunters or sects varies greatly. If you would like to play a leader in one of the current sects please speak with an admin for details prior to submitting. 1. The Evander Family The majority of this surprisingly wide spread sect are blood family members, beyond that are their partners and even a few very close friends. Despite the size of this sect and the large amount of territory they cover they are tight knit. The older, blood related, members of the sect act as the leaders and make the decisions for the entire sect. Only a smaller number of their people are found in the city, their man property is in Texas. This is also where the children stay to train and be homeschooled, including a detailed education of the supernatural beings. Their primary goal isn't hunting down these creatures, but to protect communities from the destruction they bring. Even still, it is rare that they'll let one go free easily if they cross paths. They're skilled and knowledgeable, but with their secretive nature they often can find it hard for others to trust them with their own information.
