The shelter at the school is being run by the National Guard. They've got enough guns and ammo to keep people safe, and an ideal location, but they've got rules you need to follow. If you don't want to follow them, then eke out a living elsewhere. If you break them, expect consequences for your actions.

Food and water supplies for the moment are a trivial thing. Their's enough canned and dried goods to last a hundred people all the way through winter. Having said that, however, all food and liquid supplies brought into the school will be stored in the cafeteria. The food supplies, being integral to the survival of all, is under lock and key, and guard to boot.

Luxury foods (chocolate, candy, junk food, liquor, soda.) can be kept by the owners, for their own personal consumption.

Meals are served throughout the day. 8AM is breakfast, noon is lunch, 5PM is dinner. Meal's are served for one hour, so breakfast is from 8-9, lunch 12-1, dinner 5-6, etc. Water is always available.

Gasoline. If you've got cans of gasoline, the school has generators that need them. While gas will not be siphoned from cars (which can be used for important supply gathering missions or as barricades), stored gas will be stockpiled to keep the generators running. Those generators are vital to keeping the lights on at night, the radio broadcasting its message (the message which states the highschool is a safe zone); so on, so forth.

Unless you are in the process of leaving the school, or entering it, your fire arms must be handed over to the armory (principal's office and waiting room). This is for the safety of the civilian population; their is no reason for someone who isn't on Guard duty to be carrying a weapon, unless it's because they are heading out or coming back. All weapons are tagged and kept accounted for. Trying to steal a weapon, or being caught with a weapon without one of the aforementioned reasons, will get you expelled. Actually firing off a round for any reason is likely to get you killed. Some circumstances (e.g. a zombie gets onto the perimeter somehow) will be considered "special" and get you a warning.

When returning from outside the school, after checking in your fire arms and any other weapons you might have, you are required to go to the infirmary. A medic there will perform a routine search of your body to check for bites, and you will be asked if you have come in contact with infected blood.

In the event that someone has been infected, they will be placed in a separate part of the school, with other Infected. They will be administered daily doses of Vitamin C, and will have a separate seating area in the cafeteria as well. This is, once again, for the safety of other people.

In NO way beyond what has been stated, will an infected individual be discriminated against, which brings us to the next rule...

Fighting. Verbal or physical. Quit it. This is a big fucking crisis we're dealing with here, the camp needs everyone to keep a cool, level head. If you can't do that, you'll eventually be asked to leave. If you attack a National Guard, you're likely to be outright killed.

If it needs to be pointed out, it will be. The federal and state governments are down. The rules and regulations of the shelter are created by the man leading the National Guard unit. He has genuinely good intentions with these decisions.

These rules and regulations will be told to any new arrivals that come to the school's shelter. If they don't want to agree to it, they are free to leave. If you try to step foot in the school without agreeing, you're going to be considered a threat, and dealt with accordingly.

Their is also a large dry erase board that has these rules printed on it in the cafeteria, as a reminder.
