It is 2 weeks after the outbreak of the Millennial Plague--Plague for short--which causes the recently dead to come back to life. However, they do not come back as they were when they were alive. Instead they return as flesh-craving wretches spreading their vile disease upon the unsuspecting masses.

72 hours after the start of the outbreak in major cities of the world, news media went black. Local stations were either already off the air, or went off the air within 12 hours. The source of the outbreak is unknown to the general populace of survivors and information about it will be even less accessible as methods of communication begin to fail.

The Primary focus starting out are on a group of survivors that have established a camp at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, MA.

Here's a map of the School.

Algonquin Regional Highschool typically served a thousand students in total, this number obviously varying a bit, and it had more than enough facilities and faculty to handle it. Students came from both Northborough and Southborough.

The school has three floors. The first floor has a faculty break room, vice principles office, school psychologist's office, the infirmary (which, at all times, had two nurses on hand, and enough bunk room for 6 people), the cafeteria (which could comfortably seat about 400 students; lunch period was divided into three 20 minute sessions, based off of a student's home room), the kitchen (which was well equipped to handle the sheer volume of students they had to feed), dry storage and walk in freezers in the kitchen itself.

Classrooms on the first floor were Freshman and Sophmore classes for Language Arts, English Literature, British Literature, Mathematics, and History.

The second floor had the science classes for all four years, a library, the principles office, and the Junior and Senior Mathematics, Brit and English Lit classes.

The third floor held the History classes for Seniors and Juniors, as well as all the Advanced Placement classes for all years.

The parking lot of the school can fit 500 cars. Front parking spots were reserved for and filled by teacher cars; the rest of the parking lot was for student drivers.

Their is a half mile long S-shaped driveway to get up to the school itself from the road. The school itself is surrounded on three sides by a half mile of forest, and bordering the forest itself is a six foot tall chainlink fence.

Their is a track and baseball field situated in one area of the school, which is surrounded by a five foot tall chainlink fence. It has bleachers that could seat about 800 in total. The Highschool team was called The Tomahawks. The track for track and running surrounds the football field.

But now, back to the school! The first floor has four double doors made of steel and shattered proof glass. The second floor also has this as a ground level access (split level parking lots). Additionally, the second floor has two shatter proof glass and steel doors that lead directly to the cafeteria (for in case of fire or other emergencies). The third floor has no direct exits, unless you count the windows.

Their are four stairwells set up in the NW, SW, NE, SE corners of the school. Their is also an elevator along the north side of the school, near to the nurse's station, which goes up and down to all floors.
