As with any Zombie Tale you need to know what type of Zombies you're facing.

Almost all zombies are Shamblers--typical, slow-moving zombies from Romero movies. Runners exist, but they are always zombies that have just recently died and did not suffer a lot of damage to their legs. However after 6-8 hours their bodies begin to reach a state of decomposition that Runners become Shamblers, and join the ranks of their slower brethren.

Zombies behave, in many ways, like the zombies from Walking Dead since so many of them by this point are Shamblers. They're slow, attracted to loud noises, can be fooled by survivors who smell like zombie, and are easily out maneuvered. However, they do have a tendency to swarm and surround survivors which is when they truly become lethal for survivors that aren't paying attention.

The infection is passed via contact with bodily fluids and an open wound (i.e. a zombie spits in an open wound and you get infected). Infection can also be passed via scratches and sexual contact. Bites are particularly nasty because of the built up bacteria within the zombie's mouth. It's equivalent to being bitten by a Komodo dragon. However a bite is not necessarily fatal if properly cleaned.

NOTE: If you are infected you can survive with said infection by managing it using Vitamin C supplements. However, this knowledge is not known by many individuals.

If you or someone needs to play the Zombies you can use the Zombies handle. All you need is the information in this profile and you'll be all set to play a couple zombies or a horde. Do not abuse this handle. ASK players BEFORE bringing this handle into a scene.

Brutes are very unique and rare. They occur when a zombie consumes massive amounts of food--food in zombie terms being, of course, humans but also includes other warm-blooded animals. The zombie becomes a truly massive behemoth. It is not like the Tank in L4D that looks like Lou Ferrigno after waking up. Instead it looks a bit more like a Boomer from L4D, minus the vomit. Due to it's massive size and weight it can be incredibly strong and difficult to take down. Though they are incredibly slow, and dull. They can reach a higher speed if given enough time and space to accelerate that much through sheer momentum. If you're able to get out of the view of a Brute for about a minute or so you will usually be able to make a clean getaway from their rage.

As such Brutes are incredibly dangerous when you have their attention but getting away from them evens the score a bit.. unless you're in a wide open area.

If you need to play a Brute for an rp you can use a community handle that's been created called "Bruce the Brute". All you need is the information in this profile and you'll be all set to play a brute. Due to the strength of the zombie, be cool and ASK players you want to play with before using this handle.

Cryers are slightly like Witches from L4D in that instead of the normal zombie moaning they tend to cry.. loudly. So loud that other zombies flock to them, but if a Cryer is stationary they tend to notice the Cryer isn't food and just lazily stay around. This makes Cryer's especially dangerous not just for their deceptive crying that can draw survivors in, but due to the danger survivors face once they get close to the Cryer. A typical Cryer encounter goes like this Survivors hear Cryer, head to it, get close, then if they're not careful get surrounded by nearby zombies and thus increase the number of zombies around the Cryer.
