[Delete] | Rules WILL be enforced. REMEMBER: Its just a game, its not real, its supposed to be FUN. IF/WHEN there is a problem in the room, we request you contact a Mod or an Admin to take care of the problem. Do Not take matters into your own hands.
1.No God-Moding: If your character can't do it, then you can't make your character do it.
2.No OOC arguing: This room is for fun and RP. If you have a problem with someone, take it to AIM or use the message system. Do Not continue the argument further in the room or bring it up at any other time at a later date. It will get you kicked out of the room for a "time out" if you continue to argue.
3.No Ignoring the Admin Staff. This will result in an automatic temp ban from the room. This is one thing that will not be tolerated at any time. The Ignore feature is activated in the room. Use It Only if someone is being extremely annoying. This Excludes the Admins.
4. No Use of OOC knowledge IC: If your character doesn't know it (even though you do or its in their profile as OOC info), he/she better not use it IC. If that happens, that RP will be nulled or modified if someone complains.
5. OOC Banter: On occassion there is some that happens but for the most part; If rp is going on...try to keep it to a minimum. If someone complains, have respect and stop.
6. If for some Bizzarre reason your charcter is killed, No bitching if you do die. Characters die, it happens. This gives you a chance to make or play an even more glorious character who rocks.
7. There will be NO OOC discussion of politics, religious beliefs or of military service in the room. Out of respect to others take it to PM's or AIM!
8. The Admins are not George W. Bush. There is no such thing as the "No RPer left behind" policy. If you happen to feel left out of an RP, find/make another one or find a better way to get involved. Do not complain to the Admins. We dont want to hear it. We are not here to hold your hand or help you figure out how to get involved either.
9. The Admins are RPer's too. Do NOT harrass us because we tend to play with some more than others. We have the right to play with WHO WE CHOOSE WHEN WE CHOOSE TO DO SO. Again.. it is not the job of the Admin staff to hold your hand and think of ways for YOU to get involved.
10. If too many Mutant characters are applied for, a Cap will be imposed for regging of those characters. Its strongly suggested that you look for a Canon character from Marvel or DC to rp.
11. Modifying your Custom characters exisiting profiles. If it is to only update the history, this is fine. BUT if you modify your characters abilities, you will be seriously questioned about it and more than likely told to revert it back. You need to ask before altering character, if you can do so or not and have a good reason for doing such.
12: There is nothing anywhere that says the admins have to contact you on a personal messaging service that is not hosted by PJJ.CC. The most an admin has to do is honor you in the chat room itself, on terms of the rules. If that means PM them? Then you do so. Do not start a fuss in the room and argue. Take it to PMs.
13. And under NO circumstances will comments about hurting any animals tolerated in the room.
14.The Main Admins of the room DO lurk about. Just because you don't see us RPing in the room on a regular basis, does NOT mean we are not doing our Admin duties. As stated in an earlier rule, we RP when, where and with who we want.
And I'm sure there will be more, as things come up.

[Delete] | CANON CHARACTERS:
First off, when applying for a Canon character, there will be a trial period of 2 weeks. This is to see if you are capable of rping the Canon character properly. Within that time frame, if you are seen not rping that character correctly, something will be said to you and you are given a chance to try and fix it and fall into character.
After the 2 week trial period, if the admins deem you worthy, the character will be given to you. If not, we will tell you why you were denied the character.
This is IMPORTANT: If at Any time, you are caught rping a Canon character incorrectly, you will be informed immediately and given a chance to fix yourself. If you continuely mess up rping that character true to its form, it will be removed from you.
This is to prevent any further complaints from either other rpers or the admin staff.
If a Canon Character is inactive for 2 months, it will be given away to someone who is willing to play that character.
Also the Admins will not chase you down to remind you to play your canon characters. Nor will we warn you if you are in danger of losing your canon character to inactivity. If you want to keep the canon character, you must play that character. This will also go for custom characters too.
And coming in and doing OOC posts or one liners under that handle, do not suffice in keeping your character. Canon's must be rp'd out.
CHARACTER PROFILES:
If you have or create a custom character, it is Mandatory for you to put up a profile for that character within 1 week of it being registered.
Profiles for Canon characters must be put up within 2 weeks of the character being registered to you as well.
This is to prevent any future arguments about what any character is capable of doing, especially customs. Profiles MUST be detailed, have character history AND that includes listing weaknesses for the character.

[Delete] | As with most canon characters, they have a secret identity. ie: Superman is secretly Clark Kent
IF/When you register a character and you register both of their names, you will be expected to RP both handles equally.
Now I know some of the players already do this. Some don't.
If you only play one handle of a duel identity character the most, the lesser one played will be deleted.
It is the responsibility of the Admin staff, when registering canon characters, to double check the userlist for characters with known duel names.

[Delete] | What to do if you are a true beginning RPer (aka known as a newb).
READ EVERYTHING ON THE MESSAGE BOARD.
Here are some guidelines to follow:
1) JUST WATCH THE RP'S FIRST. Get an idea on how things are done in the room.
2) Get in contact with an Admin of the room right away. We will usually ask for your AIM handle and talk to you over that.
3) You Will have to play a custom character first before you will be allowed to apply for a canon character. You must learn how to rp first. Again, contact an Admin to help you if you need it.
4) Apply for an OOC (out of character) handle first. This is usually a nick name for you. Then apply for a custom character.
5) Don't just throw random thoughts and actions out into the room, that will get the other players upset with you.
6) Don't be afraid to ask for help. Some players are nice and will coach you, some won't. Don't get upset.
7) Be very aware that many of the other players in the room have been doing this for a long time, just try and ignore their razzing of you. Its going to happen. If it gets to be too much, contact an Admin and let them know you are having trouble.
8) Don't get upset if you can't get any RP action or if anyone refuses to help you. Many players don't have the patience or time to be bothered in training or helping out a newbie.

| On Admins Questioning or Arguments |

[Delete] | When a member of the Administrative staff of Xinst asks a player a question about a character, it is BETWEEN the Admin and Player. Not the admin and everyone else. This goes for Player to Player questioning. If you where not asked about something involving a character, please stay out of the conversations. It does not concern you. And if you have a concern about something, speak with the admins over one of the many instant messenger systems, or PM them in the chat.
We had a complication due to people involving themselves in conversations that they where not asked to join. Hence the reason for this message.
Please, stay out of the Questioning unless asked for your input.

[Delete] | Alright...this has been brought to my attention. And this is the final word on the matter:
We, the Admins and Mods of the room, do not need to have every tiny little problem brought to us.
If you have a problem with another RPer in the room; Try To Solve It Amongst Yourselves First!
IF and only IF a easy solution is not made for your tiny problem...contact a Mod or one of the Admins as a last resort.
We are not here to hold your hand through every little problem you have. |
