Deep jungle in a secluded area. Central dwellings are within a large trees, hundreds of years old with sturdy branches that support the homes built in it. Other dwellings are spread out over two miles of forest. Beyond three miles of the central area belongs to the jungle.
Species
Elf. Another species has never made it into their enclave.
Fact of life
Females are physically stronger in his species. Males are faster and crafty.
Check&Balance
Every female is given a simple gold chain on her 10th birthday. The chain wraps securely around her waist and is unbreakable unless the male breaking it is her fated male. This chain has the power to control the female wearing it absolutely. Those already chained are forbidden to speak of it to younger females and they are not told the purpose of the chain until their 16th birthday when they can begin looking for a mate.
