Elizabeth LeBeau 1:59am, January 20, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | does that rule of privacy also go to Aim MSN ICQ Yahoo or any messager converastions had between two people and then posted on JJ without ones consent? |
| Hm.. |
Jezral 2:28pm, January 20, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | The short answer: No.
The longer answer:
AIM/MSN/etc (IM) are not Project JJ services, so I can't tell anyone what they can do with their IM conversations.
It is up to the people in the conversation to set limits as to what the participants can do with it, just like you wouldn't publish a letter without the author's consent.
I'd say it's extremely impolite to publish such conversations, though. If it was done multiple times, and all without consent, then I might intervene, but by then the people should know not to trust the publisher.
Pasting a conversation is a good way to lose a friend.
