There will be no immediate questions taken, but anything you would like to know can be directed to my office, where I will answer it as fully and as clearly as I possibly can. My name is Dr. Akihito Mamoru, head of the Genetic Upgrade & Acceleration Research Division laboratories, or more commonly known as "G.U.A.R.D. Labs". For years, we have proven to be the leading experts in understanding the genetics and abilities of metahumans. Through science, we aim to imform the public so as to reduce ignorant hate crimes against Metas. Through science, we aim to help Metas understand their differences and control their abilities, thus leading to fewer Metas feeling like outcasts and turning to crime rather than helping society. It is because of these true goals, that I am honorbound to warn the public. It has come to our attention that a former employee, Dr. Darren Brandei, has been engaging in what I can only describe as crimes against humanity. Dr. Brandei was a blood & tissue research analyst at one of GUARD Labs' off-site facilities. Dr. Brandei has been conducting illegal genetic experimentation on metahumans subjects who had been abducted and held captive. The details of experiments conducted often lead to or involved acts such as isolation, torture, poisoning, and death. One future study even involved forced in-vitro fertilization of female Metas to produce offspring with new abilities. It has also been discovered that Dr. Brandei had covered up his past regarding unauthorized Meta-experimentation which lead him to be fired from a hospital where previously employed. I urge all people to contact your local authorities if you see this man or hear any information regarding his whereabouts. Also, we have pictures of all known associates of Dr. Brandei. We will be providing all this information to national media networks and all law enforcement. Current and future patients of GUARD Labs, both metahuman and human alike, can rest assured that their personal information is kept safe because every patient is given an "ID Number" which is used for all paperwork and samples. The personal information and ID Numbers are kept in a completely isolated department and system to maintain the highest level of privacy. I personally believe in the unity of this world, and I would dishonor myself and GUARD Labs if I had kept this information private. I hope that this does not deter anyone from participating in regulated and voluntary research being conducted at GUARD Labs. [Delete] | *A break in frequencies of normal radio transmissions would usher this message to the public, more so aimed at Metahumans than anything else. * We are the undeniable future of this world… Every day, more and more of our kind are born into a world that hates them, fears them, forces them to the outskirts of society because we, metahumans, pose the greatest threat to their continued dominance of this world. They look upon us and tremble… They fear what they cannot understand and that drives them to their most base instinct…an instinct that has guided them for millennia. The instinct to destroy. Since mankind first walked the earth, it has bowed before the baser instincts of it’s species. Seeking not to co-habitate with the creatures around it, but to enslave them. To dominate them. When mankind finally managed to master it’s environment, then it was itself that it sought to destroy. Billions have died throughout history because of mankind’s fear. Fear rationalized and packaged as religious right, benevolent intent, or even nationalistic pride. Mankind is surely the greatest of monsters, and now, as we come forth from the darkness, it sets it’s fangs upon us. Religious leaders speak of us as unclean demons, scientists consider us genetic flukes… but the truth is that we are the future, and humanity is obsolete. Some of us have tried to play by humanities rules, live as second class citizens within it’s nations…undergo experimentation to be “Fixed”. Our misguided brothers assume that the only way to try and change things within this world is to play by the rules mankind has set before them. However, humanity will not be swayed by words, will not peer into what we are and realize it’s own inadequacies. No, they will respond to us as they have every other threat, with violence, destruction…hate. They will seek to crush us, to wipe us out as we continue to grow. However, we will not wait to be exterminated. We will not sit idly by as mankind attempts to exert it’s outdated dominance. We are the future, and we will respond to humanities’ aggression in the only way that humanity truly understands. With force. We will fight humanity as the most dire of enemies, because that Is what it is. An enemy. Humanity has long proven it’s in-ability to peacefully co-exist with even itself, expecting it to rise to a level of civility that would allow it to co-exist with us is pointless. We urge all our meta brothers and sisters to rise with us, to put down their shackles and take up arms. Join the cause of the Meta Liberation Front.
