Nix 3:54am, January 23, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | The setting: The Planet Vallera, 23 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin), roughly a year after the recovery of Outbound Flight by the New Republic.
It has been several years since since the end of the Galactic Civil War, but can a lasting peace truly exist after being at war for so long? The healing process has begun, but one must wonder... Have the war machines truly stopped? And what of the mysterious whispers of a new foe in Chiss Space? It may well be that the galaxy is in the calm before the storm.
Tides of War: Thundering Twilight.
Vallera is a temperate world near Hutt Space, in the Vallera system.
The world is some 80% water, and is volcanically active. In the Northern Hemisphere of the planet is the world’s sole, and largest settlement. Neo Vallera was the world’s first colony. Most of the world remains unexploited in terms of agriculture.
There are rumors of numerous bases founded by Black Sun, the notorious criminal organization. Its direct rivals, the Hutt Syndicate and the Black Nebula are present as well. It might seem a political powder-keg, and indeed, it is.
The government is superficial. It is suspected that Black Sun runs things here.
In Neo Vallera, there is a bar known as the Tides. Its rumored that any drink in the known universe can be found there.
Recently, during an (rumored to be unauthorized) Imperial orbital bombardment regarding the capture of the feared leader of Black Sun (Reputed to be one, Kesjiu Pvutn). A quartor of one portion of town lay in near complete devestation, while hangers all about the remainder of the city lay in waist.
To the South of Vallera, one can find sprawling grasslands, fertile for farming. Further South, a mountain range known as the Ruby Range spots upward, some volcanically active, and reaching near 17,000 feet.
Due East of the city, one can find the bluffs and beaches to the ocean.
West sports a large decidious forest, which curves around north of the town as well.
