Update on one PC in particular

It'd been ten long years and things didn't seem like they'd gotten any easier. Life still was the usual mess of problems that arose, like 'am I gonna be able to put food on the table? Or am I gonna have to resort to stealing it?' and so many others like it. Questions like these plagued Wes's mind as his bike tore it's way across the street with a graveyard in the horizon. Many who'd lost their lives due to the war had been buried here. Wes wasn't the most personable type so he hadn't found himself hanging around with too many personal friends.

All except one in particular that is.

Parking his bike at the gates of the cemetery, Wes motioned for Umbreon and Espeon to stay in the sidecar. He had to go through this himself. As he approached the gate however, he'd see that it was locked. He'd come too late and missed the window for visiting hours. No matter.

"Espeon, psychic."

The gem atop the cat-like pokemon's head began to glow as the lock was ripped straight off. Landing at Wes's feet as little more than scrap metal. "Thanks." Pushing open the gate, Wes let it close behind him as he started on down the path. If he was caught, he'd surely get an earful about how he should respect other's people property and other such guff. But Wes wasn't focused on the consequences of the here and now. His mind had drifted back to the consequences of a past mistake.

Passing many gravestones likely with their own stories to tell, Wes stopped before one headstone. With his jacket blowing in the wind, Wes pushed up his visor as he looked down at it. The date and last name had been grown over by foilage, preventing one from reading it. Though the first name was still clear and that's all Wes needed.

"Hey Rui. Been a while, huh? Sorry it took me so long."

The pokemon watched sadly as their master and friend took his time at his former companion's grave. Every other week or so, Wes made it a personal quest to head up here and spend some time mourning the loss of his friend. A loss that he felt didn't have to happen and unlike the other deaths which may have just seemed like a statistic? This one was personal.
