Neo Tokyo is divided into twelve districts based on the Japanese Zodiac. There are a few subdivisions as well. Please to be reading this post so that you know where you're posting in town when you RP off Campus. I don't have (and probably never will unless someone gets ambitious and makes one for me) a map, but I will represent the twelve districts by clock faces. The subdistrict of Phoenix is in the ultimate center of town and is the heart of government. NOTE: There are residences in every district, some just have a lot more than others.

Nezumi (Rat) 3 O'clock: The Docks, and a poor part of town with a lot of barely maintained tenements. A lot of hard working people live here, eking by their livings, but it is also poor, so crime is not low.

-> Troll Market: More entrances to the Troll Market are here than any other district.

Ushi (Ox) 4 O'clock: A stark difference from the Nezumi District, the Ushi District has sprawling buildings that go out more than up. Parks and community gardens are everywhere. Ushi is the agricultural district of Neo Tokyo.

Tora (Tiger) 5 O'Clock: The Tiger District is largely a residential district. Small family businesses, and the usual ever-present and needed restaurants are here, but not much in the way of 'big' business shows up in this middle income part of town.

Usagi (Rabbit) 6 O'Clock: The Usagi District is, by contrast, all about big business. Gambling houses (those that are allowed, and secret ones) abound here, as well as banks, pawn shops, and all sorts of mercantile. What little residential in this district is largely the people who work in the district, usually small apartments above their businesses in the old Medieval style.

Tatsu (Dragon) 7 O'Clock: If Usagi is the money center of town, the power center is Tatsu. Estates, large homes, and even a golf course or two adorn this part of town. Some people joke that it costs 50 NuYen to even walk on the streets of Tatsu. Phoenix is a subdistrict of Tatsu.

-> Phoenix: The Civic Center is here, several hundred stories in height and majestic. This entire area is almost entirely centered around the operations of the city, and of course, feeding and entertaining the gears of bureaucracy.

Hebi (Snake) 8 O'Clock: The Snake District takes after Old Tokyo. The buildings aren't quite as tall and pretty, they have a lot of natural materials in them, and the Old Ways (an answer to what the Old Ways are will get you a different answer every time) are abided by here. The Oni District is a subdistrict of Hebi.

-> Oni: The "Supernatural" community of Neo Tokyo mainly reside here. Mages, Vampires, Werewolves and the like. They keep largely to themselves and are a very close-knit group. Outsiders are scrutinized carefully.

Uma (Horse) 9 O'Clock: The Spaceport is located in Uma District, and almost all off-world imports and exports arrive here. Hotels abound, as do all sorts of shops for curiosities from across the Galaxy. Neo Tokyo High School itself is in Uma District.

Hitsuji (Sheep) 10 O'Clock: Most Museums and Art Galleries in Neo Tokyo are in Hitsuji District, as well as many smaller homes and apartments, largely populated by the most artistically inclined of Neo Tokyo.

Saru (Monkey) 11 O'Clock: What Gambling doesn't take place in Usagi, takes place in Saru. But the main feature of Saru is twofold. The Carnival and Neo Tokyo Mall. If there's a way for people to spend money on entertainment, you'll find it in Saru District.

-> EnormaBurger: The erstwhile hangout for many Neo Tokyo High Schoolers is within the Neo Tokyo Mall.

Tori (Rooster) 12 O'Clock: Tori is where the ever watchful JDF have their military base, and the population and function of the entire district is to support the troops and their machines. Seeing a Mecha walk the streets is commonplace in Tori.

Inu (Dog) 1 O'Clock: Another mid-to-low income area, mainly residential. Warehouses and factories spot Inu as well. If there's trouble in town, it's most likely not in Inu, which is one of the safest (or boring if you like danger) parts of town.

Inoshishi (Boar) 2 O'Clock: Neo Tokyo's biggest Hospital is here, and science abounds. Research labs, Technology companies and other cutting edge businesses are featured in this part of town, which also boasts very large apartment arcologies, housing many of Neo Tokyo's middle class.
