Trapped within the Shattered Soul of Karu Kazesuta
Keieishi is a being composed of living shadows. She is Karu's 'shadow'. and has limited/restricted access to the same plane as her Other. As such, they are part one in the same, and the cat will protect her if she senses mortal danger. Kei knows what Karu knows, being that she is her shadow, memories are shared one way but limited the other.
She is incapable of pulling herself out of her 'prison' completely, so the requirement of someone attuned to the shadows is needed in order to call on her. Also, Karu must be at death's door in order for the Cat to have a firmer hold on her reality. As this will force her to physically manifest herself by shadow tendrils...and make it easier for her to escape..
She has extended parts of herself in moments when Karu is in mortal, or near to, danger. She is ..selective of when this happens. As there had been times when her life is on the line and she just choses not to help.
The small red gem upon her forehead is by no means decorative, it as the jewel that makes her whom she is, and the one that Karu embedded into the palm of her hand which willed the cat to be. As such, it is the source of her being, thusly also her weakness, but not many are privy to this information and merely mistake it for decoration. It provides an overall protectant against those that wish to control her, conversely, the power of the living shadow also 'eats' the enchantment, thereby absolute control is a moot point as it would fail anyway.
Sentient, poisonous, tendrils. Will devour all energy, regardless of source. Slowly poison victim by eating their 'life force', transferred via exchange of bodily fluids, bite, or stabbing with the tendrils. Only a Kaishi can remove the blight. They are not magical in nature, as they are a 'living being'. Nullification will be void. Shadowmancers are incapable of 'controlling' them. Appears as black, nearly translucent thick or thin tendrils, latching onto their target. She feels what they feel. They are not 'magical'. They latch onto magical items/energies like tar, and will stick on till it's devoured, or she takes it for herself (In the case of physical objects)
~ Shadow Slipping ~
Way of traveling through the shadow realm through casted shadows. Near instant.
Often called the Living Shadows, the Kaishi reside the what is called the Shadow Realm. It is easily traveled by their kind. It is their world, where they live in complete peace. From there they can go to any place they wish to go to, merely by the use of shadows. Long ago there did exist many Kaishi, but over time, and with an unexpected attack by their mortal enemies the Kashoku(Living Light), they have died out to the point of being endangered. Now, their only live four of their kind.
The remaining four are very protective of their shadow realm, and often keep to themselves, only helping others that need it when they want to.They don't care for the rest of the world, and even it was being destroyed, they would possibly not help at all. So long as it doesn't threaten their world, they don't bother with it.
Their power comes from the shadows, pure shadow energy is what they often use in their attacks.
Pure shadow energy is represented by a purplish color, and it can come in the three forms of matter-gas, liquid, solid. Depending on the situation the Kaishi will use either one of the forms. This type of energy, in its liquid form, is poisonous and deadly, if it gets into the target's blood system, or body, they are considered dead. There is only one cure, which they Kaishi hold secret.
Ookami, represented by the wolf, is the leader of the Kaishi. Cold hearted at times, he tends to be the one that keeps the others out of the business of the Outside world. He is also the most powerful.
Ichiwa, an avian, she is the calmest of the four, and also the most ruthless. She, like Ookami, could care less about the other worlds other than the Shadow Realm. She'd gladly watch someone who needed help die than to interfere.
Tatsudoshi, a dragon, he lives to fight, enjoying every bit of a battle. He often does interfere with the enemies of the Outside world, but only does so for the fight and nothing else. He simply walks away after winning the fight, leaving the outsider to die.
Kyattusai, a feline, he is the carefree one of the group, while he does share their feelings about the Outside World, he will, when he feels like it help and outside.
Keieishi(Keishinkae) her crystal was shattered in the attack by the Kashoku, she is the younger sister to Kyattusai. In an attempt to save her life her gem was sent to the Outside World where it was eventually found by a curious fiery orange haired girl. Thus giving the shadow feline another lease on life.. albeit seemingly limited.
