Basically, this is a place on the board where you can post gossip, murmurs, something going around town that everyone should know. Its a little easier and faster than writing out articles or telling everyone individually what is going on. |

Reviving this thread with a bit of fun about town gossip. So remember, your character could have just overheard these sort of things in Starbucks or Bliss or where ever:
We got the fact that Tawny and Gwen were involved with in a sex tape scandal with none other than Colin Farrell (who is in town shooting a movie)
A prop from said movie went completely haywire in Bliss so Kelly and Connor had to take it down.
There is a certain green guy with horns hanging around Bliss thought to be from the movie. He sings really well so he must be classically trained.
The Angel Investigations offices were badly burned in a fire so its going to take a while before they can be rebuilt.
There have been a rash of grizzly robberies in the area where the owners of small Mom-and-Pop type shops, with no cameras or security, have been brutually murdered and then all of their money from safes/registers taken. Sometimes, merchandise is missing too.
Jonathan Montgomery hasn't been dealing very well with his wife death. Seems he has locked himself up in his house, only coming out to barely go to work for a few hours. Some suspect he might be drinking again. |

Haskins Fine Jewelry was robbed last night. The perp or perps managed to disable the alarms and cameras from the exterior and went inside. They took everything short of the kitchen sink. (Just because it was too bulky). Outside however, there seemed to be a struggle. There are two different blood types on the sidewalk. Fingerprints at the scene don't match any on file. (Unless Buffy wants the Bot to leave Buffy prints)
And oh yeah, in case anyone didn't know, Wolfram and Hart is evil. :) |

We have two cops that went missing after a routine public disturbance call to a Wolfram and Hart owned building. While they will probably spin it that Officer Cami O'Neill and Officer Saul Cleary ran off together, the real truth is only known to a handful. And they ain't talking. |

Connor has been busted out the cage he was being held in at the Wyndam-Pryce place. Also, an electric fire broke out, burning part of the house. Several items inside were destroyed and even more robbed.

A motion has been filed by Wolfram and Hart regarding the validity of their claim for guardianship of the minor child, Ivy Cordelia Pryce. Court date is set for next week for pre-trial motions.
Ivy, though, is already missing from the Burkle home in Texas. Where she is, is anyone's guess. Local authorities ain't talking and if people did their jobs right, Trish Burkle shouldn't remember.

Last night, police suspect around midnight, Petland was broken into. The back door entrance was blown open, security system was destroyed, and all the cats awaiting adoption were taken. Along with all the money that was in the company safe awaiting deposit for the next morning. Police estimate about ten thousand dollars in cash was taken and about a dozen cats. |

[Delete] | Last night, police suspect around three to four am, Jim's Casa de Pets was broken into. The robbers broke down the front door and cleaned the shop out of every kitten. The money in the register was also taken. Sadly, Jim's had no security system to capture the images of the perps. Police estimate about a thousand dollars in cash was taken and about fifteen cats. |

Earlier this morning, the Ventura County Humane Society was vandalised and robbed. The entire back of the building was destroyed by what police believe was a small bomb. The perps entered through the hole and stole not only the small safe but every kitten the humane society current had available for adoption.
Police believe that this is just another in a string of robberies and animal theft. They are suspecting cult activity at this time. |

[Delete] | Sometime, around 3pm PST on Saturday February 25, 2006, the City of St. Solanus enacted pollution measures by spraying a fine mist of detoxifier to the air. Citizens should not be alarmed. The mist is harmless and in fact, smells like mint. The process will be repeated again on Sunday February 26, 2006 at the same time.
(Or at least, this is what citizens should believe. In reality, it was the antidote for the love spell. If you have any characters who were outside or well, breathing today or tomorrow, they have been cured. In addition, Angel snuck into the water treatment plant before dawn and dosed the water supply with the antidote. So any drinking of the town's water in the next week will cure your character as well. There are no effects for those who were not exposed to the love spell) |

[Delete] | Last night a small antique shop went up in flames. Reports say that it was not an act of larceny and was in fact a loose gas valve. When a bad light bulb socket flickered, it was apparently enough to begin the fire. Unfortunately everything was completely burned, including all records and files, as Ms. Crutherbee's living quarters were overhead. it is with deep regret that she did not make it out in time and was killed by the fire. St. Solanus will grieve for her greatly. A public wake will be held two days from now for those that wish to see her off. |

Kelly Slater and Connor Riley have been naughty bunnies this Easter. Earlier in the week, they snuck into Angel's bathroom and replaced his beloved hair gel with a different kind of gel, one that would dye his hair pink. It took a few days but when he woke up Sunday morning, his hair was bright pink. Really pink! Like this guy. His hair is going to be pink for at least a couple of days but the dye does wash out.
They were going to sneak into Spike's crypt to replace his hair gel with green dye gel but they were NOT successful. There just wasn't enough time or opportunity since Connor had to go to LA. |

The Brotherhood was formed in the early ninth century AD after Pre-Colombian Mayan society had started to decline. It was believed that members of a small splinter faction split off from the Kowoj group began to see the decline as displeasure of the Gods. They began to pray to Vucub Caquix, the Mayan God of Death, to deliver them from their suffering. While most other Mayans practiced bloodletting, the Brothers perform ritualistic sacrifices of the strongest and most able bodied men they could find. Most Mayans believed that blood was a gift to the gods, and royal blood or warrior blood, was the most cherished above all.
Reports indicate that Vucub Caquix answered their pleas. He rose up from the Underworld, sending a drought that ripped across the Yucatan, killing countless numbers of Mayans. Not satisfied with the blood of his own people, Vucub Caquix spread a wave of freezing cold over Europe. It took fifteen priests of Huracan to create a vessel strong enough to hold Vucub Caquix. With Vucub Caquix capture, this vessel was buried somewhere in the modern day Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
Many of the original Brotherhood fled to other regions of the Yucatan, taking refuge with other Mayan tribes. It was believed that members passed the traditions and rituals of their demon god onto their sons, who then passed it on to their sons. One such noted son helped to lead the rebellion against Mayapan in 1450 that dissolved all of the Yucatan lowlands into city states, making the Spanish invasion that much easier.
After the arrival of the Spanish and Christianity, reports state that the Brotherhood disappeared completely. The only known record that they even existed were oral histories. However, in 1695, during the Spanish's attempts to conquer the Itza Kingdom, a missionary named Father Ignatius Salvado met with one of the last practicing members of the Brotherhood. Fascinated by the customs and rituals, he recorded the oral history. Many believe that this last follower was a practicer of serious dark magic and put a spell on the old monk to force him to record every detail. This book has never been recovered.
In the modern age, very little has been heard of the Brotherhood. Like so many other demon worshipping groups, there always appears to be a small faction that tries to practice the rituals and incantations. However, few seem to survive past a few months and disband quickly. |

An unnamed surrogate gave birth to twin girls on May 5th for Caleb and Livvie Morley. The girls' names are Grace and Rachel.
Angel Investigations has a new official pet. A little baby bunny named BunBun that Buffy rescued from becoming an appetizer.
Ruth Burkater was injured in the course of the wildfire but was rescued by a mysterious man. She is in the hospital. |

A few little tidbits.
The house that was once owned by Charmaine Brooks but now owned by Zach Slater, has suffered fire damage due to the wildfire. There was structual damage that caused the house to collapse in on itself in places.
Also, during one of these collapses, Charmaine Brooks was trapped under falling debris. She is currently unconscious and in St. Solanus Hospital. Her daughter Nadine, who was with her at the time, is unharmed. Aside from emotional damage. |

Their adopted daughters Molly and Erica were the flower girls and newborn son Luke was the ring bearer. Dr. Eric Solanus served as best man. Bridesmaids included Rachel Montgomery (Jon's sister), Dr. Justine Brooks (Amy's friend), Daneel (Amy's friend) and Dr. Bianca Ward (Jon's friend).
The couple is back in St. Solanus and planning to honeymoon later in the year. |
