[Delete] We are going to use Dirty's suggestion of doing some different pairings. Only putting our own fun twist to it.

Now, the source is going to be mystical in nature. So more stuff for the AI team to figure out. However, anyone can participate. Something will be delivered to a character which will start the events into motion.

Basically its going to work like Cupid's arrow. It will affect memory and drive. Patient Zero will think they are madly in love with Person X. One Patient Zero kisses Person X, they will think they are in love with either Patient Zero or someone else entirely. It could be really hilarious to say the least. And who doesn't love knocking boots under mystical influences.

[Delete] Also, this is happening in present time. This is happening NOW. This is mystical. However, this WILL be affecting storylines. What happens between the pairings is up to you and the other player. What happens after is up to you. But this should affect the current pairings, if nothing more than a "hey, we were all under the spell" thing to something more serious of a breakup or mistrust.

[Edit]
[Delete] Okay, so a few people have come to me and they are a little confused about how this spell is going to work so I am going to explain it. While it was Dirty's idea to do this, I did work out the specifics so I know how the spell is going to work. After the little "rules", I will put up an example of what could happen.

1. The spell is transfered through kissing. Your character doesn't get kissed by someone infected, they aren't infected.
2. It doesn't alter their personality. If you character is shy and withdrawn, they will still be shy and withdrawn. That means that they might not end up kissing anyone to pass it along.
3. Alterations of memory would be that if they were in love with Bob, those memories would now make them think they are in love with Steve. Its not going to make them forget its Tuesday or they like strawberry jello.
4. HOWEVER, this spell does heighten the libido. Sort of the equivelent of Spanish Fly or lower inhibitions like a couple of drinks. Its a fail-safe for the creator to make sure that it gets spread around. BUT, it will not turn your character into a sex-crazed maniac. (Unless they already are. I am looking at you, Wes and Fred. And Chuck, Mr. 83 kids with 83 different broads) If your character had often dreamt about doing such and such, now they are more apt to do it (or who!)
5. Everyone has the right to refuse a pairing if they feel uncomfortable. So if you character is trying to mack on someone that does not want to be macked on, too bad. We aren't in the business of putting people in situations they don't want.
6. IF you want to suggest it goes further than kissing, that is between you and the other player. Kissing is all that is needed to infect someone so in reality, that is all that is needed. As usual, PG-13 rules apply to the room.

So let's get on to the example. We have a few players: Aubrey and Warren, who are both impulsive types. Jayne and Mavin, little more reserved. Trish and Anton, middle of the road people.

Now Aubrey is Patient Zero. She is the first person that is infected with the spell. Her and Mavin used to have a thing, some years ago. Suddenly, because of the spell, Aubrey decides that yes! They were soulmates and she should have never let him get away. Being impulsive, she kisses Mavin. Passing the spell to him. Now Mavin is pretty reserved but hell, when she kisses him, he feels like she is right. So he kisses her right on back. And you know what happens next.

Mavin's got to go home sometime. When he does, well he does live with Jayne. Simple hello kiss from her and she is infected, he is confused. He wants to be with Aubrey. Meanwhile, Aubrey is off at Bliss, chatting it up with Trish. She figures, hey, I have never done the girl girl thing before. So an innocent dance with Trish turns into a full scale bump and grind. But Trish feels strange so no kiss. Trish stays uninfected for now.

Jayne is the reserved type so instead of going out and meeting someone to pass the spell too, she stays locked up at home, wondering why all the people she loves, doesn't love her back. Jayne doesn't infect anyone else. Mavin, while reserved, does run into another one of his past affections in Bliss. A moonlight walk and a goodnight kiss on the doorstep transfers the spell to unknowning town bike, Ophelia. And she just goes buck wild because she always has!

Now, once the spell is taken care of, this is when the real drama is going to start. Does Aubrey think that Mavin was serious about getting together? Does Trish explore a new side to her sexuality? Does Jayne realize that this was mystical and forgives Mavin. And what about Warren?

I hope that this clears it up for everyone and if not, please, IM me. Mike does not know about this spell. Its all me and my idea. Just keep in mind that this spell doesn't change the basic dynamic of your character and you will be fine. :)

I talked to our control person last night, the one that will be unaffected and will work on the antidote. They will probably start working on the antidote soonish.

So that means we probably have another week, give or take, for this plot. Mike and I are going to start the Five Questions of it either tomorrow or this weekend. As in, why is this happening? Who is behind it? How did they do it? etc.

If anyone wants to be involved in the whole finding of the antidote, perferably someone who is not affected, contact me and I will put you in contact with the control character. They are staying a relative secret for now until we reveal why they are the control and who they are.

Basically, if you want your char to get infected, you have a week. So IM or PM someone who is infected and see if they are down. Just keep in mind the specifics of the spell. :)

(I cleaned the topic up somewhat)

Okay, this is the last call. If your character has not been infected yet and you want them to be infected, you have until Friday. That is it. Cause the antidote should be done and administered by this weekend. Yes, by this weekend. Get scenes played out and storylines going ASAP.

Also, if you have a character that was infected off screen, you have to let us know. In addition, any relationships that might have been talked about over AIM or happened off screen, just need a little note. Can be either IC or OOC. And you need to make sure you clear it with the other player. You can't just say "Oh yeah, well Caleb and Gerri, totally had sex cause I said so." Nope. Sorry.

Again, not going to force anyone into anything they don't feel comfortable with. The list of infected is up there. You want to participate in this plot, IM or PM someone. Got until Friday cause come Monday, everyone will be cured. :)

Sometime, around 3pm PST on Saturday February 25, 2006, the City of St. Solanus enacted pollution measures by spraying a fine mist of detoxifier to the air. Citizens should not be alarmed. The mist is harmless and in fact, smells like mint. The process will be repeated again on Sunday February 26, 2006 at the same time.

(Or at least, this is what citizens should believe. In reality, it was the antidote for the love spell. If you have any characters who were outside or well, breathing today or tomorrow, they have been cured. In addition, Angel snuck into the water treatment plant before dawn and dosed the water supply with the antidote. So any drinking of the town's water in the next week will cure your character as well. There are no effects for those who were not exposed to the love spell)

[Delete] (starting off the wildfire plot, a few different news articles will be posted in the next few days as we build anticipation. Today's is a real article from CNN)

Drought spurs fears of active wildfire season
By Manav Tanneeru
CNN

(CNN) -- A persistent drought, coupled with unseasonably high temperatures and gusty winds, have led to a record number of wildfires this year, and weather and fire officials say conditions are ripe for more activity this spring.

From January 1 through March 22, more than 17,000 wildfires have been reported, with 1.5 million-plus acres burned across the country, according to the National Interagency Fire Center.

The number of fires eclipses the five-year average of slightly more than 11,000 fires for the same period. The acreage burned this year is triple the 549,866 acres of 2000, the previous high in the last six years.

Weather and fire officials said they fear what has occurred in Texas and Oklahoma, where the greatest damage has been reported so far this year, could be a preview of what is possible for wide swaths of the Southwest and Great Plains over the next few months.

In Texas, at least 11 fatalities were blamed on the fires, and eight towns had to be evacuated in early March, according to Justice Jones of the Texas Forest Service.

Rainfall over the past few years helped to grow the grasses and underbrush in the state, Jones said. However, the drought and lack of moisture over the winter dried out the grasses, making them ready fuel for fires.

As a result, "the entire state is experiencing unusual fire behavior," with outbreaks more intense and wide-ranging than normal, Jones said.

The U.S. wildfire season is year-round, with certain regions more vulnerable to fires during different parts of the year.

The regions most vulnerable are the Southwest, Southern Plains, Florida, and Southern California. A seasonal outlook by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, issued in conjunction with the National Interagency Fire Center, listed the potential as above normal from February to June for those regions.

During that same period, the potential for fires is either average or below average for the Northeast, Northwest, Northern Plains and much of the South.

In late summer and fall, the potential for fires will increase for the Northwest, parts of the Rocky Mountains, Michigan and Wisconsin, weather experts said.

La Niña blamed for dry weather
Effects from La Niña, a term used to describe cold weather conditions in the eastern Pacific Ocean, contributed to the unusually dry weather, said Douglas Leconte, a NOAA drought specialist.

Drought conditions are expected to continue through June for the Southwest and Southern Plains and may expand into Kansas and parts of Colorado, according to NOAA's seasonal drought outlook. The drought also may persist in parts of the Eastern Seaboard, including North Carolina and Maryland.

Some storms have pushed through the Southwest and Plains in recent weeks, including a system that brought snow, heavy rain and flooding to areas of Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Texas on March 20, the last day of winter. But it may be too late to change the conditions in place for the fire season, experts said.

"The rain and snow arrived too late to offset the impacts from months of record dry weather across the Southwest, resulting in the continuing potential for a dangerous fire season," retired Air Force Brig. Gen. David L. Johnson, director of the NOAA National Weather Service, said in a statement.

CNN meteorologist Chad Meyers added: "You need storm after storm after storm to help out this drought situation. You can't get one rain on one weekend. That's not going to relieve the drought."

Wildfires sometimes avoidable
National Interagency Fire Center spokeswoman Rose Davis said that having the conditions for a possibly active wildfire season doesn't necessarily mean one will occur.

"You need ignition sources," she said, referring to lightning, abandoned campfires, fireworks, hunting camps in the fall or careless behavior such as lit cigarettes tossed out of car windows.

"We thought last year the Northwest was in serious, serious shape, but they just didn't have the ignitions," she said.

Most of the Texas fires earlier this year are being blamed on "accidental starts," Jones said, though lightning also caused some.

Jones said he believes wildfires are inevitable in certain parts of the country, much like some places lie in flood plains and are prone to flooding every time heavy rains occur.

"Ecosystems in Texas have evolved with fires being a part of that. What the difference is that there are homes now being built in the path of those fires that are occurring and have occurred for millennia," he said.

"What we're focusing on doing as an agency is helping communities get prepared for wildfires and living in harmony with those fires that are inevitable."

[Delete] 5 college students could be charged in wildfire
Group spotted near cabin before blaze, but no arrests yet
By Jules Koltz

Five Bevel University students suspected of igniting a still as yet uncontained wildfire this weekend could face arson charges.
No arrests have been made in connection with the blaze Saturday that forced residents in the Sky Haven and Sky Village neighborhoods to evacuate in the middle of the night.

But on Sunday morning during a press conference, the St. Solanus Police Force said the group could face fourth-degree arson, trespassing, criminal mischief and tampering charges. The criminal charges will depend on the extent of their involvement, Chief Marla Kincaid said.

The five, three males and two females, were spotted by a Sky Haven resident two hours before the fire, trespassing on private property. The homeowner called authorities, giving them an early lead about who might have started the fire that burned through the night and appears to be giving the St. Solanus Fire Department trouble with containment. The five were reportedly near an old, abandoned cabin that burned to the ground.

In the past, other teenaged and college aged students have been held responsible for starting wildfires in the state. In October, for example, two 15-year-old boys were charged with arson after Humboldt County investigators said they had started a 175-acre fire a month earlier. The blaze, near Willow Creek, destroyed a cabin and came within yards of homes. In that incident, the sheriff's office reported, the boys ignited leftover Fourth of July fireworks. One teen suffered a minor burn while they tried to put out the flames with water and Red Bull, an investigator said.

In another case, two 15-year-old Riddle Rock High School students, smoking marijuana behind the school, were convicted of starting the 2000 Cedar Glen fire. The flames scorched more than 1,300 acres, forcing nearly 800 Crest Park-area homes to evacuate. Victims of the Cedar Glen fire filed restitution claims totaling $1.9 million. Firefighting costs were estimated at $2.5 million.

Jeff Buhr and Conrad Voeller were found guilty and placed on two years' probation. They were ordered to receive substance-abuse counseling, perform 1000 hours of community service, write letters of apology to the victims, participate in a fire safety course and attend family therapy sessions with their parents. Nearly a year ago, the California Court of Appeals partially overturned their convictions, saying the judge's ruling was unclear and sent the case back to him for clarification.

[Delete] Firefighters not gaining ground
Wildfire scorches thousands of acres, several homes

Firefighters in St. Solanus are making no headway Wednesday as they tried to gain control of a raging wildfire northwest of Los Angeles that has scorched thousands of acres. By late Tuesday, the blaze was only 5 percent contained.

So far, the efforts have not paid off. Over two dozen cabins have been damaged or destroyed by the fire, officials said.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger flew over the affected area Monday, after getting briefed on the latest information on the fires. Later at a press conference, he said he was impressed with the work so far, and thanked authorities and firefighters for their hard work, saying: "They are doing such a heroic job working day and night to put this fire out."

The cause is believed to be arson caused by five teenagers who were seen sneaking into an abandoned cabin over the weekend.

Mandatory evacuations were issued hours after the blaze began this weekend, and the evacuations spread as the fire expanded. About 500 people were evacuated from the surrounding areas, according to a statement posted on Ventura County's Web site.

Officials are still concerned that the fire could jump the ridge, endangering St. Solanus on the coast and other areas where thousands of upscale properties are located.

"We wanted to set up contingency plan because we did not want this fire to jump and continue on to what we call the 'Great Fire Break' which is the Pacific Ocean because it has done that before," David Tolman, Fire Chief for the Ventura County Fire Department, said Monday.

Los Angeles County and Ventura County have each declared a state of local disaster to formalize aid with other agencies and to help recoup the costs of fighting the massive fire. The fire more than tripled in size from this weekend to Tuesday evening.

Breaking news at this 5 o'clock hour. The wildfire that has been burning for seven days and already destroyed over 1500 acres, has jumped from the National Forest and into more heavily populated residential areas just outside of St. Solanus. The St. Solanus Police and Fire Departments have issued a voluntary evacuation for the following areas due to the wildfire: As far north as 10th street, as far south as 5th street, as far east as Truman and as far west as Ocean Cliff Drive. This affects residents in areas such as Forest Oaks and beach homes on San Luis and Cedar Beach. Police are encourging all residents to evacuate now. It is expected that they will issue a manatory evacuation order late Sunday evening.

SPICE UP THE NIGHT

http://journalmaniacs.com/user/bustyspice

Today at Starbucks was like such a bunch of shit. I got there like fifteen minutes later and that bitch, you know, Cranky Cow, was all over my ass. And then I didn't give this guy his extra foam and he was all up in my face. So I was like hey, its just extra foam. Fart in it if you want more bubbles. I know my loyal readers of my blog know what I am talking about. Can you believe that? And the worst is that Ant-tony didn't even notice me today. I even wore my lowest cutt shirt that I had. What do I have to do? Like sit in his lap. COmments people! Put it in the comments.

But I am so freaked out abotu this fire thing. Its all over the news. I kmnow it burned down part of Forest Oaks already, which is good cause then those rich assholes will totally get what they deserve. They come in for their mochachinos but do they ever leave me a tip? Um, no, a dollar in the jar is not oging to pay off my student loans, Jerk!

What I feel bad about is that the fire totally jumped and now its burning through those ghetto apartments and the ghetto housing down by the docks. And I hope it doesn't get the strip club or Club Duat cause like, where am I going to go dance and show off my new ink? I know its heading that direction. I am totally praying to the Goddess it burns down Luthor Corp though. Fire me from the mailroom? Suck it, baldie.

I don't feel bad for anyo of the Solanus kings though. I hope it burns down their house. Its heading right for them, so says the facist news we have to show at work. Like I said, the only people I feel bad for are those pooor people down by the docks. And cause then yeah, all the people that work in the industrial park.

Enough about that. I am totally spinning at an art show this weekend. So you guys have to check it out. Its in this dude Daneel's art gallery in Sol-ANUS Towers. So unless its burned, you have to come check me out. Shit, I just realized Lost is on. L8a!

Top of the news this hour is the wildfire that has blazed its way through St. Solanus and outlying areas for the past two weeks. We do have some good news. Firefighters have managed to contain the fire that was burning to the east of town before it could spread to the industrial park. However, the damage to local businesses on the docks as well as residents of Leeman Estates and Sin Esperanza Apartments was extensive. The fire is still burning to the Northwest and heading fast towards the center of town. Residents and businesses in the Infinity Acres and Casa Del Sol Apartment areas are being put under a manatory evacuation. Bevel University and St. Solanus High School are also being advised to close their doors. No word yet from the boards of either school on if they will take that advice. But stay turned to Channel 17 news for further updates.

SPICE UP THE NIGHT

So like this fire thing has been a total bust. It burned houses down in like Foreast Oaks and Infinity but what has it done for me lately? Thew firefighters are totally getting it under control and they should have it completely out by the end of the week. Its just like little moni-fires all over. Which is so dumb.

But the police are so onto whoever did it. They came into my sociology class, pulling people out to question them. I was so worried they were there for me because I totally had half an ounce in my backpack. Which I need to get some more so I need to be calling up my guy.

Once they catch them, I think thsy should give them a medal. Becuase fires help the world. It burns the old stuff and then stuff can grow. Too bad all the new stuff is going to be houses and all that junk.

NEwaz, it didn't burn down Starbucks, which sucks. It means I still have to go to work wuith bitchy mcbitchface. It did get like half of the Casa Del Sol apartments so all the college and emo kids were like all whining in Starbucks like "I don't have a place to live." If you can afford Casa del sol, mom and dad can get you a new place. Or sleep in your Lexus, fool!

Fire got to the police station too and that creepy old church near the park. I am glad it bured the pigs. Do I smell bacon? BAAAAAACON! Just a shame that fire is going to be out in a couple of days. Would love to see those pigs fry.

Shit, I am late for work. Whoever started this fire, burn Starbucks down next time, biiiiiiiyotches!

Okay, so let's do a list of the dead too. That way, you can know if your character is on it. These are ALL the characters in the room that I know of that are dead or have died. If I forgot you, I do apologize. Only human, sadly.

The easy ones are the vampires:
Angel
Spike
Darla
Dru
Livvie
Caleb
Gerri

Then we got The uh...not quite humans:
Buffy
Anya
Fred (if CD wants to count her?)
Connor (? questionable if the slitting of his throat was enough to kill him. Mike's call)
Emilio

Then the other humans:
Wes
Charlie
Joyce
Lilah
Gunn
Cole Turner
Jack Dawson

[Delete] In order to make this First plot a little more interesting, Mike and I (with Fluffer's suggestion) have decided to allow people to play newly activated Slayers and Watchers. However, it comes with some conditions:

1. The new Slayers and Watchers will not be registered
2. They will be killed sometime in August
3. You should be able, as a player, to interact with AI members as much as possible before you get killed
4. Before you play the new Slayer or Watcher for the first time, you have to give Mike and I a quick heads up. Just basic stuff. Don't put too much time into it because well, they are going to die

The idea is that we want the AI registered characters to get really attached to these characters before they are killed, so the deaths affect them more. This would be a great opportunity for someone who doesn't have a lot of time to just pop in, strike up conversation, and leave. So have fun. And if you have an idea for how you want your character killed, feel free to bring it up and we will fit it in.

We are also going to need some people to play the demon army that is going to brutually and I mean brutually slaughter these people. And be directed by The First. So kill or be killed if you like. LOL

Lehane is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of Charles MacGregor and the assault of Charmaine Brooks. Lehane was last seen leaving the St. Solanus Hospital at 5:30pm on August 14. She was seen driving a gold 2005 Lexus LS430, speciality plate for domestic abuse license B70GK.

In other news, Republican Congressman Carson McCready announced in a press conference today that he plans to run in the Republican primary for President in 2008. Most analysts are not stunned by this announcement as McCready as long been the GOP's front runner for President. This announcement comes on the heels of McCready's win against his ex-wife, Brenda, in family court to obtain sole custody of their children. McCready has said he would like to focus on his presidential campaign and his children, putting all the unplesantness of his divorce and accusations of abuse behind him.

[Delete] Hey all!

Well, Willow has been witchnapped, The First is corporeal, and it gave W&H one hell of an ass kicking. Now here comes the fun part, the AI team figuring out how to take care of it.

What I need is just a general idea of when people think they will be around this week. I want the plan to come organically from the players rather than me just saying okay, here is the plan. And I want everyone to be able to participate in the takedown. Which means I will need people to play some NPC demon army and people will be expected to play their own opponents as well.

I know for sure it will have to be after 5pm PST because of Fluffer. I want this week to be about plotting and wrapping up the loose ends of the Slayers that are still alive. I think also, in the confusion, if its okay with Dirt and Fluffer, Dru can nap William/Spike to take us into the next arc of play.

For plot purposes, the only real "set" pointis that the final battle needs to take down at the top of Ocean Cliff Drive. We need Ocean + Cliff. LOL

Now then, as I was typing this, I had an idea. Would it be easier if everyone played as they could this week with who was there with the intent of coming up with a way to take The First down. Then we can post it here and just say IC there was a big discussion whereas we, as players, can pick one through a board vote?

Open for discussion either here, in the room, or on a msger. Just let me know.

Tuesdays are a great day for me this semester, because it's a day off and also the day The Dude teaches in the evening.

[Delete] Okay guys...I picked a date since now everyone is dead that needs to be dead.

Fluffer can unfortunately not make it on the weekends because she doesn't have net access. I know AL has gaming usually Friday nights, Dirt has his Girls. I am hoping that tomorrow at 6pm works for everyone. If not, we can move it to Monday. I figured that a little lack of sleep for Dirt on a Friday is better than lack of sleep on a Tuesday. LOL

Basically, we can start out at AI and movie magic up to the cliff to get the battle on. Or we can start out at AI during the day and then in the evening, already be at the cliffs.

Everyone needs to be responsible for their own demons. The First will be having a good sized group with it. So how does that work? You can just post your character's actions and the demon's actions in the same post.

Here is the rundown of who needs to be there, or rather, who we'd like there, what they are doing. If you have a lot of characters to play, just give a heads up at the start. They can be NPCed of just fighting and wounds can be figured out later:

Buffy: Beating on The First to weaken it
Faith: Demon beating
Verity: Demon beating
Vincent (if he is up for it): Demon beating
Oz: Demon beating
Connor: Demon beating
Fred: Long range demon beating
Angel: Keeping anything and everything away from Willow and Wes
Willow: Not fighting since she will be saving up energy to do the spell to put The First in the urn
Wes: Mild fighting with guns but helping Willow with the spell

Staying at AI:

Charlie
Lorne

Up in the air (they can fight if they want or stay behind if they like):

[Delete] Hey all!

We hope to have The First plot tied up no later than the end of next week. If you haven't already left some times to play, please do it now on the other thread. I think we have a very good means to defeat The First, so we are going with what the chars came up with.

For mid-September until mid-October, we are going to be running two seperate plots for 'Verse characters. I need at least two, preferably four people to play some long term vampires. Long term as in, a month. I want these vamps to go after some townsfolk, really shake things up for people at AI. The two that I HAVE to have are basically two cowboy redneck type vampires. You have someone in a cowboy hat, that works. That is the extent of what I am saying here. (I like to keep surprises). The other two that aren't neccessary would be two females but I will give specifics on that to whoever answers here or AIM me.

The second plot is going to be Soulless!Spike all back in black. I imagine him and Dru will be raising some serious Hell in St. Solanus, maybe literally. I am not sure what Fluffer and PA have planned for them yet. I am going to give them both some ideas and a gentle nudge. I don't mind some surprises too. Spike won't be turned until after The First is done with.

But here is how its going to play out. Anyone from Sunnyhell (Buffy, Faith, Willow, Xander, Anya) will be going after Spike and Dru. Its going to be headed up by Buffy and she is going to call the shots as far as Spike. Buffy (as far as a player) is very responsible and I know she will guide you all into a great plot. Of course, I will be there, again, to nudge. I am good with the nudging.

The second plot, called The Judge (not the one from Buffy), is going to be for Angel Investigations (Angel, Wesley, Fred). They won't need a witch. They will just need their brains. They will also have to deal with the human fallout of vampire attacks, spinning it, dealing with the cops, etc.

That still leaves us with three members of the team that are unaccounted for, Vincent, Alfred, and Charlie. I will be tossing Charlie into the Judge plot to help spin things. Vincent's player and Alfred's player can decide which category they want to fall into.

So as I start to get the ball rolling on these two plots, I need to know who wants to play a slightly more than temp vampire (need at least two for the plot) and who from both groups is in. So you can leave a post here or catch me on AIM, its almost always on.

[Delete] Okay, I asked Mike to play one of the cowboy redneck type vampires that will be working with The Judge.

Now I just need one more and maybe, if I can get two girls, that would great. So hit me up if interested.

I think probably it would be good for the 'Verse teams to take a breather for the weekend and next week, we can get rolling with the Spike and Judge plots.

Buffy/Angel Plot Thread
Soap Star
7:07pm, December 30, 2006
[Edit]
[Delete] Well, we have plot threads for House and Smallville so about time that the BTVS/ATS folks got their own too.

So this is basically how it is going to go for the next few months in terms of all room plots that any one can participate in regarding these two canons.

In Jan, as soon as schedules settle down, we are going to have some characters get sucked through time back to the 70s. Why the 70s? Cause it is one of my fave decades, that is why. LOL The tenative plan is for at least Charlie and Buffy right now. I need to know who else would like to get sucked through. Mike has offered to play the guy that Buffy falls for so AL, get with him so he can make your dream man. The specifics of the hows or whys of the time portal haven't been totally hammered out. We were hoping, if it is okay with Zips, that Willow could be doing some spell and it goes haywire. If that is not okay, it can always be Fred, working on a new invention. Let us know ASAP about who wants to get sucked through.

For Feb, I know we did the love spell last year and that was a huge success. If you guys want to do it again, we can. Or we can do something like a giant memory spell like Tabula Rasa where people don't remember who they are with. Or they could have altered memories. Or even a shift so everyone thinks they are in the past (ie Buffy and Angel still together, Spike and Dru tearing up town, Willow all straight and shy, Fred pot smoking nutter). Totally up for votes.

For March, Fluffer and I have come up with a new Big Bad that I don't want to reveal here. BUT, because we are going to need a lot of PCed victims and bads for this plot, I might have to tweak the rules for participation. If you want to participate in the March plot, you have to play at least one big bad character, and three fodder chars. As March gets closer, I will write more on it as we hammer out details.

For April, Every April, we do a natural diaster in the room. Right around tax day. We have done fire and earthquake so far. This year, we are going to give St. Solanus a rest...in a way. We are going to do a diaster of a different sort in that we are going to greenlight PA's post-apocolypse plot. That will be the whole month of April, just as if we had a flood or whatever. More details on that will come when we get closer to April.

So this thread is now open for discussion. First and foremost, I need to know who wants to go to the 70s with Buffy and Charlie and which Valentine's Day plot sounds the best to you.
Offering up magical disasters!

[Delete] Okay, here is how it is going to go down, after talking to Zips and working out a few kinks here and there.

Willow and Oz will naturally be attending the party. Now because Zips works and Dirt has school, they don't have to be right there when you decide to have your character lose their memory. Starting on Valentines Day and running until, well, we feel like people have had enough time, there will be a little heart icon up for the Masquerade Ball. That is where it is happening. You can use that icon at any point to play out the memory loss.

Because a couple of people came to me on IM, we decided that it won't be a complete memory loss unless you want it to be. Your character has to lose at least 3 years though, since that is how long we have been open. The more, the better though.

Also, it doesn't mean your character has to lose their memory in order to gain the repressed memories. At the end of it, when Willow does the final end of spell, all those hidden corners of the mind will be opened up. This is a great chance for character development. Might I suggest remembering past abuse, trauma, maybe even...murder?

Now until Willow can undo the spell, there is something simple that characters can do to get their memories back. I am not going to tell you at this time. If I see your character do it, you will get a PM or an AIM msg stating that when they wake up tomorrow, their memory will be restored. And no, it won't be dancing in pudding or something silly.

If there are any sideplots you want to play out during this big plot, please contact myself or Mike. I know Zips has one with Willow. Fluffer has one with Kiera. That is all I have so far, outside of Spike and Angel getting memories back. Anything else that might need to be played back in a flashback, let one of us know.

Any other questions, this is the thread for it. :)

Willow goes into one of the ladies rooms. It is abandoned. She does the spell but something goes wrong. Huge firey explosion comes out of the ladies room along with a thick smoke. The smoke targets certain people, hits them in the head, and then memory loss.

There was a slow song playing right before it and then chaos erupted. Just keep that in mind.

Icon will be up for about a week.

March/April Plot

[Edit]
[Delete] As it was laid out before, we are going to start our next little sideplot for the room. Mike and I discussed it and we are going to be removing Charlie/Angel to another plot, away from St. Solanus. Why? To give everyone else a chance to be the stars this time. We are going to be taking over the roles of several NPCs (along with Fluffer since this idea sprung out of a phone conversation we had together).

Everyone who wants to participate, you are going to have to participate. You will have to play, talk to the NPCs, etc. You'll be responsible for evidence gathering, coming to a conclusion. We'll be making sure you have plenty of little clues. We can't play for you.

While this is a more supernaturally driven plot this time, anyone can interact with the NPCs, gather evidence, be victims!, etc. We want to make sure that everyone gets a chance in this.

So look for those unregistered characters, alerts on the board, etc. It will be up to everyone to figure it all out.

Also, don't forget that on Tax Day, like every year, we will unviel our natural diaster plot. This year it will be the post-Apocolypse plot though instead of an earthquake or fire like we had the two years before.

Transcript of the top story on Monday, May 05, 2008

Stargazers in St. Solanus were treated to a rarity, a meteor shower. While Hong Kong and China are experiencing the Spring Aquarids meteor shower, residents of St. Solanus had an opportunity to catch what scientists are calling a rare event. An unnamed and unexpected meteor shower denser and brighter than any on record.

"This time of year on the other side of the world, people are able to see the aquarids," Dr. Dan Steele, Professor of Astronomy at Bevel University said, continuing, "Though they are not as brilliant or well known as the Leonids, those showers typically last three hours and begin around midnight. The shower in St. Solanus is far brighter than Leonids even as well as lasting nearly six hours now, with no signs of stopping. It is an amazing phenomenon." Dr. Steele went on to say that the best observation time is from midnight to 3am. Dozens of shooting starts may appear are appearing from all directions.

With the absense of the moon, it will only increase the visiblity since we are looking at clear skies well into this week and the upcoming weekend.

The best spots are the bluff at Ocean Cliff Drive, Cedar Beach, and any location away from city lights. Though we are assured that even within city limits, the meteors will be bright enough to be seen.

It's best to watch with the naked eye as telescopes can't keep up. Make sure you get out there and make a wish, right after our special report on what product sitting in your fridge can kill you.

[Delete] The plot: For the next week there will be an icon in the room, . This icon means that your character is viewing the meteor shower and is making a wish. Any character that makes a wish during the shower the next week, that wish will come true. It just may not come true in the way exactly that you think. Because really, what fun is that? Zips and I are spear heading this plot so if you want to wish but find yourself lacking ideas, IM/PM one of us and we will work it out with you.

If your character wishes during this week, you need to copy/paste it and put it on this thread. This is so Zips and I can come up with the best course of action to make your character's wish come true. We are hoping the wishes won't be completely self contained but will provide lots of plot opportunities for everyone. If your wish affects other characters (ie. bringing someone back from the dead, making someone love you) or the room as a whole (ie they were never born, lemurs rule the earth), you need to clear it with the owner of the affected character. If it affects the room, you need to contact me.

Not all wishes will turn out well. It is a roll of the dice. So be careful what you wish for. :)

[Delete] Just so that we can keep track of everything, this week will be for making wishes. Next week, after everything is plotted out and everything is coordinated between players and affected players, then we will go ahead in playing things out.

As wishes are made, Zips and I will be talking to people to plot things out. If the plot is finished and accepted by everyone involved, the following message will appear on this thread under your wish:

ETA: HAS BEEN PLOTTED OUT AND AGREED ON BY PLAYERS

Then you know that basically, you are good to go next Monday night to start playing out the affects of the wishes.

Plots 2008

[Edit]
[Delete] This is going to be our official thread for all plots or plot suggestions or any sort of plotting things.

Right now, Mike and I are running two plots with the help of AL, Zips, and Fluffer.

The first one is going to involve the children of St. Solanus, specifically the newborn babies. We could use some people to make attempted kidnappings/murders though. Some temp big bads.

Our second plot is a anyone can join in plot. We are keeping the details under wraps for now but basically something is going to target people in St. Solanus, robbing them of energy and skillz. It won't kill your character (unless you want) but will mostly leave them feeling like they've had the worst flu (or mono) of their life. If you want your character to be a victim, leave me a PM and I will PM you back with the info and schedule a time.

Any other plots or plot ideas, just post them here.

Briefness is the type of gods-
I'm gonna be away for a short bit and others are sick so plots are sparing but I thought of a kind of little sort of one after watching webisode of Ugly Betty. It happens. Don't condemn.

Previous plot, Amy Harper char escaped from Eric Mabius ex who was a druggy evil type so I thought maybe Ruth? Someone in the fashion world? Would introduce a spiffy UB-esque (canon maybe?) Mabius to her through the modeling world to cause the plotty conflict factor.

It'd add drama whenever the kid-disappearance-plot-in-the-works kicks in too. I have a fever. 104, BABY. If it doesn't make sense, blame it on that. Basically, I need people to agree to rp with me. And play an Eric Mabius fashiony char. Just PM me or IM me at impromp2baby.

Back to bed I go. I just thought I typed "Don't condom" up there. That's not true. ALWAYS condom. Safe sex is the phrase of the day.

*Throws Ruth to the plotwolves.*

Question: we're bringing Mabius back, only spiffy?

Kid disappearance: Gets big cheers, because I love to see characters suffer... SUFFER BAYBEE!

People, however not so much. Take care and get better.

Me, I'm driving by today, because I have a little feeling I'm getting to attatched at the hip to the computer.

Don't know if I should start a new thread, but while plot ideas are being swooped around. I'm moving one a little that will serve to both maybe kill (haven't decided) my new girl Kayce, and torment Vinnie, which everyone loves, right?

I still need to word my prophecy right, but if anyone wants-- a temporary rival company to W&H might need folks for that, and of course ideas for making it all uglier. PM me here in the room and I'll give with the crappy ashamed-to-reveal-my-scatterbrain details.

AL! You gave me a brain-baby! I expect child support. Or cookie dough.

I didn't initially think that fashion Eric would be the same as ex-boyfriend Eric BUT. We could totally tie the two ideas together. The Eric idea with the W&H rival idea.

What if this W&H rival grabbed a hold of Eric Mabius deal-with-the-devil style to resurrect the guy or keep him from dying? Instead of a law firm, maybe they're a talent agency because... law and show biz, both highly evil. Unless that's totally off from what you had in mind. The agency could be linked with the baby-snatchings later on and... uhhhhhhh... my braynn dun ranned oudda steem.

For aforementioned baby deal, could like... somehow... we do some kind of AIM chat not NOW or really SOON but right before? Cause I think it could get a whole lot of people involved. Maybe. Someone get me a muzzle. I think "heavy machinery" may include a computer.

Well you can have both-- because everyone knows how I do love interlocking parts!

Honestly, I hadn't defined their business beyond "A rival pandimensional business concern, who wants X prophecy [I need better verse for my prophecy] of DOOM carried out, and has set about trying to manufacture their own Male Slayers to do so."

Talent agency would be a fantastic Earthly Concern. You get the purtiest and richest and most indebted to you people that way!

[Delete] As Zips recalled, we did a kind of fun plot years ago with a group called Children of the Light run by Gabriel Light. Mike and I were talking and we are going to revive the cult. (Not all increases in evil have to be supernatural)

We need people to play cult members and people to get suckered into the cult. So if you have a character that you would like get all brainwashed and sucked into the cult, just let me know.

The cult will be different this time because the new guy running it is learning from Gabriel's mistakes. But have no fear, it is still a cult. They are still bad. If you are interested, let me know and we will set something up.

[Delete] So right now, we have a demon in town that is now only sucking the energy from the good people of St. Solanus but also, when it was summoned, it increased demonic (and ghostly) energy in town. All that bad energy is building up with more people being attacked and haunted. A lot of it isn't being played out but assume that NPC townsfolk are being harassed.

In order to do the next plot that Zips and I came up with, the feeding demon needs to suck energy from a couple more people. Once the demon has been fed enough, whatever Buffy/Angel crew feel like researching/killing it, let me know and I will give the low down about it, how to kill it.

The ramifications of the demon being killed will bring us into our next plot. So the sooner the demon can nosh on real people, the sooner it can be killed and moved to the next stage.

Zips, Fluffer, or myself can play the demon so contact one of us if you want to be chewed on. :)

[Delete] IDEA: Actors in a play turn into their characters.

PLOT: Depending on how many people are interested (and if this sounds fun, let me know), some sort of evil entity or demon or warlock casts a spell over the actors in a play in St. Solanus. They think that they are their characters. IE like when we did Moulin Rouge, Buffy (I think it was Buffy) would think she was Satine.

-----------
IDEA: Rouge slayerette takes down the Slayer School from the inside

PLOT: Not sure yet if this would be a revolution or evil Slayer but a new girl comes to town, joins the school and either 1. kills off girls or 2. turns them into an army of evil or 3. just subverts Buffy to piss her the hell off.

------------
IDEA: Mystical cult recruits Willow

PLOT: Willow, feeling ignored and rejected, finds appreciation with a new group of friends, who just happen to be part of a mystical cult. She unwittingly participates in some evil hijinks.

This one! This one here! It sparked off fangirl neurons in my compulsive little brain. Anything that can be linked with Fight Club WILL BE. What about Tyler Durdeny slayer? Yanno, with a vagina. Someone who rallies the troops to use their collective superhuman powers against The Man? And of course Buffy, being the Teacher/Disciplinarian/Keeper of Donuts would totally be part of The Man. [Delete] SLAYERETTE/FIGHT CLUB IDEA: I love it! Totally! Two, two, two menaces in one-- and of course, the Young Slayers Who Kick One Another's Asses because Demons and humans just Ain't cutting it! I like it.

I'm still also down for some wacky confusion hijinks over the Mick St. John and Angel parallels. Maybe Kayce's company comes back again for more mislaid prophecy-- or perhaps this is where she comes back from the dead (I mean all she wants to do is eat your brains, she's not unreasonable... no one's gonna eat your eyes).

Last year, or sometime in the past, I vagued it up about maybe someone making 'empty' clones-- for virgin sacrifices, vampire buffets, etc as a business... and some sort of hijinks ensue, perhaps when someone recognizes some of the remains at a ritual or something. *shrug*

Uh.... Talent Scouts come to town-- they're looking for the next 'reality TV' stars. They're really obnoxious about it, too, and possibly just a touch ninja, as in no one can escape THE CAMERAS kind of way? Possibly one of them has ulterior motives, or someone sees something incriminating-- or incriminating looking (like the Rear Window-esque episode of The Simpsons).

Wacky Treasure Hunt-- Someone reveals there's a treasure (money, item, secrets, whatever, just something of great importance) hidden in St. Solanus.... Wackiness Ensues.

Okay, more when I have REAL ideas.

[Delete] A baddie comes to town (maybe a demon) and it feeds on fear, hate, confusion, angst, etc... As if there isn’t enough of that in any soap opera-ish world, the demon needs to create more. Using some sort of trigger (could be anything, a song on the radio, a show on t.v., a video game, a shooting star, a special drink at Bliss) that affects people who see/hear/taste it – he sets off an "evil twin" or "Jekyll and Hyde" effect. Affected characters would slip in an out of their “evil other self” and do things they wouldn’t ordinarily do. It could be stuff like tell their significant other that they are having an affair/leaving them, tell a devastating secret, or they could hurt/kill, depending on how far a player wanted to go with the evil factor. When the character slips back into themselves… they have no recollection of what they’ve done. Lots of room to stir up trouble, be misunderstood, and for basically good characters to have a reason to be temporarily evol.
Because...

[Delete] These all rock so hard. I agree on the interbreeding, and put a hells yeah behind the evil (or good, in the case of some chars *eyes the Morleys*) twins.

A chance for the Morley's to save the day-- while they're all 'good!' Or someone else evil...

Just keep on pissing off the Morleys why don't ya?

V: The New Plot
X
1:45am, October 29, 2008
[Edit]
[Delete] I know I'm a little late in announcing this plot and it's totally ripped off from Moonlight and True Blood but props to them!

On Halloween, a mysterious character will be approaching any characters that would like to be approached. They will be trying to get them to try V, the hottest new drug on the street. (That's Vee, not five for you Romans)

What does V do? To quote True Blood (1x05):

V will open up your mind to everything you missin' around you. This is the life force of a vampire. They're just blood in a skin casing. Ain't a whole lot different between a vampire and a boudin sausage except...for the blood. Our blood sustains life, this blood...is life. One drop, that's all you need. Can't be greedy. Billions of molecules of pure, undiluted, 24 karat life. You take this in and you take in a piece of the vampire it came from. The trick is, you have to let it take you deep. Follow it. Soak it in.

What kind of vampire is that?

He's new. So the blood is still a little wild. I can feel him in my muscles making me strong. But you might get another side of him. The same V could affect you in a whole other way. But I guarantee you'll see the world with new eyes.

The drug looks like a piece of blotter paper with a red dot in the center. (Blotter paper is what they put acid (LSD) on for those unfamiliar). A user puts it on their tongue, letting it dissolve away.

As shown on True Blood, it makes the user see the world in a whole different light, colors are more vivid, the energy around people glows, and well, it makes people feel very amourous.

What we need is not only people to be willing to take the V (and comment here a dealer can get with you to sell it to you) and vampires willing to be captured and used as unwilling blood donations. Just reply and let us know.

Blaine will probably use it, knowing full well what it is. At least once. Recapturing her glory days or... somethin'.

Mick is my only vamp but I'm sure he could be used for a bloody factory.

I'll leave it at that for now, so my enthusiasm doesn't overwhelm!

Well, we know that:
Fred-- is a freak that girl, and of course will want to play.
Melaka-- will be convinced that drugs from history can't do nothin' to her, yo!
Alicia-- Would be cute on the drugs.
Li Mei-- if you wanna dose her, dose her
Who knows what Marla and Phoebe are already putting in their bodies, so go!

Hmm... Spice and Autumn are already messed up enough so they're out.

Buffy and Sam are tempting ins, but the pusher would have to be right.

I think that covers it. 7 yeses, two now and two 'if the planets align'.

[Delete] Wow, for once I've got the shortlist for involvement. Most of my folks just don't do drugs in general. And the rest can't do them without getting in trouble.

That said! Dr. Pete might. And Maya might but she'd be more likely to pass out the drugs. Naked.

[Delete] Okay, since Christmas/holidays are coming, we want to try to wrap this plot up before the new year. So here is the plan.

1. Mick St. John and Bill Compton are going to escape from the vampire processing plant down by the docks and go into hiding to recover.

2. It is going to be revealed who is behind the V distribution.

3. Angel is going to get nabbed by the above people.

4. At about the same time people realize Angel is missing, Mick will be well enough to tell the slayage gang about the processing plant.

5. Buffy, Willow, Faith, and Wes (and Fred too, if AL wants to double up) will go to the warehouse to kick ass. They will find not only Angel but another surprise.

6. Someone at AI that knows about Ariana's case needs to get with Willow to scry for Ariana. Then whoever gets the info can pass it along or go to kick some vampire kidnapper ass.

7. Withdrawls will start, some people will end up bond to our in game vampires because they took too much V. Vampires might start getting attacked by humans. :)

8. The demon that Sam and Riley summoned earlier will take us into our next plot, that will be announced on the board as soon as the V plot winds down. Probably next year.

Chaos Plot
Zippy
12:12am, January 21, 2009
[Edit]
[Delete] During the V epidemic, Sam Winchester and Riley Harrisbourg opened a portal to hell. While it closed soon after, portals to hell never spit out pots of gold or six foot long chocolate bars. That's probably a good thing, or else people would be knocking at hell all the time and the people that live there would get pretty annoyed. No one would sleep with visitors at all hours! And if Satan is cranky on a normal day, just imagine what would happen if he doesn't get his eight hours...

While it was open, the demon Apep managed to escape. This creature prefers not to have a corporeal body and instead navigates the earth as a cloud of black smoke. It can hide in closets and shadows, underbeds and in car trunks... and it creates and feeds on chaos and destruction. Its goal on this planet is to spread dissent like cancer-- starting with St. Solanus and ending with THE WORLD.

Where do you come in?
Here...! Here's a great opportunity to shake up characters and relationships. The demon's mere presence tips the scales toward chaos-- so, if Apep's hovering overhead you're only limited by your imagination as to who trips, falls, and lands on whose whatsit. Relationships, buildings, and people themselves crumble when the demon is near and it takes a good amount of willpower to keep from growing frustrated and perpetuating the power. It's a vicious cycle-- the more chaos it's allowed to cause, the more it's capable of. So the lives it affects potentially stand to get worse and worse until the demon's caught and disposed of. Strange black cloud sightings are also welcome, and there are plenty of people who can try to profit from the "bad luck" cloud hanging over the city.

Sam and Dean Winchester'll do the ultimate smiting, but if you want a more direct role in this shindig, let me know. We can absolutely place you/your char. As always, if you have any questions... ask me. I only bite when I'm hungry, and I've been well-fed. (Cheerios!) (The cereal, not the pseudo-Brit greeting. That's cheerio! ...But, you know. That too.)

Hi there Parents!

My name is Mary Ellen Granger. You might remember me when you signed up or at orientation. If not, then consider this our formal hello!

I hope you are all enjoying the first few days of this summer playgroup. The kids really seem to be having a great time. Our most popular activity seems to be swimming but who can blame them in this heat!

I am contacting you all because as you know, summer playgroup is free to all parents in St. Solanus. But we can only make it free thanks to the help of our parents. I know, I know, it's one of those emails.

Our first event is this weekend. It's going to be a rummage sale. I have attached the flyer to this email and there are some in the church hall that can be used to put up around town. We also need more items! If you have any junk laying around your house, well come and drop it off in Father Timmons Hall. Just remember, this is for our kids.

We also need parents to sign up for shifts during the rummage sale. The hours are from 9 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday and we will be signing up in blocks of two hours each. Please sign up for as much as you can!

Thanks again for all the help and for making this summer playgroup a success. God bless!

Mary Ellen

This is out of character information for everyone who signed up for the playgroup plot.

Mary Ellen Granger is a demon who creates competition and chaos and feeds from it. Throughout the plot, she will be sending out emails to the parents to participate in various fundraising. Each of these will make the parents more and more competative and aggressive.

For instance, this weekend is a rummage sale so parents might feel inclined to sign up to work the whole sale or at least, more than one shift. They may feel like they need to go out and buy new things for the rummage sale or take high ticket items from their home. Whatever it would take to be seen as the best parent.

After this, we will have a weekend off and then a new event. I will give ideas for competition for the next event as well. So have fun!

Hi Parents!

I just want to send out a big old thank you to everyone who helped with the rummage sale this weekend. We raised so much money that we are able to offer a new mess of activities for the kids! We could not have done that without your help.

But a special thank you goes out to Buffy Summers, Winifred Burkle, and Charmaine Brooks who brought the most amount of stuff to sell at our rummage sale. The kids wouldn't have such a great program without parents like these special ladies.

Unfortunately, our costs are going up so we will have to have another fundraiser in the very near future. I am already taking sign ups and will announce the latest fundraiser tomorrow! I hope to see lots of flyers around town.

Chins up and god bless!

Mary Ellen Granger

Hi Parents!

Sorry to be flooding your Inboxes but I finished the flyer for our next big fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of local merchants, we will be able to host a booth at the annual Fourth of July carnival! Are you excited as I am? We will be doing a bake sale so make sure you start practicing those nummy treats now. The drop off for items will be Friday July 3rd at our booth so we can price them for the next day. No worries because, big news!!! we were able to purchase an onsite refridgeration unit thanks to a donation solicited by Ms. Delia St. Martin!

I've attached the flyer so please, begin distributing it around town. If you like, mark the bottom with your intials so that we can all congratulate the person who has put up the most!

And don't forget to drop by the church to sign up to man the booth! I will be keeping track of bake sale items dropped off, who brought the most expensive treat, and how much each hour earns! But everyone gets a gold star because we are helping the kids!

God bless!

Mary Ellen Granger

Hello Parents!

Our bake sale was a huge success and we raised thousands of dollars to make our programs even better for the kids. Everyone who helped deserves a huge debt of thanks!

The biggest seller was Anna Goldsmith and her "Heavenly Brownie Bites". She sold out the fastest and earned us the most money. I could not be happier and neither could our kids.

Our next fundraiser is coming up and I will be emailing about it. Until then, take a breather, come and volunteer to take a few kid watching sessions, and enjoy your summer!

God Bless,
Mary Ellen

Afternoon parents!

We have been plugging along quite nicely with the summer playgroup and as school is right around the corner, we wanted to have one last fundraiser to make sure that the playgroup can continue next year.

Each of you will be recieving an email from me this afternoon with a list of businesses. We are asking that you call these businesses, drop by, and try to solicit donations from them for our big end of the year fundraiser.

I am sure you all know where I am going with this! Yes! An auction! We are hoping to raise as much money as possible with this! So get out there, hit the pavement, and get those donations. You have a week.

The Seasons Casino has graciously allowed us to use one of their ballrooms for the event. It will take place August 15th in the Sandpiper Room. So make sure you dress nice and bid it up high for the kids!

God Bless,
Mary Ellen Granger

((Each parent should have gotten a list with local businesses to get donations from. Of course, all the parents were given the same list as to generate competition (and maybe bloodshed). In addition to the list, the following flyer was attached to be distributed.))
