Grin 4:50pm, August 03, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] | For the past six months engineers from the great city of Du'Lucart have been commissioned by the Empire to perform a great work of art and science. Like the several zeppelins already in existence that travel to and from the capital city of Lucrecio, Abel has seen the construction of it's own zeppelin, the Seraphim. While the other zeppelin lines are intended for commercial use to transport passengers throughout Gaia, the Seraphim is part of an exclusive line that will travel from Abel to Ilmora, from Ilmora to Arlan, from Arlan to Kanon, and from Kanon back to Abel. This line has been dubbed the Luxury Line and is intended to serve the purpose of acting like a new class of luxury cruise using this new technology.
After several long months of construction the Seraphim is nearly completed, only the final artistic details are being finished and the last minute modifications to the engines are being made. With the completion of the project so close the Empire has begun the sale of tickets, costing 120 gold Crowns per passenger. This price is well beyond the price range of the average citizen of the Empire, most people don't even make this much in a year let alone have it to spend on a ticket, however there are many contests taking place in the city where 5 tickets can be won, allowing anyone from any class to attend this event and board the Seraphim on its maiden voyage.

This storyline is the first to take place in Shafador. While it seems more like a social RP there will be plenty of intrigue and combat to go around. Expect this RP to take place over several sessions as it may take some time to complete everything. We will plan for this event to begin once we have 5 people to be involved.

| Part 1 - Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here. |
Grin 8:01pm, August 12, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] | The take off of the new Abelense zeppelin, the Seraphim appeared to be a complete success. With thousands of people from all over Abel coming to see its launch and a hefty fireworks show the Seraphim set off on its maiden voyage with a total of 24 passengers and the zeppelin's staff of 35 crew members, including the captain and her four officers. Also on board for this trip were a few special guests; five Knights of the Heaven Order have accompanied the zeppelin on its maiden voyage to ensure everything goes smoothly, as well as a group of five Crows sent specifically by Wissenschaft to protect their investment, their primary concern being the safety of the zeppelin above the safety of the people. In addition, a mysterious black container bearing mark of Tol Rauko on it was loaded into the cargo area.
As the zeppelin traveled over Abel and towards Ilmora everything seemed fine, that is until hitting a hard patch of turbulence that rocked the zeppelin to its core. Unknown to the captain or the crew they had flown into a strange type of electrical storm, and shortly after the zeppelin was surrounded by bolts of red lightning that struck upward instead of down. As the captain attempted to navigate safely out of the storm and away from the lightning the zeppelin was struck dead center, shutting down the aircrafts engines and dropping it into a plummet towards the earth, however it was no the ground that they saw as the zeppelin broke through the clouds, but instead an endless sea of blood red color, only occasionally marked by tiny islands in the distance.
Just before falling to its doom, the engines cut back on and allowed the captain to save the zeppelin and those aboard it from certain death, steering the vessel back up into the clouds now that the storm seemed to pass. While it is unknown what happened to start the engines again, the Crows seemed to have something to do with it, only drawing more suspicion towards this ominous wraith-like agents of Wissenschaft. At the moment the passengers are in a panic, terrifying of what it is they see outside the zeppelin and so for the time being the captain has steered the Seraphim into the center mass of the clouds, to hide what lies outside. |

Grin 6:42am, August 19, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] | Several days after escaping the mysterious storm and finding itself in unknown territory, the Seraphim began it's slow ascent out of the clouds, hoping to find a break where they could land safely as the supplies and fuel were beginning to run low. Tensions have run hot among the passengers and fear and panic grip all aboard. The Knights of the Heaven Order discovered the remains of the guards who were tasked with watching the black container brought on by Tol Rauko, though have for the moment been ordered to keep the matter a secret while they investigate the strange incident.
When the zeppelin rose out of the clouds the passengers were greeted by an unexpected sight, a massive island flying in the sky and surrounded by a sea of clouds as if it were water. Carefully landing the zeppelin upon the shore of the island, the captain asked that everyone remain aboard the ship for the time being while a land party went ashore to investigate and ensure the safety of the island. Disobeying the captains orders, a soldier who had been seen acting strangely quickly fled the zeppelin and rushed off into the thick jungle, followed after by the man known as Jax Marteus and the mysterious Adramelech who all disappeared into the jungle behind him.
Part 2 is half completed and will be concluded at a later date. |
