It was that time again! And right on time, six'o clock pm right on the dot, radios would be tuned to that familiar station as the sounds of ominous choir music echoed wherever the radio was playing. Warehouses, security offices, living rooms, diners.....All were present and playing to catch what was one of the biggest team sports this side of the Northern Continent....Dungeons and Dragons!

"Hello sports fans, and giving you a hearty welcome from the Underdrome Labyrinth Arena, I'm your announcer and you're listening to Dungeons and Dragons! And what a sight it is today, the arena is packed and EVERYONE here is expecting a show tonight! Ooo, whats this? Coming out right now from the red corner, its Team Wolfsbane!

Consisting of Thomas Hartenger, Gregory Rucks and that daring dame of do! Team Captain Annabelle Viridian! But whats this? Coming out from the blue corner, its Team Nevermore! Lead by Team Captain "Necro" Neo Far! And his teammates, the Valentine Twins! Angeline and Demona! Stiff competition tonight folks, and only one is going to walk away-"

It was a sport that was in the spirit of the old days....When the world was wilder and larger, and adventuring parties wandered the earth. The game itself was simple enough. Two teams enter into a giant maze arena. What configurations the teams were, was up to them but generally they'd follow the same pattern. "Fighter, Cleric/Sorcerer,Rogue". Old titles, that meant nothing today but simply ranks in the game. Ways to difference plays and styles for the ones who entered the maze. Fighters, as their names suggested were the heavy hitters. Those who waded into the thick of things and smashed or slashed whatever was before them. Clerics on the other hand, were the team medics. Healing mostly and support magic from the back, though you had a Battle Cleric now and then which was always a crowd pleaser. Sorcerers were more battle-oriented, acting as artillery from the back for their allies. And as for the Rogues? Well, self-explanatory....Traps were as much a part of the arena as they were back then, and it was always nice to have someone who'd play that role. Within the maze itself, powerful illusions would re-create monsters and coupled with the traps, would create a place that was as determined to beat the teams as much as they to the maze. But that would pale in comparison to what the teams would do when they met each other... It was a competitive game. And a very, very popular one as the crowd cheered and booed alternately at various moves.

"-Ooo, and that's gotta hurt! Missed a key trigger pad there, and that's gonna cost them precious minutes- And boom! Right in the kisser folks, that's one drake that's not gonna be eager to see THEM again!- And Thomas gets it right in the ribs, but Gregory comes right up alongside to avenge his partner- And there they go, neck-to-neck folks and I tell you, I have never seen something like THIS in all my time of announcing- AND THAT'S THE GAME FOLKS! The Nevermores claim another victory, and that pushes them up the ladder! And thank you folks for tuning in and tune in next week, for our next match! And now a word from our Sponser. "Wizard Fruit Pies: You. Shall Not. Pass! Till you taste the fruity goodness!"

Team Wolfsbane: Consisting of Thomas Hartenger(Fighter), Gregory Rucks(Rogue) and Team Captain Annabelle Viridian(Cleric). A close-knit team of misfits. Thomas is a Miskatonic Dropout who likes to fight. Gregory is a sneaky sort who used to work in a chop shop in the copper district before serving his time. Annabelle is the youngest of the trio, but the one who keeps them together as a team "mom". They used to be the top champs, till they began getting upstaged but they're generally welcome and happy to help newbies. They're the standard version of the DnD teams.

Team Nevermore: Team Captain "Necro" Odim Rof(Sorcerer). And his teammates, the Valentine Twins, Angeline and Demona(Rogue/Rogue). Odim Rof is a spellcaster who specializes in summoning, while his teammates re-work the traps to work in their favor as well as backstab. Currently one of the rising star champs, and backed by a powerful sponsor.

Team Kraken: Led by a Caledonian named Angus McFarall(Sorcerer) and his teammates, Samantha Farren(Sorcerer) and Jasper Douglas(Sorcerer), Team Kraken is a strong believer in the "More Dakka" way of winning games.

Team White Knight: An all female team of fighters. They enter the game, masked and fight like a well-oiled machine. Due to a special clause in their contract which they bargained for at the beginning, their true identity is anonymous but they've proven to be a crowd favorite.

Team Street Rat: A triplet scene, two boys and one girl. All Rogues. Former circus folk, in an acrobatic act set in Little Agrabah, the Street Rats are at heart performers. Playing up to the crowd, making fun of the other teams....But they're very good at what they do. Eldest to youngest, Yusuf, Hakim and Cheng (Girl).

Team Lloth: A team of Drow-blooded folk. All clerics. All dangerous. They suscribe to the old school of Drow Warfare and though their official class is cleric, they manage to come off as a usual well-oiled team. One of the biggest names at the top currently. Firyin(Male), Bellamare(Female), Dokagu(Female)
