Welcome all t'the Fightin' Ferret. I'm Bernard, owner an' main bartender o' this lil' establishment. C'mon in an' enjoy yerself. We 'ave a lot t'offer besides drinks an' food.

When ye' first enter the nice lil' tavern you'll notice we're quite spacious an' plenty o' room for everyone. The bar itself is exactly on the opposite wall o' the door ye' just entered. On yer left and right are a bunch o' tables t'sit at to talk with yer comrades and fellow travelers. Huggin' the east wall are boothes that provide a bit more privacy.

If it's privacy ye' really need or need t'talk about yer upcommin' adventure o' anythin' o' the secret nature, it's best t'be usin' the conference rooms located on the west wall. There be three rooms to use as ye' need. All o' them are windowless an' sound proof. Ye' don't be wantin' windows anyway. The other side o' the wall is an alley. Inside the room is a large oaken table and tons o' chairs to sit in. If ye' want to use one o' these rooms, just go over to the bar an' request a key. Same goes fer more chairs.

It's easy t'get to the bar, follow me an', just walk straight ahead from the door. While we do 'ave many tables an' booths fer ye' there is a large pathway that leads straight from the door t'the bar. The bar itself stretches fer the majority of the far, o' north wall. A staircase that leads upstairs takes up a lil' over five feet o' the west side o' the north wall. We're well stocked up in the kitchen an' 'ave about anythin' you coul' want, so jus' ask. The kitchen is located in the back, be'ind the bar, but only employees are allowed back there, so don' be tryin' any funny business. As I was sayin' before, we 'ave jus' about anythin' you could need. Includin' supplies. While we are a tavern, we also act as the cities General Store. Rooms for rent are also things ye' can purchase at the bar. The staircase I mentioned before'll lead you upstairs t'the rooms. C'mon upstairs an' I'll show you.

There ye' go. Wasn' such a 'ard trip upstairs now was it? All our rooms 'ave the same accommodations. Not t'worry. The price fer a room is low an' the quality o' the rooms is excellent if I do say so myself. Each room is furnished with two beds, a cabinet, a dresser, an' a few other things. There is a common bathroom all the way down the 'allway an' on the left. You'll see it.

Well, that 'bout wraps up the lil' tour fer now. Soon t'come'll be a lil map sorta thing t'help you out a lil' better. We'll also be creatin' a lil price setup on a piece o' parchment o' whatnot. I 'ear it's called a menu or somethin'. Anyway, I best be gettin' back downstairs. There's no tellin' what those Dwarfs down there'll do if they go without a drink soon. 'ope t'see you later!

Well, 'ere you go lads and lasses! Ol' Bernard 'ere, bein' the poet 'e is, now 'as a theme song fer his tavern!

We got winners; we got losers;
Pipe smokers and boozers.
An' we got peasants; we got farmers;
An' we got, thirsty old timers.
And the travelers come from near and far!

Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.
We got wizards; we got clerics;
Broken hearted fools from the barracks.
An' we got angry dwarves; we got fighters;
Early birds and all nighters.
And the guardsmen talk about their battle scars:
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.

I love this bar,
It's my kind place.
Just walkin' through the front door,
Puts a big smile on my face.
It ain't too far; come as you are.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.

I've seen pirates; And I've seen evil doers;
Goody two shoes and worriers.
An' we got lovers; lots of lookers;
I've even seen dancin' girls and bad cookers.
And we like to drink our ale from mugs and jars:
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar, yes I do!

I like my sword, (I like my sword),
An' I like my chainmail, (I like my chainmail),
I like to take them into battle;
With a little ol' spear and flail:

Awwwww, but I love this bar,
It's my kind place.
Seeing the drunken dwarves,
Puts a big smile on my face.
No cover charge; come as you are.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I just love this ol' bar.

Lyrics derive from Toby Keith's song 'I love this Bar'

Temporary updates until a more detailed explanation and update to previous posts can be made.

The Fighting Ferret is neutral ground and is a sanctuary for all that enter, so long as they do not wish harm on others for the duration of their stay. Though it is in the middle of Tyrsis, it is not technically a part of the city, thus not directly under their laws.

The laws that govern the Fighting Ferret stem from origins that is perhaps as old the first children of Oberon of the Fae himself. So long has their been races that walk Arcadia, so long has there been a sanctuary for anyone seeking peaceful rest and rejuvenation. These laws are unwritten, but known to all as simple matter of fact - as an apple surly falls from the tree, surly do all simply know.

Offensive or harmful magic used within the walls of the Fighting Ferret will simply fizzle out and have no effect. This includes, but is not limited to, enchantments or magical effects from items and weapons.

Enchanted weapons, should they be used offensively, lose their abilities and become nothing more than normal weapons.

While the use of normal weapons is still possible, even then one cannot count on simple interactions their instincts have gotten used to. Handles become loose, blades become weaker, arrows do not fly straight, and Bernard becomes angry.

As long as their has been the sanctuary, there has been its caregiver and keeper, Bernard. Though this would mean Bernard is as old as any race, it is a fact that goes unquestioned, it -and he- simply is. Endowed with the means necessary to maintain the unwritten laws of sanctuary, those that have sought to oppose him in the past, have seen their blades and weapons rendered useless.

More detail to come.
