So, it occurs to me to put them out for public consumption. Before I begin posting, I'd like to just say, regardless if you want them, it's a fun bit of brainstorming, and if nothing else, we can get some really cute ideas out of it. Goldie Locks Species: Earth pony Relative Age: Late teens Base of Operations: Ponyville Body Color: Yellow Mane Color: Gold Eye Color: Blue Cutie Mark Story: Goldie's family never had any sort of tradition or family business, but was always content to stay right in town. Her mother worked as a lamp maker, and her father stayed home most days, telling her stories of far away places, and great ponies big and small, but what captured her interest most of all were of ancient places lost and all but forgotten, and she swore she'd find them all one day. From that moment on, she would drag her friends along on crazy adventures, exploring the depths of what the little town of Ponyville had to offer. One fateful day, when she discovered a cave entrance near the border of the Everfree Forest, and had failed to acquire her friends' help, she went in on her own. Spelunking alone wasn't the brightest idea, but she was sure she found something amazing, and wasn't going to let it by. Deep in the cavern, Goldie took a false step, and a small rockslide left her stranded down a sloped tunnel. But all was not lost, as she saw something glimmer in the darkness and followed it; there, she discovered a necklace, lost who knows how long, but more than that, an underground river. She knew she had no way back, so she went forward, her treasure in tow, and followed the river right into Ponyville's own well, climbing her way back out to her friends' surprise. A unicorn recognized the necklace as her own, and Goldie returned it without a hitch, and that was when a treasure chest appeared on her flank, forever marking her future as a finder of valuables. Harmonic Element: Generosity Personality notes: Goldie is self-appointed as being fearless, and never steps down from a good adventure. She never quite got over her childlike wonder of those days gone past, and can be seen as immature by others her own age. Besides exploring, she loves a good story, both hearing and telling them, and always has some yarn or another to spin. Is the idea here that these are characters that don't belong to anybody and can be checked out as needed like books from a library? Or is the idea here to give players ideas if they need a new pony on the spot, but once they start playing one of these ponies, that pony is their character from that point on?   Junie Bug 2:19am, September 14, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] Either/or, actually. If they have use for the pony for a given scene, they can put them into circulation as needed. If they end up liking what they've come up with enough, they can adopt them permanently. When Dashing set out on his own in his adolescence, he set his sights on the frontier, heading for parts unknown to find somewhere he could belong. It was then he found Appleoosa, in the midst of early construction which he was only too happy to lend a hand with, ready to move on once he was done. Fate intervened, when Dashing Stranger was present for the construction of their schoolhouse, and the bell fell, causing a chain reaction of destruction. Everyone inside for the project was trapped inside, and he knew then that he had to leap into action; he cleared the debris as best he could, ushering those boxed in to safety, and went inside after an injured filly trapped under the rubble. He put everything he had into pulling her free right before the final collapse, standing gallantly in the aftermath and shielding her from the flying shards. It was at that moment he knew who he was meant to be, a hero to those who needed him, wherever they may be. A bow and arrow signified his quick reaction to danger, and he's remained close to Appleoosa, where those who celebrated his bravery would accept him at last. Harmonic Element: Loyalty Personality Notes: Yeah, he's kind of cheesy, but sometimes you just want to mess around with a character like this. Back to the point, he's an utterly selfless individual who shows up at just the right moment, just as soon ready to vanish again before anyone can catch him. Some newcomers think he's a myth, or a figment of their imagination, and he's not one to argue that point. Name: Angel Beat Species: Pegasus Relative Age: Late Teens Base of Operations: Born in Canterlot, Currently on tour Body Color: White Mane Color: Very light blonde Eye Color: Blue Cutie Mark Story: Angel grew up with a very privlaged family in Canterlot, Her mom and dad were big time businessponies. Angel didnt spend much time with her parents she spent most of her time with her friends from school. Angel had always had a great voice and she was happiest when she was singing but it was nothing but a hobby for her. Her friends always told her that she should do something with her talent but Angel was content with it just being a hobby. One day her close friend Cloud Skimmer grew very ill, the doctors told her that her chance for survival was very slim and that she didnt have much time. This tore Angel apart..She loved her friends more than anything else, they were always there for her so she was going to be there for them. So everyday she visited Cloud Skimmer and sang for her, she did this everyday for the next 3 months. Then one day when she visited, the doctor pulled her off to the side. He said that it was a miracle, Skimmer's condition was slowing improving and that she would be able to leave within the next few weeks if things kept going the way they were. Angel was overjoyed but she wondered how it could have happened. He said that her singing was what gave Skimmer the will to live and keep going, She wanted to be able to keep hearing her voice. Her singing gave her hope. Angel was so happy she was able to help her friend pull through, And with that she visited Skimmer and sang to her once again. At that moment she realized that if she could help her friend maybe she could help other ponies with her music too, She could give ponies hope. On that day she got her Cutie Mark A winged heart with a musical note in the center. Soon she was recognized for her talent and signed on to a contract, she became a star. She would be able to do what she loved, She would be able to give hope to ponies all over Equestira. Harmonic Element: Kindness- Angel will always put others over herself, even if it seriously inconveniences her. Personality: Angel is a selfless sweetheart, She is very kind and generous but this can also lead to her being a little too trusting and naive. She will always do her best to support her friends and keep there spirits up. She is a optimist and always looks on the bright side of things. Picture: (Cutie mark updated!) Her family took her out west to Appleoosa for a new start, hoping the fresh community would be good for her. To be sure, she did warm up to a few select ponies, and even got involved with the town's construction. It was when working on the schoolhouse that a misstep left her injured, trapped under some rubble from a major collapse. She struggled, to no avail, thinking all hope was lost. It was at that point she saw the silhouette of her savior in the doorway, striding forth unerringly to her rescue. She was more than grateful, she swore it was love at first sight. At that moment, her heart opened for the first time, and she felt she had to see everyone felt that experience at least once. The arrow piercing the heart on her flank came in crystal clear, and she set herself up as a matchmaker in short order. Harmonic Element: Kindness Personality notes: Since her rescue, Sweetheart has settled into a stable relationship with an Earth pony named Silver. He frequently disappears when there's trouble, but she doesn't pay it any mind. On a more personal level, she tends to get into other ponies' business, frequently inserting herself in conflicts if she senses some other kind of tension. She's typically very good at figuring out a social problem, now that she's settled in, but sometimes she'll revert back to shyness, if things get too intense. He trained himself day after day, hoping to take up the honor of protecting royalty when he grew up. And grew up he did, bigger and stronger than anyone in his class, taking it upon himself to monitor his peers and stop injustice. He often did more harm than good, exacerbating problems he involved himself in despite his heart being in the right place. After a particularly difficult altercation with a young Goldie Locks and a bullying pegasus, he'd finally driven off the offending party, standing at guard for the stubborn filly. They became fast friends, and Goldie frequently invited Silver on her expeditions into "The Unknown," and he felt only too obliged to keep her safe. As these adventures got more and more dangerous, and the spaces got tighter and tighter for such a large colt, he decided enough was enough, and pushed for Canterlot, where he took to attempting to enroll as a squire. Though his physical prowess was impressive, it was clear he wasn't ready, and failed nearly every test given. Regardless, one of the guards was impressed with his tenacity, and introduced him to a master courier. Putting his land speed to the test, he broke several records in a test run, and was quickly recruited. He'd figured out his place at last, not as glamorous as he was expecting, but the envelope on his flank cinched the deal, and he's been happily relaying messages almost at the speed of magic ever since. Harmonic Element: Honesty Personality notes: He still keeps tabs on Goldie Locks now and then, but being a city apart hasn't been easy, even for one of the fastest Earth ponies in Equestria. He still has dreams of the prestige of guard life, but his work takes him to all the sights he'd ever dreamed of. Occasionally, there's still the twinge of adventure in his bones, and he eagerly awaits the chance to stride into new places. Without thinking he jumped in and told the mugger to leave her alone...regardles to say this was not the best idea. The mugger mearly scoffed at the young pony and contiuned what he was doing. Stronghoof then ran up and kicked the mugger in the back of the leg causing him to wince for a bit, Giving the victim enough time to escape. Once the mugger recovered he beat Stronghoof til he could barely stand up. Just as he was about to finish the poor pony, The victim returned with the Manehatten PD backing her up. The mugger was arrested and Stronghoof was sent to Manehatten Urgent Care. When he awoke he found that his parents and the victim were there, his folks were really proud of him and the victim give her undieing gratitude, for if he hadnt intervened there would be no telling what would have happened to her. Then there was a flash underneth Stronghoofs bandages near his flank. After he removed them several days later he found he had his Cutie Mark. A gold shield with the scales of justice in the center of it. A few years down the road he became a cop for the MPD where he served with them for 30 years, in his older age he has been transfered to a smaller town, Ponyville. Harmonic Element: Loyalty- Stronghoof will always drop everything to protect and defend the citizens of Ponyville. Its his solemn duty. Personality Notes: Stronghoof as his name implies is a very stern and stouthearted pony. He loves his job as a cop and wouldn't trade anything in the world for it. He sees the citizens of his town as his charges and will drop everything to help them with there problems big or small. He doesnt like paperwork and would much rather be out fighting crime...in the literal sense. Despite his large and intimidating stature, he has a soft spot for children. He'll go on and on telling wild and fantastical stories about his many adventures fighting dragons and getting hydras in chokeholds...weather or not these are true is another mystery. Body Color: Teal Mane Color: Brown Eye Color: Sky Blue Cutie Mark Story: Cloudskimmer was a student at the Canterlot Flyers Academy. Initally she was a very week flyer, She could only really use her wings to keep herself airborne and for short distance travel. She could never hope to perform amazing stunts like other stronger flyers. Though one thing she was, was a thinker. She love cooking up ideas. One day she was resting on a cloud drawing up sketches when she dropped her notebook on the cloud, she noticed that the plastic cover of the book seemed to glide across the clouds surface. This sparked a idea. A few weeks later she had specially desinged horseshoes made from a very slick plastic. She set up a group of clouds in a sort of race course. Then she flew to the top if a ramp of clouds she made and jumped. As she slide down the ramp the shoes were letting her glide across the clouds like skates. It was a little slick at first but soon she was able skate like a pro. The great thing about this was it needed little to no wing power, sure you had to get up to the correct height but after that you were home free. She finally found something she could do without being a strong flyer, and she thought up the idea up herself. After she finished the course a group of pegasi including a white pegasus with blonde hair, soon flocked to see what the commotion was and to try out this new flyer sport. After everyone had left she noticed that she had her Cutie Mark, A winged sandle atop a cloud. Harmonic Element: Generosity- Though she may not do much with her ideas, She is glad to share them with her friends and let them make it there own. Personality Notes: After she got sick, Skimmer learned a very important thing. Live life to the fullest. She lives that way everyday, always finding new things to try and experiment with but at times it can get her in to very dangorus situations. Though she always has time for Cirrus Skating her custom sport. She is also Angel Beats biggest fan and best friend and follows her on tour all over Equestria and of course Skimmer gets free admission to all of her concerts. She still loves to think up all sorts of neat little ideas, but is a bit to scatterbrained to actually follow through with most of them. His parents then sent him to live with his grandfather Fizzle. Personality: Fizz Boom is a very eager pony, and is always willing to try new things much to his familiar Feuer's dismay. He looks up to his Grandpa Fizzles, He was once Fizzle the Fantastic the famous pony magician, So Fizz wants to grow up to be a magician too. He can be a bit reckless and sometimes doesnt think things through, But he always means well. True Calling: Fizz has no Cutie Mark a "Blank Flank" if you will. Fizz does have his talents though..he just doesnt realize it yet. He has a knack for special effects. He is very good at making fireworks, smoke screens, all sorts of dancing lights and pyrotechnics. He also is a good chemist, One needs a sound knowledge of chemical reactions to make a show like that. Though he is a bit too wrapped up in following in his grandfathers footsteps to realize where is real talents lie.
